Hello all,
I often tried beating the Chairman on advanced mode with only 3 players. My record was leaving him at 6 life and us dying...but yesterday I mercilessly destroyed him. Our team was: Visionary, Wrath and Haka (I was Haka).
I draw my hand and say "Oh, boy! we won!" I had 2 Ground Pond, 1 Savage Mana and something else. So it goes as follows:
1st round: We ignore villains and start our setup. (Visionary puts a decoy, Wrath the Ordinance and I the Savage Mana). Visionary makes me draw more cards through her power
2nd round: We now have 3 underbosses in play: the one that plays more cards, the policeman and the melee one. We take 2-3 damage in total and now it is our turn. Visionary makes me draw, Wrath puts a Stun Bolt, and I put a ground pond (discard 2 cards, non-hero cards cannot do damage). Ugly things in the environment but they don't damage us
3rd round: Thanks to the Ground Pond we take no damage on the villain turn. In the end, the only thief destroys the Ground Pond (who cares? it was gonna be destroyed as well). Visionary gives me more cards, Wrath lowers all Underbosses below 5HP, and I play a second Ground Pond (and Kill the first thief, putting under my Savage Mana).
4th round: Everything from the chairman is on the table. But since it is ground ponded it cannot do anything. Wrath uses the stun bolt on the Operative, and in my turn I play the 5 damage to all/2 damage to heroes card. Result: ALL of the Chairman's underbosses and thugs are in my savage mana (no feedback damage from the Operative since she was stunbolted).
We cheer for victory!! Then we realize that the Chairman cannot flip (no underbosses in the trash). So we wait a couple rounds, mostly visionary and haka passing to get cards, Wrath playing more and more gadgets. Once the 2 prison breaks have been played, I kill the operative with the Savage Mana, flipping the operative in the process.
8-9th round (lost count): Operative flips, he heals himself (we laugh, we was full HP anyway), and the combo of Wrath's Inventory Barrage + My Haka of Battle kill him in one round.
In the end we were in our 20s HP, and most of the damage had been done by the environment. Boy, that was EASY!
