Just played my first game!

I got the Enhanced Edition and  Shattered Timelines for my birthday this week. I sat down tonight and played a solo game to get a feel for things before I tried to recruit some other players.

I decided to keep it simple my first time so I took Ra, Legacy and Tempst against Baron Blade in Megolapolis.

I rolled him pretty easily. Once he flipped, he started dealing some heavy damage to my characters. But Legacy combined with equipment had Ra dealing at least 6 damage a turn. Tempest also chipped in and I was never in any real danger of losing. I think Legacy was down to 18 HP, Ra had 16 and Tempest had 14. I really dug using Legacy which surprised me. I'm not usually into buffing players but you could just see the impact he was having on the game as he started adding some ongoings. Tempest had a bad draw and was the least useful. Flash Flood did come in handy and he was helping to reduce some of the big damage that Blade was dealing out at the end. Ra was really fun too. 

Overall, I loved the game. I really liked the pace and the last couple of turns were awesome as the damage was just flying all over the place. I can't wait to get the other expansions and really dig into this game further.

Welcome aboard! 

Glad you enjoyed your first game!  The other villains in the base game are unique and fun/difficult in their own right.  Shattered Timelines has some crazy villains that will make your head spin!

Be prepared to become addicted; pretty soon, you'll have picked up Rook City + Infernal Relics as well as the Unity, The Scholar, Ambuscade, Miss Information, Silver Gulch, and Final Wasteland mini-expansions.  Hope your wallet is ready for it!

Wanted to make sure you knew about the nemesis rule, as Blade would do a lot of damage to Legacy in that game (and vice versa).

Speaking as another new player I went the opposite route getting the mini expansions and Rook City/Infernal Relics.  I just got hammered by Omnitron in Pike Industrial Complex and can't wait for a rematch.

Wheee, another newcomer to the Multiverse - welcome and I think we all look forward to hearing the many tales of epic wins and horrendous defeats that you'll end up amassing as you spend many hours playing this epic game :D.
