I shall grab Tacky, unless somebody else grabs Tacky first!
Opening hand: drew three Accelerated Assaults, Sonic Vortex, Lightspeed Barrage and Fleet of Foot, drop Barrage and an Assault to the bottom of the deck.
Workable. Only qualm is whether Infrared Eyepiece is less useful in this set-up with Omnitron choosing from top 2 anyways. But it would still allow that power to bury villain cards in any case.

IREP lets you draw an extra card every turn, which is huge with the card filtering and potential deck-stacking. Definitely worth any possible nerf to its effectiveness. (A better example of a card which is badly nerfed by this rule would be Visionary's Suggestion; I may decide to allow that to come with an invisitext rider that stops the villain from choosing a different play that turn, since otherwise the card is pretty much useless.)

If we have any control on hero order do we want to not put Wraith and Bunker next to each other? They both tend towards projectile damage and no reason to make things easy for Omnitron's Adaptive Plating Routine. Same would probably apply for Tachyon and Legacy regarding melee damage.

Since the game is meant to be cinematic, making things difficult on the heroes would be rather fitting. I'm somewhat inclined toward specifically requiring the heroes to be paired off like this for that exact reason. (Those of you who play roleplaying games should be familiar with the maxim "Don't give the GM ideas!") I also rather want to specify that Legacy should come last in turn order, so that instead of making every hero awesome all the time, he takes until the last hero turn in round 1 to put in his dramatic entrance, and occasionally produces awkward interactions due to declaring Galvanize on the entire following round, before seeing what Megalopolis and Omnitron will do to the heroes that round.
Tell you what...Legacy and Tachyon both have to play cards for their damage, so I'll say Tachy's first (it's only fitting) and Legs is last, so there's an Environment turn in between. However, Bunker and Wraith should be second and third respectively (this keeps Tachy from colliding with Wraith in case of Throat Jab, though Combat Stance is still at risk), with AZ fourth, for the same thematic reasons as Tachyon (he's participating somewhat grudgingly). The collisions between Bunker and Wraith will discourage them from relying on the straightforward use of Flak Cannon and Razor Ordinance, pushing them toward different actions and thus making the "movie" less repetitive...certainly, Bunker charging up and firing an Omni-Cannon (ha!) and Wraith using IREP to predict Omnitron's attacks both seem like something you might see in an action movie.
First turn will come soon.

