Ooh, I miscalculated on the damage. Sorry, folks, I didn't save the rest of you. I'd like to instead redirect the damage to the Informant, and use Sucker Punch to finish off the Hired Gun.

GR

If you kill the Informant with the redirect, Sucker Punch won't do anything against the Hired Gun because he'll be at 3 HP.

However, since there's no way to get rid of the Hired Gun before he damages all of us, I wouldn't waste any cards lowering his HP (unless you want to get more burst into your trash); Rampage will take him out.

Might as well redirect to Operative or contract, then get the informant with sucker punch.  Everything 5 or less is dead anyway.

The Hired Gun's damage wouldn't do anything to the Operative or Contract, because of the Crooked Cops out. I'll play the Sucker Punch for no effect just to get it in my trash. EDIT: Actually, I'll just save my Syntactic Interruption for sometime more pressing.

Yup, I figured putting the Informant on top didn't make sense unless you were planning on that. Another option might have been to put the Cop on top, since it was coming out anyway.

I'm not sure. Does this interact with the recent ruling on more flexible resolution of effects? If it does trigger the Informant, then I will use the redirection from Synaptic Interruption to kill her.

(For the other question, Tachyon is almost certainly not the best target for Gung Ho…)

HP at the start of round 2 (after The Chairman's turn): Tachyon - 27, Legacy - 27, Haka - 26, Nightmist - 24, Visionary - 24

Nightmist regains a hit point, deals herself 3 damage, is now at 22.

Haka goes on a Rampage; Tachyon, Legacy and Haka each take 4 damage from the Operative, and all heroes take 3 damage from Haka (though Haka and Legacy have DR). Tachyon - 20, Legacy - 22, Haka - 21, Nightmist - 19, Visionary - 21.

Nightmist deals herself 4 damage [EDIT: after regaining 3hp], and on her turn the Operative deals Legacy net 2 damage, leaving the pair on 18 and 20.

Targetting Innocents happens - Tachyon - 16, Legacy - 17, Haka - 18, Nightmist - 14, Visionary - 17. I'm going with these.

I could Oblivion, if that's amenable to everyone.  I'd much prefer to get out my Amulet of the Elder Gods, but that's a selfish decision, especially when I can deal a ton of damage...

I'll discard Blinding Speed for Impending Casualty, if I may.

The Crooked Cops are still protecting the Bosses, aren't they? Would a Hypersonic Assault really help? I would think my card play has to be a Sonic Vortex, so that we only get one extra card play. I'm up to 7 Burst Cards, so I can hit almost everyone.

The Broker also needs to die, but that will happen with very high probability; I can make that certain with one point of damage.

This is all dependent on what card gets played, of course. A Prison Break would be ideal.

The lack of Power use interferes oddly little with our plan. All the minor targets will be cleared by the Oblivion with the possible exception of The Muscle. A Ground Pound prevents us taking damage from the environment as well, right? Then the out of turn play of Impending Casualty will not hurt so much. On the environment turn, we each need to discard 1 card for the Paparazzi, and I will discard an extra for the Casualty.

How are we doing for the villain deck? We're now at the stage that a Prison Break would be really very painful.

With Tachyon and Nightmist's help, I could manage a Ground Pound + Rampage. But I don't think that would be enough to pull this one off. Happy to concede if you guys want to end this one.

Huh, that's worth a shot. Haka, I take it you want a card back from your trash?

My incap abilities:

  • Play a card
  • Draw a card
  • Card from trash to hand.

Hmm, Legacy could follow it up with a Take Down next round, if you all survive. With the Ground Pound out, he wouldn't take the 2 energy damage.

Yeah. The idea was card from trash to hand. I play ground pound on my turn. Then Nightmist lets me play Rampage. I think we'll still get KO'd pretty quickly, before we can put the hurt on either Chairman or Operative.

Wait, no: the Rampage would kill you both. A Motivational Charge might help, with the damage reduction you have out.

(Sorry to keep talking to myself!)

Legacy, can I suggest that (a) you use Gung-Ho on yourself before the Motivational Charge, for an extra 1HP and (b) you hit The Muscle or The Deputy instead? If Haka does indeed do a Ground Pound on his turn and a Rampage on Nightmist's, that will kill all villains with 6 or less HP. The Contract would be left with 1HP, and Visionary could then finish him off (with her incap power: "destroy a target with 1HP")
