So, space!

Wrath of the Cosmos!
So, space!
Cool, how did you find out?
There's an advert on the side of the Vengeance box. We saw it.
We did indeed. And Adam drew Legacy for us!
Which one?
I am super exctied about that. I know for sure one of the heroes (and can guess the other one) and would imagine we'll be getting the Naturalists's nemesis as well, based on Vengeance art.
Regular Legacy
Yeah, I reckon I know two of the heroes. Interesting stuff!
Shouldnt there only be two heroes?
Hooray for Thorathian girls and a fifth Prime Warden! (Both are featured on the box art)
Fun. Do we know who the villains are?
Any chance of this picture showing up here?
I would guess at least one if not both nemeses for the new heroes (one of who may big big cosmic entity dude, which I have no insider info on). I personally would guess The Naturalist's nemesis, and hopefully we get one of Unity/Scholar/AbZero
I took a picture over google hangout but it was kinda blurry. Can someone who actually has the box upload a good quality picture?
I'm in the non-KS preorder group. If nobody posts it before I get my copy, I'll do it then.
Any idea when those will be going out…Im gathering soon but if a more specific date was available…
Spoilers NAO PLZ!
PM me, if you don't want to post the details here!
I'm very excited! I'm sure we're going to see some Prime Wardens promos with this new expansion! That'd be a fun thing.
Given Prime Warden Fanatic was being played by Christopher as far back as the UK Games Day, I'd think this is a good possibility.
And there may have been another promo card lying about the HQ. Hearing that was music to my ears.
ill make a wiki page for all the release day stuff that I found/ others may have when I get home tonight… you could see Christopher and all thoughtfully planned /planted spoilers…
Any release date? Christmas 2014?
I don't think a release date was mentioned for WotC. (Don't you just love that acronym?)
Some of us were speculating about this on the drive home last night, but we didn't come to any real conclusions.
I took some pictures and will eventually post some, but I'm not sure when I'll get around to transfering images off my camera. The thing you should _really_ be looking for is the video that Evan was taking. They had a very fancy looking camera, a boom mic, and what looked for all the world like a steadycam.
I suspect Wrath of the Cosmos will be expected to be released this fall. Reason being, the Shattered Timelines stretch goal was for Sentinels expansions to be released half a year earlier than initially intended, starting with Vengeance. And that every expansion starting with Vengeance would be released roughly a year apart. After the announcement of the delay for Vengeance, I believe >G stated that only Vengeance would be delayed, not effecting the release schedule of all future SotM expansions. Since Vengeance was intended to be released in fall and if they are still going by what they had previously said, then it stands to reason that WotC will be fall. Which I totally hope it to be true, as I am totally stoked to finally able to have the full cast of Prime Wardens.
I totally NEED to earn playtester status for WotC. I take no responsibility for my actions if this does not happen.
Well, according to Christopher, you have 2-6 months in which to make that happen.
How exactly does one go about earning said status ask while rapping fingers ala mr burns
I, too, would be interested in this process... *intregued*
I think it’s been said before that you may be able to message Paul or one of the others to see about becoming a playtester outside of the kickstarter rewards.
I can’t verify that this can actually be done but I’ve heard the rumor plenty of times.
Best on what they did during GSF, then a playtester section in the >G store will appear around the same time as a new product will need playtesting. Which usually has the cost of $40.
The best way to become a playtester in the short-term will be to stay tuned to this website this week, when, at some point, we will make Playtester Status available through the web store for $40 for 48 hours (don't worry about constantly refreshing; we'll make a news post, a forum post, and a mailing list email). If you miss that window, who knows???
*Starts to gather F5 keys to replace the ones Silverleaf is about to wear out.*
Today is the best day ever!
I got a free game in the mail (Eight Minute Empires: Legends, which I won in reviewer Joel Eddy's favourite games of 2013 competition), I ate pizza, and now I know I won't have to go rogue in a lack-of-playtester-status-fueled rage.
Yeah!
Thanks Paul. :)
Ah, the beauty of mostly using an iPad. Do you have a collection of spare fingers?
Silverleaf: you should totally join us and be a playtester. Just saying.
I do not need to buy playtester status.
I do not need to buy playtester status.
I do not need to buy playtester status.
I need to buy playtester status.
I DO NOT NEED TO BUY PLAYTESTER STATUS.
One of us. Gooble gobble. Etc.
I'm absolutely there. And unnecessarily excited…
Never put salt in your eye.
You totally need to buy playtester status.
GtG guys -- I have the "Create Item" form at BGG filled out for Wrath of the Cosmos. Permission to post, or would you prefer to do that yourselves?
I'm with you.
Same cost as an expansion, and you get tons of them, and [REDACTED] parties with the [REDACTED], I mean really that [REDACTED] is off the [REDACTED], am I right? Roll high my friend, or you'll be wishing you had.
jffdougan, go for it. I'm sure not going to do it. Gotta keep making games!
Done! Extra information that comes out can get added/corrected later.
Oh yeah, the [redacted]. Sweet, sweet [redacted].