You mean abottom the deck. Anyway, let's roll the opening credits.
INT. ALDRED INDUSTRIES TEST CHAMBER – DAY
GENERAL DRAKE and several other Top Military Men are supervising the test-activation of Aldred's new flagship military hardware, the XK-9000 ALPHA, which appears as an ominous blue-glowing dome in the center of the lab. The brass and Aldred's corporate liason BRIAN BLISS are watching from a windowed bay overlooking the facility, while dozens of scientists mill about the machinery surrounding the XK, their purposeful motions reminiscent of ants in a hive.
BLISS: "As you're about to see, gentlemen, the XK-9000 Alpha represents the state of the art in military intelligence. When connected to a fully-equipped Aldred Industries Robotic Munitions Assembly Array, ts program will allow it to dynamically analyze the threat parameters of any enemy, and prioritize assets to the rapid construction of appropriate countermeasures, enabling the swift and economical deployment of exactly the weapons needed to end the engagement with minimal loss of life or property. Our patented Adaptive InterpolationGridEncasement ensures that the core can never be hacked, either wirelessly or through physical access, and the use of quantum computing technology ensures that the program can handle data in excess of…"
In the back of the assembly, one of the other officers leans close to DRAKE and whispers:
OFFICER: "You ever get the impression he's being paid by the word?"
DRAKE remains silent and impassive, keeping some distance from most of the group as they ooh and aah over Bliss's enthusiastic presentation. Suddenly, an alarm light appears on the panel in front of Bliss, but he quickly covers it with his hand and pivots, appearing casual as he positions himself in front of it to block it from the military mens' view. In the room below, things begin rapidly going to hell; the scientists begin to panic as machinery surrounding the XK-9000 springs to life of its own accord. Alarms are sounded, the lights flash red, and at last Bliss can no longer keep the situation under wraps. While the other generals begin demanding answers, DRAKE slips out the door and begins walking briskly along the hallways leading out of the lab, flipping open a cell phone and pressing one button to dial.
DRAKE (into phone): "This is General Ulysses Drake. Tell Lt. Vance to be ready to deploy in ten. Also, get on the horn to the E-R Labs and tell Dr. Stinson we have a situation. No, I'm not sure…you'd better hope I'm wrong."
DRAKE walks forward out of the frame, which continues advancing along the hall almost as fast as him. In the distance, from the door he left, emerges the sound of "shatterproof" glass shattering, accompanied by angry mechanical noises, confused masculine shouts, and then screams (the first one from Brian Bliss).
SCREEN WIPE to EXT. EIKEN-RUBENDALL LABS, then immediately to INT. thereof.
DR. MEREDITH STINSON (TACHYON) is on the phone.
TACHYON: "I see. Aldred, eh? You're sure? Well, can't say I'm surprised,I'llberightoverandcheckitout!" Dropping the phone without bothering to hang up, she zips out of the room, leaving her lab coat behind before it has time to collapse out of shape.
INT. DOOR OF CRYO-CHAMBER.
TACHYON zips to a halt in front of the door and raps insistently on the glass. She then presses the button for an intercom and speaks rapidly.
TACHYON: "Mr. Frost! Suit up; time for you to start earning the downpaymentonthatsuit!"
Tachyon zips away, leaving a grumpy-looking RYAN FROST to begin slowly getting out of his bed inside the CRYO-CHAMBER. His skin is the color of the ice on a major city's less frequently-plowed streets in January, and his chest is covered by a black metal plate with glowing blue lines. Grumbling all the way, he begins taking pieces of a powered armor suit down off the wall and hastily strapping them onto himself.
EXT. MEGALOPOLIS - FINE DINING RESTAURANT, EVENING
PAUL PARSONS (Legacy) and his WIFE are enjoying a romantic dinner and making small talk.
EXT. ROOK CITY - WILDERNESS NEAR MONTGOMERY MANOR, NIGHT.
