State of GTG - November 2017

Not a lot has changed on the production front this month, though we've gotten a lot more information on the shipping process for OblivAeon stuff (Christopher will post a bit more about that on the KS today). The one exception is the RPG Starter Kit, which is already on its way! There are a lot of production and logistical advantages to making products that are just books. Here is a quick summary of things we accomplished in the past month:

1. Sentinel Comics: The Role Playing Game Starter Kit finished printing!
2. We had a giant meeting about the layout of the SC:RPG Core Rule Book!
3. We began work on organizing and inventorying all of our convention supplies in the warehouse!
4. We launched the Legends of Sleepy Hollow Kickstarter!
5. Mara, Jenn, and I attended Essen Spiel in Germany!
6. We reached an agreement with the German publisher Pegasus to publish Spirit Island in German!
7. We finished planning for PAX Unplugged and printed a bunch of materials!

Are Stuntman, Benchmark, and Void Guard shipping before the rest of OblivAeon, or in the prepacked shipments Christopher mentioned?

Prepackaged with everything else based on the prior KS updates. 

Woot getting the Starter Kit way sooner than I expected.

I'm going to try and run some of it at the college, the problem is going to be getting more than 3 slots to run it in, but so much information on the workings of the game to be discovered and pored over. I'm so excited!

Stuntman, Benchmark, and Voidguard are all done being printed, but they are waiting to be pre-packed with the other stuff. Those were completed first, so we had the factory go ahead and print them to save time / clear out the pipeline for the next couple waves of stuff.

So they will ship with OblivAeon?

That seems to be the intent.

Correct! They will all ship to backers together. (Along with OblivAeon, the Complete Variant Collection, the Final Variant/Promo Pack, the Foil Oversized Villain Cards, and the Absurdly Large Box).

Is there any news on a digital version of the rpg Starter Kit?

There will be one, and hopefully it will be released at or around the same time as the physical version.

Well, it's only $20-ish, I can always buy a digital duplicate anyway.

I believe we are going to be able to set it up so that anyone purchasing the physical version can get a free PDF. Stay tuned! :)

That would be a nice bonus

That is awesome!!! As a GM, having the PDF is so much easier to work with. Pathfinder made me really happy with that, but I always bought the physical books also to support them. Now with 5th Ed D&D, I don't have that, and it's really frustrating. 

That's an unexpected surprise. :)

Usually I prefer digital versions of media because I live in a small apartment where physical things often have to be tucked in out of the way places, but I thought the starter kit would be print-only so I jumped for it anyway.

A bits and mortar promise would be an excellent move!

@much0gust0: Great, now you're making me imagine a dating sim with the Sentinel Comics dudes in general, and the mental image is hilarious on so many levels.

I wonder if GtG is making the dating sim in partnership with Princess Cool.

You know, this was obviously said in jest, but it got me thinking again about AZ's life before being part of the team. And now, all these years later, he's still kind of the loner of the team. I both want him to find someone to share his life with again, but also, we know he's going to live for a long long long time, so even if he does find someone the odds are they will die of old age and he will have to carry on.

I wonder if AZ and Haka ever had time to talk about that, or if AZ even realizes he is functionally ageless…