Kill Danny.
So, Wrath of the Cosmos. I can only assume it's about a group of angry cover models from a famous women's magazine.
Playtesting would be fun, but having money within the next two days would be even more fun. Not seeing it happening.

Is it just me, or does something about Captain Cosmic on the cover look a bit odd?
So the box image confirms Naturalist's presumed nemesis is in WotC, unless he's really CaptCos's (though an image on a hero incap side is usually a strong sign that he is the nemesis). Also have the "cosmic" symbol from the big dude in Reveal the Flaw which makes it likely we're seeing him in this expansion too.
It needs to be fall already
Or whenever this expansion is coming out.
Also does this mean we are going to get to play with some new toys/spend a lot of time printing and cutting and sleeving.
Why thank you.
So, is the lady in the lower right nonhuman, or is the extreme overlargeness of her nose just artistic license?
I really like the way Captain Cosmos looks here - very Dr. Strange-esque, fitting with my belief that he's a Silver Surfer expy. I'm not impressed by his name, but will reserve judgment until we find out how he plays.
I wonder if that may be the Neo-Elf someone was talking about earlier.
Yeah. The Right arm is too short. the Left arm (which is raised and creates the framing for the image through the "Starburst" is proportionally correct, where as the right arm looks crammed into the image. It looks like it should either fall a bit more further down or not look so "squished" against the body. It should look more relaxed or even a bit out to the side a bit might help.
Every hero 'verse needs a cheesy hero and villain, because reality would force such things to exist. News writers aren't the most creative people, someone is getting stuck with a lame name.
According to Christopher, playtesting will hopefully start in 2-6 months.
So the Thorian on the left is Skyscraper, right? I mean, she was all giant size in one of the Dreamer's cards, and looks pretty tall there, so…
EDIT: Sorry, Thorathian.
Its the Mass Effect effect. I find myself mixing them up as well.
We think so.But no gaurantee.
Where did you get this image? And are you actually allowed to post it? It still looks cool!
It's from the side of the Vengeance box.
Its on the side of the bottom lid of the Vengeance Box. It's totally fair game to post it here.
Derpity derp derp.
Okay I looked on the box, and I guess I missed it completely. Deepest ap[ologies to lynxfox. I meant no harm. Thanks for clearing things up!
I'm guessing the hotly speculated Cosmic Entity "final boss" will make its appearance in WotC. The final boss will be something else.
I actually agree with Ketigid. "cosmic entity" fits well with wrath of the cosmos. Plus I am sure that the >G folks have big plans that we can't even guess at.
So something a la Galactus with more HP than Akash'bhuta, and immune to a lot of things? Sounds exciting!
That would be awesome. Especially if it mixes Akash'bhuta's mechanic of fighting her limbs with Vengance style villain mechanics. By that I mean each limb (head, arms, ect) has it's own character card that the heroes have to take out peicemeal. Sort of like the Lavos fight from Chrono Trigger.
Yes to this.
"Immune to a lot of things" doesn't sound much fun.
Depends on how they did it, could be fun, something like:
When Cosmonautilus is dealt damage find the square root of that damage, select that number of damage types, rounding normally, by alphabetical order starting with the last damage type Cosmonautilus was immune to, Cosmonautilus is now immune to those damage types until the next time that Cosmonautilus is dealt damage, or until Thursday, whichever smells better to the person on your left.
I like this better than 'Cosmic Entity'. Consider this stolen good sir
I am in awe.
I am stealing the Cosmonautilus name, obviously. Also, that rules text is best thing I have seen this week.
Darn it... I wanted to change my forum name. I guess I have to do the next best thing.
There's always a more insane step to take.
Are you suggesting I join the space program and requets to be launched LIVE into a super nova? Because they denired my application. Twice.
Yay! More math!
I wonder if the reptilian guy with the crystal is an Atlantean. I'd assumed we'd see an Atlantean show up at some point, either a hero or villain, since their ruins are an environement. The ruins have things like autoturrets and crystal spires, which makes me think that floaty-crystal-guy could be a candidate.
...or, maybe the set will simply have four alien villains. That would be cool too. If they are, I wonder if they'll act as GSF tie-ins.
I think four random aliens would be pretty lame. But if he's an Atlantean I'd be extremely happy. I was trying to think of how he could be anything other than a Voss clone (in the sense that Mongul and Annihilus and Darkseid and Imperiex and god knows who else are all not really all that different, being different races of alien doesn't change the fact that they're pretty much all just omnicidal alien conquerors who differ only in particulars of appearance and powers and such, seldom having much in the way of personality and nothing relatable in terms of backstory), and this is a much better idea than anything I came up with. I hope you're right.
I think the next expansion will contain multiple smaller environment decks. We will use multiple environments in a game based on the number of heroes. This is to simulate battling villains on multiple planets. In space.
You mean SPAAAAAAACE!!!
Pretty sure the Cosmic Entity is not going to be in this expansion. He's not on the box. That symbol is for the guy on Reveal the Flaws, who I am pretty sure is NOT Cosmonautilus.