A MOTORCYCLE traveling at unreasonable speed and without running lights turns off the road and vanishes into the woods, improbably staying upright and clear of all trees as it's maneuvered through the forest and toward a steep hillside. Vanishing into an unremarkable-looking cleft in the rock, it emerges a moment later inside the WRAITHCAVE. Its rider, THE WRAITH, parks it and hops off, trotting toward the MEGA COMPUTER which fills much of the wall of one room. An alert is flashing; she touches the screen and it expands into a window, from which several others sprout, showing a series of alarming data: newsfeeds and just-gone-live articles describing power fluctuations at utility stations in Megalopolis, police reports of "developing situations" at several manufacturing facilities, and so forth, all superimposed over a map of the city. With a grimace that's visible in outline through her mask, Maia wheels and dashes toward the secret elevator into the house; once inside, she presses the button for the Roof. The elevator skyrockets to the top floor and Maia hurriedly crosses the HELIPAD and gets into her STEALTH HELICOPTER, which a moment later rockets out of an apparent skylight in one of the Manor's many gables. Flying without lights, it vanishes into the night sky, but the camera pans to imply it's direction - the glittering towers of Megalopolis in the distance.
EXT. DOWNTOWN MEGALOPOLIS - Evening.
An army truck pulls up and parks. Inside, the BUNKER suit stands open, with LT. TYLER VANCE about to step inside.
JUNIOR SERGEANT: "Looks like General Vance was right. In less than an hour, there have beensixteen more incidents all over the city, concentrated in and around this area. I hope it proves to be just some Mega U fraternity prank, but you'd probably better be on your guard out there."
LT. VANCE: "Well, that's why they pay me the big bucks."
Lt. Vance gets into the suit, which closes up around him. He sits and awaits the order to deploy.
EXT. SKY - NIGHT.
The Wraithcopter is flying west.
EXT.RURAL AMERICA - Afternoon.
A red-white-blue-black blur is speeding down the side of a highway, effortlessly dodging the occasional pulled-over vehicle. Camera zooms in and manages to make out the heavily distorted figures of TACHYON and RYAN FROST (ABSOLUTE ZERO), the latter now completely enclosed in his suit and being carried over TACHYON's shoulder like a sack of flour. While his expression is invisible behind the suit's glowing blue faceplate, the tone of his voice as he shouts at her makes it clear he's not happy.
FROST: "WHY THE HELL ARE YOU CARRYING ME IF WE DON'T EVEN KNOW FOR SURE ANYTHING'S HAPPENING?"
TACHYON: "YOU CAN DOUBLE-CHECK THE CALIBRATION MODULE WHEN WE GET THERE! OWSONOVACRAPTHATONEGOTINMYEYE,WHEREDIPUTTHOSEDAMNGOGGLES!"
FROST: "I SWEAR TO GOD, IF ANYONE GETS A PICTURE OF THIS FOR THE TEN O CLOCK NEWS…!!!"
Camera zooms out. The blur of TACHY and ZERO crosses the shadow of sundown as it falls across the landscape. As they approach the western edge of Megalopolis, where the gloom of dusk is rapidly setting in, the shadow of the WRAITHCOPTER can be seen approaching from the darker sky to the east.
EXT. DOWNTOWN MEGALOPOLIS - Evening.
The hustle and bustle of city life is interrupted by the sight of a huge beetle-like metallic hulk, its body crowned by the immense blue dome of the XK-9000, bursts through the wall of a metal fabrication company on the edge of the warehouse district. Firing a beam of red energy from its single ominous "eye", the clattering four-legged robot OMNITRON is the size of a small house and crushes cars beneath its steps as it rampages into the street. Where the beam strikes a car or a piece of electrical equipment, it transforms the existing machinery into an S-85 AUTOMATON DRONE, a skeletally humanoid machine toting a laser rifle. People begin screaming and running in panic in all directions.
INT. FANCY RESTAURANT.
PAUL PARSONS is in the middle of a quiet, affectionate conversation with his WIFE, when suddenly the DANGER SENSE sound effect plays and he cocks his head distinctively. MRS. PARSONS recognizes the gesture immediately.
MRS. PARSONS: "Oh dear, you have to go, don't you?"
PAUL PARSONS (LEGACY): "Looks that way. Always remember, honey, I love you."
MRS. PARSONS: "I love you t–"
The sound of chaos and screaming has reached the restaurant, but Legacy is already gone, into the bathroom and out the window, his nice suit neatly folded and deposited on a handy fire escape as he flies away overhead.
EXT. DOWNTOWN MEGALOPOLIS - Evening.
A voice crackles over the radio of the BUNKER Suit as the back of the truck opens and the ramp unfolds for it to walk out.
RADIO: "Looks like that's our confirmation, Codename Bunker! Good luck!"
BUNKER: "Always appreciated! Same to all of you!"
Stepping out of the truck, Bunker is joined by Legacy and Tachyon zooming in from opposite sides, the latter setting AZ down not quite gently enough to keep him from tumbling onto his face. A little closer to where the WRAITHCOPTER is just setting down, OMNITRON stalks into view, its domed head scintillating with iridescent colors among the blue. Behind it march a phalanx of AUTOMATON DRONEs.

