One of Craig's post yesterday gave me an idea so here it goes.

BREAKING NEWS: Calling all Sentinels. Calling all Sentinels. La Captain is up to her old tricks again. She and her crew have just kidnapped Christopher and sailed off with him. She is currently using her ship to teleport between different environments. We only have a few short days to go to all the enviornments, defeat her, and bring back Christopher (sidenote: especially if Craig can give us an idea whien the geek migration will be over to have an end date to this challenge). If we fail it will mean the end of the Multiverse as we know it.

Your mission. Defeat La Captain in different enviroments as a community. When you defeat her somewhere come here and post which team and what enviorment (no fan made) you use and this announcement will keep track (we will use the honor system). When we defeat her in all she will no longer be able to hold Christopher hostage and will let him go and the Multiverse will continue in all its awesomeness. Defeat her multiple times in the same place to send her a message, that we love Christopther and want to bring him back. Plus with his rescue maybe Christopher will announce something special for preorders that he wasnt planning on before.......... (this is me just hoping)

Go to it Sentinels!!!!!!

A team consisting of Legacy, Parse, Omnitron-X and the Visionary valiantly defeated La Capitan in the Realm of Discord. :)

Things were a bit shaky at first, with La Capitan quickly and easily undoing all the heroes' preparations.  Once they got back on their feet, though, they focused on damaging her ship and stopping certain crew members from appearing.  The foresight of Visionary and the analytical powers of Parse helped a great deal with this.  A positive energy field appeared immediately after the last of a group of crew members had been dispatched, meaning that only the heroes benefitted from it.  When a negative energy field replaced it, Legacy heroically prevented it from damaging anyone but La Capitan.  The heroes exploited the effects of the field, moving and acting as much as possible in order to increase its effects on the time-travelling pirate captain.  Before long, a rocket punch from Omnitron-X had sent her hurling back into the mists of time, but not before Christopher was saved from being forced to walk the plank.  :)

A very fun game.  Although two hero ongoing/equipment cards were destroyed by villains at the start of the second round, no other destruction of this kind happened, so she never flipped.  Six rounds, no incaps.  Lowest health a hero ever hit was 16hp (Legacy).

Guise pulled Captain Cosmic, The Sentinels, and Sky-scraper in for some old west action in Silver Glutch.  Secretly Guise already knew La Capitan would be waiting and trying to steal all of his cool stuff he had in the past.   Once they got past her crew and disabling the ship the team was battered but managed to bring down La Capitan.

Always wondered about that.  As a fellow Christopher, I find it way to long to say or write so I go by Chris. Even though I don't really care for it either.  Anyway, sorry about the tangent.  Please continue.  Really like the idea.

Chrono-Ranger got word of the bounty on La Capitain and tracked her to The Block.  He gathered legacy and wraith to join him in collecting on the bounty. When he got there they found guise waiting for them (as he is wont to do).  They easily disposed of La Capitan but Christopher was nowhere to be found.

As Chrono Ranger materialized in the streets of Rook City, he was surprised to see that Visionary was waiting for him - and had gained the help of Ra and Expatriette !

"You are hunting the pirate. She kidnapped a man I am indebted to - I'll help. Oh, and you're late."

so : Expatriette, Ra, Visionary, Chrono-Ranger, in Rook City.

Chrono Ranger fell fast under the constant assaults of Battle Forged, and the team walked the plank many times, but they finally reached victory ina last minute "All Hell Loose" attack - thanks to the moral support of Jim and lot of luck (they would have lost on next turn).

I want to help!

Woof. This was hard. Pike Industrial, La Capitan, Chrono Ranger, Parse, Sentinels. We won! But, everyone died at least once, and we stood victorious with just Maintstay and Idealist active, 1 HP each. Both Chrono and Parse were taken out by double Cold Vats with their damage changed to Toxic and increased by 1. The Sentinels managed to avoid this (for two turns) thanks to Mainstay's damage reduction power and Human Shield.

Also, I just noticed that Human Shield can be used for damage dealt to ALL Hero targets, not just the Sentinels. That...that would have made this much easier. Damn.

Anyway, the Cold Vats ate away a great amount of La Capitan while Chrono allowed Mainstay and Friend(s) to play a card to pile on more damage and Parse (put the Magnifica on the bottom of La Capitan's deck and then did nothing, golly gee) drew them a card and Mainstay proper kept on protecting! It was great?

To make a long story short (too late), when she finally toppled over, Siege Breaker dropped off a sign reading, 'Your designer is in another castle.'

Scratch another one off the list, friends!

Captain Cosmic, The Naturalist, Setback, Guise, and Nightmist grabbed their scuba gear to battle La Capitan in the underwater Ruins of Atlantis. Setback's luck rubbed off on Nightmist when Atlantis caused her to play Oblivion and reveal two 4 rune cards, forcing her to destroy all of CC's cool constructs.

