Replacement decks availability (which characters "need" >1 deck?)

Are the replacement decks going to be available again at any point?

I want to be able to have America's Finest and America's Newest Legacies show up in the same game...

...and maybe the newer promo will make me want a third Legacy deck.

Maybe some other characters as well, though most of the promos seem to be different facets of the same person rather than two entirely separate people who could conceivably show up in the same place at the same time. Anyone have any ideas for other characters I should consider having two of?

Will that be soon as in before the Christmas shipping date deadline?

For sure one of the Bunker promos (and probably the newer as well) and Unity are differant entities.

Yeah for sure. They should be back tomorrow or the next day at the latest.

I had a look, and here are my thoughts…

Absolute Zero may or may not be the same entity. The promo one looks to me to be much larger and more muscular, so I'm thinking they're two different entities.

Bunker looks to be two different entities, since I'm pretty sure the original is caucasian, and the promo one is decidedly not.

Fanatic I'm not sure about… It could be the lighting, but it's looking like there are two different skin tones and therefore two different characters.

Haka I'm also not sure about… It could be the same character, but there seems to be an enormous difference in style between them.

Legacy is obviously two different beings.

Tachyon looks to be the same character with different hairstyles and outfits. I think it's the same person.

Tempest looks to be the same being, one card looks to be at a later time after at least one difficult encounter…

Unity I could go either way on… It's possible the golems made the promo card version, or it seems plausible she did that to herself and the promo is the same character from a later time.

Wraith looks like it's probably the same character from different times in her life.

Visionary looks like it's two different characters, but it's plausible that it's the same character in two different time streams or maybe the same character after undergoing some intense hardship.

It looks to me like all the new promos are the same characters as the originals, with perhaps a different focus or at a different time.

Thoughts on any of that? I didn't miss anyone did I?

Legacy is 3 different people.

Legacy and Bunker's promos are the only ones that a different people (infact 3 different people.)

Unity is a odd case, but the promo is a bot that thinks it's really Unity.

While Visionary is still the same body, but different minds.

So far, the rest of the cast is still the same, but are from different points in times or from alternate timelines.

AZ is just a guy who's getting worse. The cold is overtaking him in the promo version.

Bunker is mantle that can be passed on, can easily be different people.

Fanatic is Helena. I don't think she can pass on the mantle, the 2nd one is representing her new resolve post battle with Apostate.

Haka doesn't age. He might look a little different because, you know, a long time has passed and art style isn't quite the same, but it's the same guy.

Unity is.. tricky. Only a few people really know what exactly is going on there and we will probably find out down the round.

Wraith is a title. It could be passed on. Odds are good that one of those is not Maia.

Visionary is the same physical body, if not the same personality.

Nah, there is only one Wraith. Maia can be seen on the promo art for Sentinels Tactics alongside a well aged Legacy. She's not going anywhere

Price of Freedom has very strong implications to be someone other than Maia.

Fair enough, but either way, Wraith is a title. It could be taken up by someone else. It is much harder for another person to go through a horrible accident to have their internal temperature to be dropped to near 0K, or happen to be an immortal dude or angel dudette.

Giving someone a lot of training and resources is a much easier and more likely thing to occur.

A New Hero Emerges!

Pydro, Wizard of the Links.

All his cards could be puns on HTML or golf.

Base Power:  Hyperlink - Select a hero card by name.  One hero may search either their hand, deck or trash for that card, and put it in their hand, if it is in their hand they may put it in play.  If the card named is not found Pydro takes 2 irreducible Ronway damage.

So it's looking like Legacy is the only one that would "need" multiple decks, since Bunker is the only other major candidate at this point, and I get the sense that there would only be one Bunker at any one time. ...and we still don't know for sure about Unity.

...though perhaps using multiples of the same deck with different promos would make sense when fighting in certain places (1886) or against certain villains (La Capitan), but that may be going a little further than I want to go with this idea.

"Officially", it's just one deck for each hero - the game isn't really meant to be played with multiples of a single hero's deck.

Thematically, well… We all know I am in favor of playing with multiple instances, where it’s thematically appropriate. :sunglasses:  You really have to come to agreement on how it’s going to work before going there, though.

I have a deck available for each hero and their promo version and have used them together with varying degrees of success using a variety of house rules.

Free-flowing beer and fun-loving friends certainly increase the chances of success/fun.

P.S. I have mentioned this before, but I'll reiterate: if you are going to use multiple decks of the same hero in one game I recommend you mark the cards for one deck or sleeve them differently or somehow differentiate them in some way (I put a small blue dot on the corner of one deck). Otherwise you might spend a lot of time separating the decks if you mix them/drop them accidentally.

It has been said that there is only one Legacy at a time, and that makes sense, because there is only one ring, and the bearer is Legacy.

So for multiple Bunkers, or Legacies or whatever to happen you would need time shiftiness.

If you have time shiftiness, which the most recent expansion was sort of all about, then any freedom 6 promos could easily repeat, Tachyon and TL Tachyon teaming up to save their friend from himself (or at least trying),

For others, Wraith going back in time to stop RC Wraith from making a terrible mistake, or to stop a villain from going back and killing her or something.  Eternal Haka somehow getting his younger self, and trying to fix some terrible wrong that would change history.

I know Pauline goes out with her dad and the team, but she wouldn't be leading them, and a good chunk of the deck reflects the leadership aspect of Legacy.  With timelines converging it would make sense to use that deck, since you could get each Legacy when they were Legacy.

I'd want a modified deck to reflect Pauline before she inherited the ring, one that was less leadership and less dominant, maybe more focused on damage or having a minor role on the team.

I just couldn't put the Legacy deck out there for Pauline while her dad was still in charge.

She needs to learn the "family business", how better than trying to emulate her dad while he's on site to correct her mistakes?

Three Legacy Decks and Unity with extra Champion Bots against Iron Legacy?

I did have a solo game with Iron Legacy, Legacy, and Champion Bot all there at the same time.  But with extra decks the Legacy-ness can be maximized.

The freedom six are those characters in a world where legacy has gone villain. My guess is golem unity is just unity that had to partially rebuild herself after a battle or Accident. A robot thinking it is her would not have her technomancy powers, nor human bones (given the incap side).

I knewI was right! If there's one character I know, in the whole game, it's Unity. Definately my favorite.