Wraith
Wraith scans the oncoming machine and followers with IR. "That small portal looks unshielded and appears to controls several mechanisms." She lobs a light explosive into the portal hoping to at least slow some of the machine's attacks.
Comment: Have a good array of equipment in hand - will now need time to deploy it and see how quickly Omnitron trashes it. I presume the group wants me to continue manipulating the villain deck when possible.

Not sure what you mean by reveal. You replace all instances of "draw X cards" with "X times, draw two cards and put one on bottom of deck". Things which don't say "draw" are unaffected.
If we shuffle our deck during the match the order on the bottom is disrupted, are we going with that, or keping those cards seperate?
I've been figuring you'd shuffle the whole deck…it kind of gives a disincentive to the use of fetch cards, which are otherwise quite powerful. I don't feel too strongly about it though.

Yea, I figure the "bottom of deck" list is not that vital for Wraith since the first Impromtu Equipment play is going to shuffle it up.
I also need info on the top two villain cards so I can make a decision on which one to bury. (And that power is only half as effective since the reveal 2, play 1 effect for villains mean they churn their deck faster.)

Please send the Automaton to the bottom of the villain deck.
(My reasoning is that I'd rather let Interpolation beam spread minor damage than another S-85 come out and dish someone a large hit. And then be around in the trash to potentially keep coming out as well. We should be able to keep components under control easier since Omni will be drawing fire as things develop.)

EXT - BATTLE IN DOWNTOWN MEGALOPOLIS, NIGHT
Shots ring out as heroic OFFICERS of the Megal-O-P-D arrive on the scene and begin firing on the beetle-like form of OMNITRON. Their bullets have little apparent effect, most ricocheting off the robot's armor plates without leaving a scratch, but a few manage to crack the glassy hexagonal facets of the XK-9000 dome which houses OMNITRON's "brain". A brilliant sheen travels across the plates and the next several bullets splatter like drops of water across the now vaguely gold-tinged surface.
End of Turn: The cops open fire on Omnitron for 1, ignoring and being ignored by the Automaton army for some reason. Omnitron's Adaptive Plating shifts to "projectile".
Ignoring the POLICE's now ineffectual barrage, OMNITRON turns its "head" toward the five heroes. Its "eye" brightens for a single pulse of malevolent awareness, then it opens a series of gunports around the eye and discharges a spray of drugged needles. BUNKER's suit is riddled with tiny punctures, and the plates that were rapidly unfolding and realigning themselves on the surface of his armor are jammed open uselessly. TACHYON is caught in mid-blur and momentarily nailed to a utility pole, while LEGACY doesn't even flinch as he's turned into a pincushion, but the flechettes impact in a pattern which coincidentally spells out an obscene word, so a large censor mosaic appears over him and he no longer presents an impressively heroic image to his onlooking teammates. THE WRAITH was off to the side and suffered only flesh wounds, while ABSOLUTE ZERO also ignores the worst of the effect. However, he then comes under fire from the legion of AUTOMATONS, their laser weapons melting large streaks of angry pink across the surface of his bluish-black armor.
Round Two
Omnitron - Currently a Rampaging Robot, soon to be a Self-Aware Robotics Factory
Omnitron - 98
In Play: Adaptive Plating Subroutine (projectile), S-85 Automaton Drone [4].
Start of Turn: Flip to Self-Aware Robotics Factory side.
Play a Card: Sedative Flechettes (Interpolation Beam to bottom of deck). 6 damage to all heroes and their Ongoings destroyed.
End of Turn: Omnitron makes impatient clackety noises because you haven't destroyed anything for him to rebuild. (I should consider houseruling this for future battles with him; have him start with stuff in the trash like Chairman, and maybe also add some houserule to put Devices into play when he's destroyed so that you HAVE to do the mopping-up. That mechanic is pretty unique and fitting, and very seldom comes up in my experience.)
In Play: Adaptive Plating Subroutine (melee), S-85 Automaton Drone [4].
Trash: Sedative Flechettes.
Deck: 18x ?, [CARD], [CARD], S-85 Automaton Drone, Interpolation Beam. (Note that [CARD] denotes a particular card whose identity is unknown to you, but which I am keeping track of. @ Pydro: Actually I have yet to control the villain's choices, which is the other houserule that currently applies (I'm interested in whether this plus the play choices proves overpowered; I didn't want to make this first game too normal, even though inevitably it had to be). Choosing which cards the villain plays is not ultimately that different from the villain just getting lucky and having all the right cards to destroy the heroes; I won't really feel that I'm "in control" until the S-85 Automaton chooses to shoot Tachyon instead of Wraith, when they're tied for HP but Wraith has Stealth up and a Suture Self in hand.
@ Jffdougan: So I did, I had mistakenly thought AZ lost nothing to the Flechettes other than HP, hence why he's described as not being hurt as much by them. But honestly, I think it was unwise for you to play the Impale as long as Omnitron has Adaptive Plating, as Impale would always fire at the start of AZ's turn, thusly the Plating'd always be set to "cold" during his turn and he couldn't do anything else to hurt Omnitron (except maybe Hoarfire, or of course Fueled Freeze).

