How did Expatriate loose her eye?

My daughter (7) is playing Expatriate for the first time and she wanted to know how she lost her eye. I looked around the site but didn't see as answer so I thought I would ask the experts here. Thanks!

I don't believe there's been an official answer as to that, but she grew up as a normal person among a bunch of metahumans. I wouldn't be too surprised if she lost her eye as part of the growing schism between her and the Citizens of the Sun. She probably has quite a few scars.

The reason behind Expatriette's missing eye is during a very big battle between Expatriette and Citizen Dawn. Though the details of that battle haven't been explained. It is something I am looking foward to actually seeing as it may possibly be one of the best fights that occur in the story. Or so I hope.

Pretty much.  Details are scarce, but I dunno if you want to tell your seven year-old that Expat's mom is the reason why she's missing an eye.  You know your kid better than we do, but if you're wary of sharing the mommy issues I'd go with the answer "From fighting crime."

I am not too worried about the mommy issues since her real mom is sitting across from her playing The Visionary most games. In fact the reason that she is playing Expatriate is that we are fighting Citizen Dawn... (Who is currently kicking our butts by the way) Anyway, thanks for the answers.
