Has anyone tried this out before?  It struck me on my drive in to work this morning that if you matched two non-support heros togather, and just made the "villian" references on the hero cards apply to the opposing hero, you could have an x-man style beatdown!

I THINK enviroments might be able to work too now that I think about it.  This will require playtesting.

You could probably add support heroes and make it a team vs team thing. One of the best things in SotM is the synergy between heroes and with team vs team you can maintain that.

That could be a fun 6-player variant with 3 heroes against 3 heroes.

My friends have been asking for a PvP variant for months now, so if anyone can polish such a variant, I would be eternally grateful :)

I played though a game last night of Unity VS Mr. Fixer in the Final Wasteland.  It went REALLY quick, but it was satisfying.  It looks like it might be a great substitute for when you don't have a whole lot of time, but still want something to wrap something up.

The enviroment deck usually adds a sort of timer to the game. It gives the players an incentive to not want to NOT be the hero with the lowest health. The only real modification the game needs is mentaly replacing the world "villian" on all the hero cards with "opponent."

One on One it's a very quick game (which is what I tested) and seems far more dominated by the luck of the draw.  Two VS Two would be intruging.  One VS One VS One would be rather interesting too.
