Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the game, but I'm loving it. I just started playing a few weeks ago and realized there's a whole bunch of promo cards that I don't have... If anyone has the Redeemer Fanatic, Young Legacy, America's Greatest Legacy, Horus of Two Horizons, and/or Rook City Wraith I'd be willing to work out a trade, or the like, so that I can complete my set!
If you have any of these promos and would be willing to part with them reply here or send me a PM, whatever works best for you!

Some of these promos are out of print now, but you can print off your own copies of these cards from files provided on boardgamegeek.
Yeah I have all the promos printed glued and laminated. Obviously it is not the ideal solution as I would stab a man in the heart to have the real copies of those cards, but it is the next best thing.

There has been "consideration" / the idea has been kicked around by the publisher to make an expansion pack of all the promos AT THE END of all planned expansions. So my point being, you could get it at that time if you were willing to wait X years for a pack of them all. This of course assumes that the idea to do this is carried out.

Those are the four promo cards that I'm missing as well (due to not discovering Sentinels till after those had been and gone), so if they ever become available I expect I'll try and get 'em so I've got every card in the game. Hopefully the shipping on four little cards over the Atlantic won't be so bad ;).

Thank you to everyone who weighed in. Yeah, printing off a version seems like the best option until a possible reprint. Almost all were available through the kickstarter campaigns of old, so if you got in on the Rook City KS it seems like you could have gotten them all.

It was still possible for 100 quick (and lucky) backers to get all of them except for Young Legacy during the Shattered Timelines Kickstarter... and Young Legacy made an appearance at the last Jack Vasel Memorial Auction on BGG.
So while not very likely at all, it IS possible that some might pop up somewhere. Just gotta keep eyes open and hope alive.

I thought you guys might like these...

Each card is a front and back printed on card stock, so it's very sturdy and snaps like a real card. Obviously some of the backs have a clipping issue where a bit of white shows, but all in all they will do nicely until I get the real things.
Oh, and I used a bit of creative freedome with America's Greatest Legacy for his defeated side, using an image from the Iron Legacy deck and the rules text from Young Legacy's card.

That's quite impressive. They almost look like they could be the actual cards!
Greatest Legacy's card will be officially released in October, so you'll be able to get the actual back then. That's if you don't get the card.

I was almost a jerk. I almost posted pictures of all my actual promos, including the Young Legacy I got from the SotM premiere at GenCon 2011, before I knew I'd care as much as I do now.
But I wasn't a jerk. Almost. :-P

I'm really hoping this happens. I'd love to see like two mini expansions and all the promos in a box set. It'd be super awesome.
My one question would be if when Christopher mentioned this he meant all the sets planned up to then, or planned in total?
Because that could be a BIG diference.
Either way, >G has done an awesome job of bending over backwards to help fans and i'm sure we'll see the promos set eventually.

And the release of the all-promo cards set is not a rumor - it's a plan. They've made public statements to that fact as recently as a couple days ago. The new prints will have different art or otherwise be clearly different from the originals, so the original cards will still be promotional/special, but yeah, functionally identical.

I'm hoping for "otherwise". By all means mark them clearly as second-runs, but I want the original art. (Well, in most cases; Young Legacy's front side isn't great, but the reverse is too classic to change.)

Sorry to bump this, but, I was just looking up info about Promo cards and found this thread to be extremely helpful. With the announcement of the new Promo cards now, I figure this might be brought up again by people looking for old promo cards, so... I posted.
Anyways, I'm very excited by the prospect of a "promo pack" that'll be purchaseable. I only got SotM a few months ago as part of a Reddit Gifts Board Game Exchange. I've been hooked ever since, and yeah, I'd love to have them all. The print & play model looks good... maybe I'll stop by the office during the holiday break and do some manual art labor. :)
EDIT: I notice a lot of different P&P versions for the promo cards. Any chance of an "official" P&P version?

I also just got the game recently and have been similarly interested in picking up any of the promos that I can. Having looked at the options (and seen the prices on Ebay), I am just fine printing my own. One thing I was curious about though, will the WW II versions of Legacy and Bunker be available when Vengence comes out or did you have to back the Kickstarter to get those cards?

I have as much of the promos that are already in the public domain in an Artscow gallery. They often have discounts, at the moment a deck of printed cards is c.$9 shipped which is a cheap way of getting professionally made prints, and plenty of spare room to fill with print and play microgames. Some resizing/zooming will be required.
The only images available for the villains is from the large cards, not recommended to print on a standard playing card unless you have super vision

I am curious about these. Are these playing card sized cards or SotM sized cards? Are they printed front and back or do we have to glue them?
I absolutely hate the idea of paying another company to print something that belongs to >G, and would gladly pay a decent premium price to be able to get the Promos, but I didn't start playing until until November of this year.