EXT - BATTLE IN DOWNTOWN MEGALOPOLIS, NIGHT
The heroes appear ready to give the battle their all, when suddenly there is a shrill scream of distress. A LUNATIC in a Linux shirt and a plastic Cylon mask is hauling a feebly struggling old lady out of a side alley and toward Omnitron; his deranged babbling hurts the heroes' brain and leaves them unable to form complex plans.
LUNATIC: "Behold! The Machine Overlords have come to assimilate us all! I welcome your coming, Great Robot Master! Please accept this sacrifice as proof of my devotion! Her life is Yours to upgrade as you choose, the first of many who will be converted into cybernetic perfection for Your glory! Take this weak flesh to be integrated into your apotheosis matrix, and dazzle the minds of feeble organic beings with your awesome fractal revelations! Ia, ia, Davros Fhthagn! IA, IA, DAVROS FHTHAGN!"
Miniature versions of OMNITRON's insectile body begin to swarm into view, their blade-tipped legs clacking menacingly across the asphalt as they begin to close in on Legacy. Suddenly, Bunker's grenade launcher seals itself shut and then fires, blowing itself and the adjacent Gatling gun off his shoulder; at the same time, AZ's thermal calibrator reverses its polarity, beginning to raise his suit's temperature close to boiling, before he hurriedly rips the malfunctioning module off and discards it. Even Wraith's IREP begins flashing angrily, inducing a mild epileptic seizure which impels her to bash her face into the nearest wall until the device deactivates. She is then embarassed to note that she has not only revealed her position through these gyrations, but somehow misplaced her utility belt in the process, leaving her needing to hold her pants up with one hand as she gets her bearings again. Adding insult to injury, the LUNATIC narrates all of these technological mishaps as they happen, and rants loudly and triumphantly about how these incidents prove the validity of his twisted worldview. His jibber-jabber is so frenzied and his voice so unpleasantly grating that even Legacy and Tachyon, with their heightened senses and fast-time perception, are irritated into confusion by his mile-a-minute ravings.
Round Three
Omnitron - Currently a Self-Aware Robotics Factory, soon to be a Rampaging Robot
Omnitron - 92
In Play: Adaptive Plating Subroutine (projectile), S-85 Automaton Drone [4].
Play a Card: S-84 Assault Drone (Something other than Electropulse Explosive to bottom of deck).
End of Turn: Technological Singularity is played (another card bottomed). Each piece of hero Equipment blows up and deals 2 lightning damage to its owner. (Bunker loses two cards and takes 4, the formerly Stealthy Wraith loses two cards and takes 2, and AZ loses one card and takes 2.)
Skittery Stabby Thing skitters up to Legacy and stabs him for 2.
Didn't the EPE already get decked on Oaktree's turn?
Anyway, I don't have my cards right now, but Tachyon will be drawing two, so everyone else can go ahead and do things.
EDIT: Tich-Tach draws Research Grant and Synaptic Interruption, decks Synaptic Interruption, draws Synaptic Interruption and Pushing the Limits, decks Synaptic Interruption.

Because I have company until Wednesday morning (significantly delayed due to the ice storm that hit MI before Christmas, and staying here later than originally planned due to the forecast winter weather system that should hit me, I'm posting a turn now for when my turn rolls around.
If I'm following properly, Hostage Situation is currently in play and therefore the good guys can't play cards. If that changes before the start of my turn, I'll revise (but I don't think it can).

EXT - BATTLE IN DOWNTOWN MEGALOPOLIS, NIGHT
Long panning shot of a monorail train zooming overhead (from upper left to lower right, since the one in Spider-Man 2 ran straight left and the one in Batman Begins came from the lower left).OMNITRON "looks" up at it, and an ominous red glow flashes in the cab, then the train slams on the brakes and begins to derail.

