Private message email notifications not working?

I happened to click on my messages and saw there were some I hadn't read since January 10. I never got an email notification for them, so I didn't know about them. Anyone else having this problem too?

I've never had an email for PMs

I've gotten an email for every PM I've gotten.  My last one was Jan 10.

They're working for me, as of earlier today.

I sent you something, get an email? Did you check off "no emails" by accident?

No email. I just sent Spiff a PM to see if he gets an email.

Never changed any settings, and the checkbox is still checked.

Not in spam. I tried turning it off and on again.. we'll see. Seems like I am a special snowflake!

Do you possibly have too many pms in your box?

Is that a thing? I have none unread, and new ones appear there just fine; just no email notification.

No idea but it might be the cause!

I kinda wish we got some kind of notification on the site when we get a PM. 

I think we should all send as many PMs as possible to MigrantP just to stress check his PM inbox

There is a PM notification if you click on your account but it would be nice if it also appeared on the home screen.

I also think it would be nice if the forum gave some notification when you get a new PM - on other sites I get a small pop-up window appearing whenever I enter the forum homepage and have a PM waiting for me. On here, I have to remember go into "My Account" and then "Messages" any time I want to check, so sometimes it's been a week or more before I've noticed someone has sent me a PM :(.
