Gen-Con

Any one know if Greater than Games will be at Gen-Con again this year? If so I would love to be apart of it again!

Damn... I didn't realize The conventions sold out that fast. I am planning a trip to Boston in April and took a look at Pax East... way too late apparently...

WOW That was quick for response! Thank you all! :) If we get to go and help out on the last day I plan on bringing my little boy to visit and all dressed up in something!

You bet we'll be there. And in costume again, too. Right, Imprimis? We're going to party before the convention. That's going to happen.

I believe the PAX conventions are the only ones that sell out - GenCon, Origins, et al don't have that issue.

As to any official aspects of how they will select volunteers, etc., we'll have to let >G communicate their plans.

We will definitely be at Gen Con this year! We will have a slightly larger booth than last year (unless some space magically frees up, and we can get a much larger booth than last year).

We will also be at PAX East this year! If you are attending, come check us out! We'll have a 20x30 booth in the main expo hall (unlike last year, when we were in Tabletop).

@jagarciao - PAX badges sell out in approximately 6 hours. However, if you would still like to attend this year, I know a guy who can get you a badge! That guy is me, and all I ask in return is that you spend half of the expo hall hours (about 12 hours all told over the 3 day show) running demo games for us in our booth. If you (or anyone else!) are interested, let me know!

Guess I should start planning an Indy trip for August... Especially since Vengeance release party in St. Louis keeps looking less and less likely (or at least my attendance to it if it does happen)...

It is actually quite likely. We are waiting final delivery confirmation from the shipper before making a formal announcement.

Sweet!! I didn't mean to imply it wasn't gonna happen because of something on your end, more like my window to set up that trip is closing quickly so I may not be able to attend. But if I can I definitely will.

Depending on what you want there are quite a few options, nothing as big as PAX, but if you are not as into seeing the latest video games there are a lot of them out there.

I'll be costumed as whatever the official Sidekick gear of 2014 is. Mainly because I can't be arsed to put anything together. But partying before? Sure! I'll party as much as a guy in his early 30s who has to be up early the next morning can.

As a completely unrelated side note, my phone just autocorrected "can" to "Catan." It must be trawling BGG.

Stupid ocean, getting between me and fun conventions. 

I almost brought up a certain RPG designer/publisher. But then I realised a) I actually like the guy so it wouldn't be good sportsmanship and b) no one would get my reference most likely.

Last year was my first trip to GenCon and it was great (I found out about Sentinels there)! Definitely planning to go again this year.

Did you meet any of us there at the convention that you can remember?

I am free from work and looking at all of my options for cosplay for Gen Con. Don't want to do anything too complicated so I can still take care of my little one but I hope to come back to Gen Con again and work for you guys again!

The longest Soon I've seen was when Battlefield Earth (the book) said something like "Feature Film Coming Soon", about 10 or so years later they made the movie.

I'm sure I met some folks there. I played a few demo games and bought a bunch of stuff. At this point, though, I have no idea who I talked to amidst all of the sensory overload that is GenCon.

And look at how that disaster turned out.

"Hey guys, you know how we should film this movie? Turn the camera sideways for every shot! That won't be annoying at all!"

They were just trying get that elusive kill shot.

Just discovered Sentinels a few weeks ago after getting back into board games late last year, looking forward to seeing >G at GenCon this year.

i remember last gencon i was dressed as mario and talked with a few other fans. cant remember who. this year me and the fiance are doing sentinels characters friday, ww2 legacy and unity

i hope to get a chance to talk with people more and try out sentinels tactics, didnt have a chance last year. also very excited about the booth being bigger should be awesome

Yeah. I was like 3,500 after hitting the button right away. It's going much quicker now.