As for Artscow, they are standard 2.5" by 3.5" playing cards custom printed front and back. They are not the exact same size as the Sentinels cards but are very close; as these are character cards we are talking about though, it is irrelevant. I can attest that the quality is good so long as the image resolution is high and you pay attention to the margin recommendations on the edge of the cards.
I had a few print and play games planned so, as I wanted actual cards rather than paste-ups, it was easy enough to fit the promos I didn't yet have into one of those jobs. Depending on what you need it might be worth the cost just for the promos rather than being gouged on eBay, or you can wait a couple of years for that promo pack

You should be able to save the gallery and open it under your account for editing, where you can zoom and center the cards as you see fit, or add addtional images to fill up the deck. I recommend googling for tutorials, and do a search on BoardGameGeek as there are plenty of lists and forum threads discussing Artscow. For example: http://boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/40596/arts-cow-card-sets-direct-links/page/1

There are also a lot of custom heroes, villains and environments on BGG that have been designed for Sentinels, many with cards designed, if you like them you can use those to fill up a batch with the promo cards.
>G has given their blessing on fan creations, we just can't post fan creations on this site or sell them for profit. I don't think they have any problem with paying to get them printed out on cards.

I should also note that www.printerstudio.com has a similar service to Artscow and is currently offering $10 off all orders until the end of the year. I've not used them before, but I came across them as they seem to be the only place doing full front and back custom jobs on mini cards and I wanted to get some smaller cards done for another game.

That's awesome. Could you by chance supply me with the front/backs of the most recent promos for the WWII era characters? I didn't realize they had backs, I've only been able to find fronts.
Side-Note: I have shrunk promo villains, and while the text is a little difficult to read, it's not impossible. Alternatively you could make a custom side-card that is just the rules they have written on the large card like they do for the rest of the villains.

I almost don't want a release date, all it can lead to is a) the counting of hours until the date, which probably isn't healthy and b) disappointment when the package does not everyone at 12:01 on the said date
Maybe this question has already been asked, but...
Is the goal to--by the end of the full SotM line--have at least one promo versionfor *each* of the characters?
I know that there's been talk of releasing the promos as a single pack--perhaps with an art marker or the like--after the full line's been put out, but does this mean that every character will end up with a promo?

My hope is that every character will end up with two promos, but that's probably a pipe dream since several don't even have one yet. My runner-up hope would be that there will be an additional promo each for Tachyon, Absolute Zero, and the Argent Adept (besides his upcoming PW version), so that the Freedom Five and the Prime Wardens will all have equal promo-y goodness....Dark Watch was first announced as a team, so I can live with not seeing a third version of each of those characters, and Ra and Visionary and the other loners can kinda suck it up. But if the Prime Wardens turned out to be the last promos ever, then we'd have three versions each of Legacy, Wraith, Bunker, Haka, Fanatic and Tempest, two versions each of Tacky, AZ, Ra, Visionary, Unity, the four Dark Watch heroes, and Argent Adept, and only the originals for CR, OX, Scholar and the four Vengeance heroes other than Setback. This would mean six over-blessed and seven under-represented heroes deviating from the ten-hero mean, and I'd be profoundly irritated by the asymmetry of it all.
I'm not sure I see the Scholar ever having a promo; him being the oddball he is, I think I can live with that. O-X also seems rather singular, but I strongly hope to see a version of CR where he's back in the Sherrif of Silver Gulch days, with both his arms, but has encountered his future self and knows what's going on. And I don't know how promo versions of the Sentinels might work; there might well just not be any. I'm hoping for at least KNYFE to get a promo, since she's complexity 1 and thus will probably get boring fairly fast, so she'll want for an alternative version at some point. Natch probably also has room for promos representing other sorts of animals or something, while for Parse I'm thinking it may not be too likely, but of course this is largely baseless speculation on my part.

