Hi,

I was wondering if it's common amongst the players to read the flavor text outloud when you're playing. When it come to it, Sentinels is basically heavily-based on maths and I think it lights up the game a little when you read the flavor text. I think it reinforce the feeling of actually being the character and it always provides some funny moments.

When I play with my group of friends, we always read the flavor text outloud and it's fun to see how everyone thinks Legacy should talk or Tempest.

Currently, were even recording ourselves doing the flavor text on the cards so that when this card enters plays we can, for example, run the audio of Legacy saying: «For liberty...for freedom...for justice...for AMERICA». I usually play with the same groupe of 5 people and we developped some affinities with certain heroes. For example, I'm known to be the voice of Legacy and Omnitron-X, while my friend always read for Tempest.

If we're not the only one to do it, I was wondering if some of you might find interest in recording voices and sharing them inside the community. It would be so much fun to play audio recordings of someone I don't know doing the voice of The Scholar or Unity.

Let me know what you think about it!

I think reading the flavor text is great! Might get old the 20th time through ...

I did this when I first started playing the game. A lot. But yeah, arenson9 is right: It gets old after a while.

I read most of them out loud when I first got the game, and I still will for some of the funnier ones, or if I have new people around and the flavour text helps explain the card.

Depends on the card. I still refer to Grace Under Fire as the Lemon Cannon, and Know When To Hold Fast is just "strategizing." Then, of course, there's BUDDABUDDABUDDABUDDABUDDA, Mr. Chomps, PEW PEW LASERS, and THAT ROBOT JUST SHOT ITS ARM OFF!

If I am playing Fanatic, there is no reason I can think of to not yell 'Repent, Sinners! Die in the flames of your dark soul!' or any such quote as it pertains to whatever awesome thing she's doing at the time.
