Little things that Christopher chooses to share

So I was in the "Learn how to play Sentinels of the Multiverse" Twitch thing earlier (it was fun), and of course I was listening out for any interesting little nuggets of info that I could glean from our favourite Christopher. Admittedly I may have missed some things because I was both chatting and watching an interesting Omnitron game as well as listening to the strategy discussion that was going on, but here is something I can remember.

After telling us that Haka is one of the most intelligent heroes, I expressed disbelief that he could be more intelligent than Tachyon. Christopher said that sure, Tachyon's more intelligent, but Haka's more wise (to use D&D terminology). Then,"The Scholar and Haka are similarly wise, but The Scholar has a few notable lapses in judgement in his past."

I'm guessing that the Scholar's lapse in judgment was creating Progeny. It's right there in Progeny's name. 

Scholar forgot to use sunscreen once when he was sleeping on his boat deck. The sunburn he got was nasty. He has never forgotten.

I tuned in at the very end of the stream, didn't know it was going on. I did hear the part where someone remarks that someone plays Absolute Zero very well, can't wait to see how well that is!

The Visionary is really good at playing Absolute Zero. Something about ice water in her veins.

I am completely awesome at killing Absolute Zero. Does that count?

The entire interview should be Ryan complaining about that one time Vis put TtE on Legacy so he could deal non-melee damage.  Because when that happens the Universe cries.

Watching it now, I love how they talk about different playstyles.

When Ra played Blazing Tornado over Solar Flare I died inside.  deal 3 fire, draw 2 cards, take 4 damage, next turn staff or Inferno, with healing in hand and on top of Omni. . . gah.  Edit:  and then they played inferno.  sigh.

At least Fanatic was insanely well set up round 2.  I wasn't even going to watch the whole thing, but I cannot resist Fanatic.

Maybe we'll bring on some forum guest stars one of these times!

Unless it was just Christopher saying how smart Haka is, for most of us we already knew that, did I miss anything else?

He mentioned that there will be a new game coming suitable for kids in the next year or two. Or something like that =)

That's the one! Specifically after Jeremy said only one of his 3 kids can read.

Well, I can confirm that Sentinels goes down very well with my kids at 6 & 7 as it is, but I would certainly welcome something even more family friendly from >G

I have to explain what many of their cards do but as it's a Co-Op that's just fine. They have a wonderful play style of choosing cards and powers purely on the basis of what they think will be fun, so there's none of the over-arching strategy that I'm used to when playing with adults, but it's still a blast. I haven't given them any of the more complex heroes and I usually play a support role character. My son usually plays Ra although he has tried Tachyon and The Naturalist, and my daughter really only likes to play Unity (she lost interest halfway through a game with Tempest, although we were admittedly facing a brutal loss at the time as well)

So is anyone else imagining Li'l Sentinels?

Oh no! Bully Voss and some of the bigger kids are being noisy in the next room and teacher Haka has fallen asleep! It's up to the Li'l Sentinels to quieten them down or the babies will never have their nap time and the mummies and daddies will be very cross!