Any comments on priorities for this round? We have a grace period due to Tachyon before the EPE blows so I presume weakening it will be the main target. Beyond that I do have a Grappling Hook available so either Omnitron's Plating Routine or the Monorail can be taken out. I would presume the former since that will simplify attacks on Omnitron going forward, but would be willing to give a hearing anyone who thinks the Monorail should get it instead.
And I presume the drones will deserve some attention before they build up too much.
And since this is game discussion outside of "in character" I am curious why BlueHairedMeerkat has not had Tachyon save a Synaptic Interruption. It's an effective EPE counter card. (Not a criticism, part of the reason I want to play and read forum games is to learn alternate strategies and plays for various heroes since it is how to learn to play them better.)

Bunker is up. Then Wraith I think - with AZ and Legacy rounding things out. Since I have an Impromtu Invention available I should be able to get a weapon out and hit something - probably Throwing Knives since I can then hit the EPE and both drones for 2 each at the very least. Additional play from there can potentially be increasing that, Utility Belt back out, or as mentioned using the Grappling Hook on something. Will wait and see what Bunker does first in any case before deciding.

We have 11 cards in the villain deck, and Omni will go through 4 of them this turn. Likelihood we get another Singularity or Flechettes is good, and in two more turns we'll clear all but one non-rejected card from the deck. Rejected cards will make up at least three turns of play after that.
My plan is to Combustion everything next turn, for 4 damage if Legs can Galvanize again. Anything at 4 health or less can die that way. (unless we see flechettes I will Ammo Drop first, so please leave as many things at 4 or less health as we can)
Strategy:
16 cards are unknown, the next 13 in the deck and the last 3
There are 6 drones, 5 components, 2 terraforming, 1 singularity, 1 flechettes and 1 adaptive plating unacounted for. I think we can assume priorities will eliminate Repair drones while Omni is high HP and most Components, that's 7 of the cards easily chosen to bury. Terraforming right now would burn 4 cards and play 2, basically meaning we will see destruction cards soon, and probably attack drones mixed in.
I doubt AZ or I will get too set up as it takes 13 card plays to go through Omni's deck entirely, and 4 of those are destruction cards, which averages to every other round if no Terraformings are played.
The speed at which he will burn his deck and the ability to cut the fat out is far more benefitial to Omni and his destruction cards than it is to us, since we are using the cards to set up stuff he will keep knocking down.
One-Shot damage is going to be more valuable than trying to get set up for better things, sadly we have 0 base power damage to fall back on, so we will have to keep rebuilding on the fly. I don't think AZ is going to be able to do anything this match, he isn't going to be all that effective until he gets several cards in play, at which time those cards (at least some of them) should be getting destroyed.
That said the great equalizer is Tachyon-Galvanize, the faster Tach can burn her deck the faster she can get Hypersonic, and that is our real chance to win, Throat Jab and Take Down too. I will keep trying to set up for a gun in play or a combustion, too many equips will get me killed, and no way I can use Turret for more than a turn or two.

Wraith
Wraith notes that she is in the alley by the back entrance of an electronics store. She kicks over the trash can, spilling an array of wires and miscellanous electronic bits. "Let's see what we have here..." as she grabs some items from her utility belt and knells to scoop up some parts.
A few minutes later Wraith fires a grappling hook into a building across the street. She swings over the currently quinescent mechanical monster. As she does so she tosses throwing knives and also tosses a sparking device onto the top of Omnitron's dome - "Your little adaptive routine should have fun with this!"
Play a Card: Impromptu Invention Draw Stun Bolt and Impromptu Invention - Stun Bolt to bottom of deck Search deck for Microtargeting Computer and put in play (Shuffle Deck)
Play Impromtu Invention Draw Throat Jab and Infrared Eyepiece - Infrared Eyepiece to bottom of deck Search deck for Throwing Knives and put in play (Shuffle Deck)
Effects: Next Damage that would be dealt to Wraith reduced by 2.

Strategy Comments: Leaving drones intact for Bunker next round - so hit Omnitron, the EPE, and the Monorail. The last, if it takes another hit is also now vulnerable for Bunker. Killed the APS so that we can hit Omnitron with any type of damage for at least a little while - or at least suck a card play out of him to re-establish it.