Guise won the whole thing by punching La Capitan with the Best Card Ever, if that wins me any extra points.

La Capitan beaten by Chrono-Ranger, Guise, Expatriette, and KNYFE in the Time Cataclysm.

2 new players, 1 player who had never tried Guise before, and lots and lots of crew members.

Luckily, when she flipped with 6 cards beneath her, both Chrono and KNYFE had lots of multi-hit cards and powers.

She couldn't hide for long. Expat finished her off with a 3 gun salute (unload).

BREAKING NEWS:

Attention all Sentinels. Attention all Sentinels. This Just in. We just recieved a video message from La Captain herself. Lets watch.

(video pops up with La Captain on her ship with Christopher tied up to the mast and gagged and La Captain starts to speak):

Hahahaha It is I, Maria Helena Teresa Servanda Jimena Paterna Domenga Gelvira Placia Sendina Belita Eufemia Columba Gontina Aldonza Mafalda Cristina Tegrida De Falcon. Look at what I have Sentinels. Its your dear precious Christopher. You may have defeated me in a few locations but there are still many places for me to hide. So if you want your dear precious Christopher come get him. You will just have to come through me and my crew. (La Captain gives an evil grin). Good luck because you will never defeat me. ( Evil Laugh).

--Transmission end

Oh no Sentinels It looks like La Captain is getting a little cocky after holding Christopher for 24 hours and us still not rescueing him. We need to hurry or it may spell the end of the Multiverse forever!!!!!! We are half way there.

(p.s. It would be awesome if we could convince Adam to draw the scene I described in the video. I think it would be awesome picture)

As this is my second entry, feel free to ignore it :)

The Sentinels, Parse, Wraith & Omnitron-X, in the Tomb of Anubis : victory.

Expatriette and co having not found Christopher in Rook CIty (see above), she asked for the Wraith's help in uncovering clues on the pirate's whereabouts.

Maïa called for the help of Parse, Omnitron-X and the Sentinels, old ennemies of the pirate. Thanks to Parse analysis of the few clues found before, the team understood that the pirate was trying to use Christopher to bargain with Anubis, and gain lots of loot ! To Egypt ehy go, aboard one of Maïa private jets.

It was a hard fight. Lots of traps and of crew members fell on our heroes. In a few turns, both Parse and the Wraith were incapacitated, and Dr Medico & his pupil the Idealist were next ! All seemed lost.

But then la Capitan called for the Epeiste - it was a mistake, as Wrythe used his invention to redirect his heavy damage to la Capitan. With the help of Wraith's gadgets (her incapacitated side), the Sentinels slowly came back to force, bringing back the Idealist and Medico, while Omnitron-X managed to bring a lot of his tools out. Also, Anubis finally came to the heroes' help.

Finally - and it was a surprise - the surviving members of the team, with the help of lots of traps and mummies, and a little luck, forced the time travelling corsair to flee. Alas, she took Christopher with her.

Will Anubis give them the clues they need to finally free the Christopher at the Center ??? The answer in our next issue ! (maybe ?)

Well, America's Greatest Legacy heard reports in his time zone of a sighting of a massive ship that "appeared out of nowhere" inside the Enclave of the Endlings.  AG Legacy contacted some heroes from the future for back up to try and locate our beloved Christopher.  Sky-Scraper, Tempest, and Parse, back from fighting a nasty fight in Warfang's Arena, answered the call.

With Sky-Scraper switching to her Huge form early and AG Legacy inspiring everyone with his presence, the heroes had no trouble dealing with La Capitan's crew.  During the last few turns of the fight, AG Legacy could have sworn he saw a man that looked like Christopher.  However, the environment kept getting in the way!  First, the Enclave releases Immutus, which seemed to protect La Capitan for a few turns--fortunately Sky-Scraper was ready to blow Immutus up with her Emergency Evac.

Again, AG Legacy was ready to finish La Capitan off (he was pretty sure she could have only had a little bit of health left...) and charge, motivationally of course, towards the man who looked like Christopher.  However, the environment retaliated with Bloogo, who promptly took the side of La Capitan.  Foiled again!!

However, despite AG Legacy's disappointment at not being able to finish off La Capitan himself this particular turn, Sky-Scraper emergency evac'd again to destroy Bloogo.  Legacy was excited!  The field was open for him to strike down the time traveling pirate wench and save Christopher!

Then Tempest's turn happened--and his electrical storm finished off La Capitan.  It was a sad day in the life of AG Legacy.

Alas, Christopher was not found in the Enclave of the Endlings.  At least, I don't think it was Christopher.  If it was, Tempest sort of...crisped him with lightning.

Freedom Tower: Prime Warden Fanatic, Golem Unity, and Dark Watch Mr. Fixer

Game went just about the same as last time, taking a bit more damage this go around.  PW Fanatic used Resolute to play extra cards and give Unity/Fixer extra power uses, making sure to Bitter Strike any of Fanatic's unwanted ongoings (Unity dislikes End of Days for some reason).