I could see room for Parse and KNYFE having promos pretty easily. The Sentinels COULD, but I don't know how they could make them any better than they already are; but they've pulled surprising ones before, so you never know. I don't see room for The Naturalist at all. Just... I don't think you can do it.
I thought up a promo for Omnitron-X and Chrono-Ranger at one point. For Omnitron-X, it was "Specialized Plating." "Select a damage type not currently reduced by a plating card. Reduce all damage of that type dealt to Omnitron-X by 2 until the start of your next turn." Helps against people who like to throw around different types of damage (Ennead, Spite, Matriarch) and helps keep his components (not to mention himself) alive, at the cost of slowing down his setup.
Chrono-Ranger's promo would be him as the Sherrif of Silver Gulch. I couldn't decide between 2 options; one, a version of his normal power, but with 2 hands: "Dual-Wield: deal up to 2 targets 1 projectile damage each," but with a reduced HP of 26, or "Sherrif's Protection: Reduce damage dealt to hero targets by 1 until the start of your next turn." Helps mitigate some of the damage he tends to accumulate, at the cost of shooting now and then.

Also, my guesses for the Prime Wardens promos, based on prior patterns and revealed info.
Groups of promos tend to have common themes. The Freedom 6 were all about combatting Iron Legacy. The Dark Watch were all about sacrificing actions NOW to plan for better actions LATER. (yeah I know 2 isn't a pattern.)
Judging by Fanatic's Prime Warden promo (Fanatic deals 1 non-hero target 3 radiant damage. Fanatic deals herself 2 radiant damage.) it would SEEM that their schtick is skipping the double dare setup and going RIGHT FOR THE THROAT. That power is basically MADE to fuel Sacrosanct Martyr. So, the others seem like they would follow the same pattern. Here are my speculations:
Argent Adept: Duet: "Activate the accomany texts of up to 2 different rhythm or harmony cards."
Tempest: "Deal up to 3 targets 2 lighting damage each." (idk, just grasping at straws here.)
[Other guy]: yeah, I got nothing. I don't know anything ABOUT him.

My favorite idea for an Omni-X promo was on BGG, "Select 2 components, their start of turn actions occur at the end of this turn as well."
I really like it, he doesn't set up as fast, and he doesn't help others with cards, but as long as those components are out he does a ton of stuff.
There was also an AZ card that was a heck of a lot of fun to play, made him much faster, and lets him do solid damage without Thermal in play.
"You may play a card, AZ deals himself 1 fire and 1 cold damage."
Both really change how you play the hero, AZ's is a straight up boost to set up time, recovery and early game damage, and Omni is just a very different playstyle.
I've tried coming up with a Chrono alt, but his power is really weak yet he's a great damage dealer inspite of it. He doesn't need more card play or card draw or damage boosting or card recovery, wouldn't benefit much from healing or reduction.
Making an older chrono, less jump in and shoot and more patient or leaderly would be cool, but how to do it with that deck?
The best I came up with was: "Increase damage dealt to targets of Bounty cards by one until the start of your next turn."
It wouldn't benefit him as much, and his on-shots not at all, but everyone else would do better. I'm glad the >G guys are better at this than I am.

It's entirely possible that the version I saw changed dramatically (it was only written on scrap paper after all) but it was not doing damage and then doing damage. Your information might be more current (what with you being a playtester and all) but if you have not seen anything 'lately' then you are misremembering the power. searchs for thread where it was detailed to edit in here

Except Mr. Fixer, who's the opposite of that. (I'm assuming you know what you're talking about with Setback, and the two ladies fit of course.)
Argent Adept: Duet: "Activate the accomany texts of up to 2 different rhythm or harmony cards.
Interesting concept, but it would play rather horribly. Only twelve cards in his deck have Accompany texts, and several of these are not that great (on your first turn, it's far from guaranteed that healing 2 HP or dealing 1 sonic damage is going to accomplish much, and you'd very rarely want to "vocalize" the Accompany of Alacritous Subdominant, since there's no chaining involved and you'd be giving up your card for pretty much nothing). When he has no way to search for Songs other than Cadence, even losing the six Melody cards makes a pretty serious difference in usability. No way in heck would I play this power. Even making it possible to use the same one twice (not possible under your wording) would not make it worth it for me, though at least that way some players might consider it worth double-drawing for several turns to try and find a Preparation or Bulwark, so other players can play or draw two cards each turn.

There's an error in your artscow gallery, and it affects the following cards: America's Greatest Legacy;
Darkwatch Expatriette;
Darkwatch Nightmist;
GI Bunker;
Darkwatch Mister Fixer; and
Darkwatch Setback.
The error is that you put the back of the card on the little "back" thing instead of in the separate "back" entry for each card. I'm not sure what the little mini "back" is, but it left the actual backs of the card totally black.
If you look for the other entries, there's Front X, with the front art, then Back X with the back art. The "Back X" for the above characters is pure black, and prints as such.