Simply because Research Grant and Pushing The Limits are both powerful cards, and it didn't occur to me that Synaptic would be fantastic against the EPE. Lesson learned, I guess.
I forgot the Galvanise on my turn - the Monorail is now at 4HP (and Omni at 86 and the EPE at 9), so the Combustion should take it out now.

With its scythelike legs taking chunks out of the asphalt like so many jackhammers, it makes a bee(tle)line for the nearest viable target, who happens to be glowing blue in places much like Omnitron itself. I'm gonna say that at the end of the game, any hero who neither got incapped nor received a DXM (remember, this is a movie, the last hero can't actually die, but he can get written out) puts their hand into their trash, then shuffles their trash and puts it on the bottom of their deck. The objective is to see them getting new cards from game to game, but not to allow them to stack their entire deck; a little randomness gets injected back in, even while the bottomed cards from the previous game do give you some determinism. (I wish I had an idea how to stop heroes like Wraith from mucking the whole thing up with their search cards.)
Correct, the extra card that you bottom doesn't count as "drawn". Not that I don't think Interpolation Beam could stand to suck less, but I don't want to risk any other unintended interactions.

It's normally Draw 4 and Discard 2, but the 2 need not be from among the 4 that you drew. Now I think it's "Reveal 2, keep 1 of them" (x4) and then "Discard 2" (which need not be from the 4).

EXT - BATTLE IN DOWNTOWN MEGALOPOLIS, NIGHT
The kitten was saved, but there's a new problem. Though threats of being shot, smacked, and frozen were enough to drive the LUNATIC away, he apparently has friends. A couple dozen pudgy, pimply, pasty-skinned, or otherwise unattractive youths with Cyberman, Terminator, Borg or Megatron masks filter out of the nearby alleys, chanting "IA! IA! SKYNET FHTHAGN! IA, IA, MASTERMOLD FHTHAGN!"The crowd of misguided youths form a human chain around OMNITRON, their backs to him and their hands linked together. Tempting though it is, the heroes dare not allow these imbeciles to be slaughtered, either by OMNITRON or by themselves in an attack on the robot.
Seeming to comprehend that some of these humans want to be killed by it, OMNITRON decides not to give them the satisfaction. Tucking its legs underneath and plopping back down onto the asphalt, it unfolds its production line again and rolls out a series of new bettle-bots, who scuttle out between the feet of the goofball machine-cultists and advance on Our Heroes. A few others remain closer to their "parent", and seem to be engaged in repairing its battle damage. Perhaps it is tolerating its "devotees" because it senses that it needs all the help it can get?

EXT - BATTLE IN DOWNTOWN MEGALOPOLIS, NIGHT
Omnitron gets back to its feet and scuttles backward slightly, perhaps intimidated by the invincible Legacy as he attempts to close the distance between them. From overhead, another train slams on its brakes and derails.
Proving its display of fear to have been a ruse, Omnitron unfolds a fearsome weapons array from its "head", firing another spray of drugged needles which mostly catches Legacy with its brunt, though Absolute Zero also feels their sting. Piercing through Paul's mutating skin and Ryan's metal armor with equal ease, the flechettes deliver their toxic payload and both champions stagger, feeling their strength fade. A handful of the projectiles might manage to get past Legacy's blockade to reach the rest of the Freedom Five and inflict grevious wounds.
Round Five
Omnitron - Currently a Self-Aware Robotics Factory, soon to be a Rampaging Robot
Play a Card: Electro-Magnetic Railgun (another card bottomed)
End of Turn: Sedative Flechettes. Omnitron inflicts five instances of 6 projectile damage; Legacy may take any or all of them for the other hero they're meant for. Then Legacy's limited-invincibility combo, AZ's Cold Snap, and any other Ongoings I missed are gone.
(There were errors in my trash between the previous posts in the thread and my own records; I had mistaken one type of drone for another. And even though the trash is being shuffled, I've put it in the order I had it listed in both places to prevent confusion as I continually rebuild the deck for each turn, so that I don't have to omit Omnitron or Megalopolis from my real-life games.)
Deck: Heavy Plating, Adhesive Foam Grenade, Grenade Launcher, Maintenance Unit, Turret Mode, Adhesive Foam Grenade, Flak Cannon, Decomissioned Hardware, Maintenance Unit, Turret Mode, Upgrade Mode, Ammo Drop, Heavy Plating, Omni-Cannon, Auxiliary Power Source, Ammo Drop, Recharge Mode, Heavy Plating.