Golem Unity eventually got the majority of her bots out, and dealt most of the damage this game.  Played risky with her, taking her down to 5 hp just to get out as many bots as possible in order to nuke La Capitan.

DW Fixer got a good amount of Bloody Knuckles meaning bitter strike did some decent damage when he got them out.  He was highest HP hero throughout the game, so she kept hitting him for 2 damage, which he kept redirecting back to her with Driving Mantis style.  He also dealt the final blow with a Tire Iron, taking her down to 2hp.

The environment never really affected the game in a big way, unfortunately.

Chrono Ranger after suffering from a mental lapse after coming to the past confused Guise with Legacy and asked for his help at the Dok'Thorath Capital.   Tachyon who stumbled upon the scene grabbed the real Legacy and they were off.  La Capitan didn't know what hit her as Guise copied Legacy and CR unloaded off on her with his bow.    Guise finished her off with his fire extinguisher and asked her to say What Again?

The happy Abject Refugees unfortunately never heard of or had seen a Christopher.

It was a slow day in the Freedom Tower. Megalopolis was quiet, its citizens seemingly safe (for now). But then, a call on the vid-monitor! Tachyon, who was manning the communications station while simultaneously running thirteen experiments, was shocked to see that the call originated from Baron Blade! What dastardly scheme was he hatching now?

"Ah, Tachyon." The baron looked like he hadn't slept in several days. "I realize that I'm not on the best of terms with the Freedom Five, but... I need someone to get this cursed woman off my mobile defense platform!" The camera panned to show Maria Helena sitting in the baron's throne control chair, her boots up on the console. She waved jauntily.

Dr. Stinson didn't want to do Blade any favors, but the possibility that Christopher was aboard the platfrom couldn't be ignored. She grabbed her intern, Unity, and Anthony Drake, who was helping Devra design a prototype Bard Bot, and made tracks for the baron's floating fortress. Along the way, the team encountered the Sentinels, who had heard that La Capitan was in the area.

Sneaking into the shielding station of the platform the heroes were set upon by wave after wave of Maria Helena's time-travelling crew. However, Tachyon and Mainstay held the line, giving the Argent Adept and Unity time to construct a veritable army of mechanical golems. With her crew defeated, La Capitan was cornered by a wave of Platform Bots and Raptor Bots swarming over her. Sadly, there was no sign of Christopher aboard the platform.

Baron Blade was grateful for the assist, and generously "allowed" the heroes to depart in peace. Back at Freedom Tower, however, Unity revealed that she had "accidentally" left several Raptor Bots aboard the platform, where they terrorized Blade's crew.

Team Leader Tachyon, Unity, the Argent Adept, and the Sentinels have defeated La Capitan aboard the Mobile Defense Platform!

Just realized no one's played a game with Absolute Zero yet. I think I'll have to correct this and play a game with him.

Megalopolis: Elemental Wrath Absolute Zero, Horus Ra, PW Haka, PW Tempest, and DW Setback  Defeated La Capitan on Advanced!

This team demolished La Capitan with brute force, getting around her ongoing/equipment destruction by throwing out more hero ongoings than she could possibly handle.  AZ and Tempest's start of turn damage dealers, and everyone's damage dealing one-shots and powers were able to burn through her captured cards keeping her from ever staying flipped for long.

(edit: fixed typo, said she never flipped when I meant she never 'stayed' flipped as I was able to burn through all the captured cards in one go when she 'did' flip)

Clearly, straight-forward battles were getting us no where.  Thus, The Wraith set out to rescue Christopher from the Mars Base through stealthy means.  Her friend Legacy, however, didn't get the memo and thought it was time to fight.  His arrival ruined The Wraith's plans and gave La Capitan time to begin setting sail through the Sea of Time.  When the time portal opened however, a blue robot flew out and stopped the ship in its' tracks.  With Legacy smashing, Wraith throwing knives, and a time traveling exploding plate from Omnitron, they made quick work of La Paradoja Magnifica and the first wave of crew members.  With reinforcements only slowly trickling in, and Maria Helena Teresa Fafila Servanda Jimena Mansuara Paterna Domenga Gelvira Placia Sendina Belita Eufemia Columba Gontina Aldonza Mafalda Cristina Tegrida de Falcon was defeated faster than you could say her name and bringing an end to her time traveling shenanigans.

Hey, if that means we get to start playtesting soon, then fine by me.
I mean, I would rather do Brown City first, seeing as Wrath just came out and I really want to see Setback and the like (and hero Matriarch!) But either way I’d give with me; just, the sooner, the better!

So...does that mean we should defeat Christopher now? Make a little Christopher bot ala Unity? I mean, we defeated a villain to just unleash a greater threat upon us all! La Capitan was just a red herring! Egads, men! We now know the mastermind behind it all!

It's probably Ronway. Damn it, Ronway! (There. I jumped on a bandwagon!)
