As per arenson9's suggestion, it's a thread for the PAX volunteers!  I'd like to know who else is going to be working the booth so we can, y'know, know each other and stuff. :D

Current plan: I'll be there, full time, doing nothing but GTG stuff. Looking forward to it!

I'll be there, but I'm an Enforcer first and foremost.  The GtG people are always tolerant of me hanging out at the tables when my shift ends.

If someone wants to cover travel and housing for me and my boyfriend, I'll be there!

Where "tolerant" = "encouraging".

Sorry, man. I was pushing it getting myself to be able to go…

yeah!  having Braithwhite around. (Not that I'm "GtG people", mind you - just as a sidekick. )

Oh jeez, are you the Enforcer that I played Sentinels with at the Sheraton, post-con in 2012?  Or was that a different [E]?

maaaybe?  I don't recall playing at the Sheraton, but I played a LOT of sentinels that year!

Might not have been you, then.  There was one of the Enforcers who had apparently been given an EE by the >G guys and was playing it on one table, with my own EE being played on the next table over by a different group of people.

I'm planning on attending PAX, but I'll be with a buddy and won't be able to do more than stop by and say hi at the GtG booth.

Please do, Spiff! It'll be great to meet you.

We are planning on working the booth.

If you guys want to get to know us, Quinten and I (Aaron) recently started a podcast over at http://boardsalivepodcast.wordpress.com/

This will be our first Con, which we are super stoked on and also excited that we get to work with GTG and run SotM.

It is, by far, my favourite game and has seen the table more than any other game in my collection.

Uh oh. First time, eh? Well, word to the wise, bring a piece of cheese and a roll of toilet paper. You'll understand when you get there.

Hey, haven't been talkative for a while, but just wanted to say I'm going to PAX (first con since I started playing sentinels) and I'm planning on stopping by  and saying hi to everyone!

OK, we're in the final stretch (especially since GenCon is over now)...  So let's do this thing!  Anything the first-time booth monkeys need to know, going into the con?  Or is that going to be covered at the meet-and-greet on thursday night?

I've said it before, but be sure to bring a roll of toilet paper. You'll understand why later.

That's what I meant. It's super important to have a roll of toilet paper, and preferably a block of Parmesan (not necessary, but recommended), when working the >G booth. Just for the first day, though. You won't need it after that.

When it's me, they just need Sharpies. :sunglasses:

Hey, I was giving the easy list. When I was handling GenCon this year, that Parmesan was required.

And thank you, Spiff. There may be a tiny raccoon inside of me somewhere, cursing to be let out in several languages.

Have some kind of hand sanitiser nearby, and use it often.

Make sure you drink a lot of water, and don't forget to eat.

Get used to playing the same setup over and over, so find ways to ham it up and keep it fun! You don't want to be boring people who've never played just because this is the 50th time you've played this setup today.

Yeah, definitely be ready to be in a support role. In running a demo, our job is to help the players have a good time. We shouldn't be doing that by stealing the Big-Bad kill or otherwise taking their joy. :sunglasses:  That really makes Legacy the perfect choice.

I kept having people that wanted to play Legacy. at PAX East.

I played Visionary a few times, but mostly I just ran the game while 5 people played.

I am fairly certain you have to play with the Prime Wardens promos at PAX Prime.

Against Akash'Bhuta. And those demos better not last longer than 20 minutes.

heh... playing legacy in demos. Having Thokk in your hand and a flying smash and -never playing them-. Playing give you powers! give you damage! Take your damage! SUPPORT

its still fun to see new people get the sudden combos of players, or when a new player with Expat has 3 or 4 guns out and draws Unload, and their eyes go WIDE.

So while exchanging emails with Paul about the schedule I mentioned that we only had badges for 3 days and not 4. Thinking that we could only volunteer those 3 days he says that the exhibitor badges allow us entry as well. What?! So we’ll be volunteering all 4 days, but does that mean we didn’t need to f5 our way to PAX? It was quite agonizing…

Sell your 3 day badges! There are multitudes out there who want them.

So what you do is you go to the line to get in on day one, find an enforcer to guarantee your badges are legit, then hold them up and yell, “badges for sale!”

I guarantee there’ll be people willing to buy. Just don’t try to charge more than face value or the enforcers will get on you about it.