(Wraith takes 4 points of damage as reduction from a Stealth a number of rounds back gets used)
Comment: We need to protect Tachyon at least long enough for her to unload Lightspeed Barrages. Main flaw in that plan is if Omnitron rolls out his remaining Adaptive Plating Routine since it will take an extra turn to get that out of the way.
Trash: Onboard Module Installation x 4, Impale, Null-Point Calibration Unit, Cold Snap

On the plus side, we've now had both Sedative Flechettes come out at us. On the minus side, there's still another of That Bomb and another Technological Singularity waiting to nuke Wraith, Bunker, and me.

EXT - BATTLE IN DOWNTOWN MEGALOPOLIS, NIGHT
Several well-dressed men and women rush onto the scene, snapping photos of the heroes, the machine "cult", the rampaging robot itself, the two derailed trains (one smashed head-first into a mattress factory, but thankfully almost empty when it crashed; the other having been safely guided to the ground by TACHYON), and the general chaos of the situation. Their snapping flashbulbs have little if any effect on OMNITRON and his "friends", but make the heroes' job of unloading their firepower on the deranged machine more difficult. One reporter makes herself particularly obnoxious by standing directly in front of the camera and keeping the viewer from seeing more than faint snatches of the heroes in action.
REPORTER: "Thanks Roger, this is Diane Jansen live on the scene, where America's newest superhero sensation, the 'Freedom Five', after their much-publicized battles against their comically inept 'nemeses', now have their hands full with a REAL challenge! This mechanical colossus, and an apparently suicidal legion of what appear to be ill-adjusted teenagers, are wreaking havoc in the heart of Megalopolis, and Legacy and his 'teammates' appear to have their hands full dealing with the threat! Let's see if we can get a quick soundbyte from the man himself...Mr. Parsons? Mr. Parsons! Is it true that this is actually a publicity stunt funded by the Department of Defense to support new legislation to de-regulate superhero vigilantism?"
Apparently not realizing that he has an unwitting ally in the press, OMNITRON discharges a beam of malevolent red energy which sweeps across the jostling reporters and vaporizes them, then swivels around to blast the police to atoms as well (he had been very patient with them so far, but enough was enough!). The sparkling reddish-gray dust into which both groups of professionals were transformed then seems to sculpt itself into solid shapes out of thin air...the shapes of more of the Terminator-esque robot soldiers, who immediately open fire on the Wraith, clearly not fazed by her attempts to conceal herself. In the midst of the robot legion, the pulsating sphere of the bomb stands resurrected. A stringent whine sounds as the camera cuts to each hero in turn; the viewer may at first assume it's a sound effect meant to signify their despair, but the final shot of TACHYON cringing and covering her ears suggests that the sound is actually present in the battle, produced by OMNITRON in order to grate on the heroes' nerves.
Round Six
Omnitron - Currently a Rampaging Robot, soon to be a Self-Aware Robotics Factory
Start of Turn: Flip to Self-Aware Robotics Factory side.
Play a Card: Terraforming destroys Police Backup and Paparazzi On the Scene, plays S-84 Automaton Drone and That Bomb; a total of three other cards bottomed, the last of which was an Interpolation Beam.
End of Turn: Omnitron rebuilds his other Interpolation Beam. Automaton Drone shoots Wraith for 5 energy.
If it still matters when my turn rolls around, I think I've got 9 of the damage needed to wipe Omnitron in hand -- AZ

Between Bunker and Wraith I expect we'll take Omnitron and the drone down, plus weaken the Explosive appreciably. If the EPE hangs around to the next round it can be taken out then, or Tachyon can put a Synaptic Interruption in play that can be used to blast it with itself if has 3 or more HP left.

Dang, I thought Omnitron had a chance this game, but you handled him nicely. Oh well, the first movie is rarely the best. I'm already workshopping villain/environment pairs for the second, if folks would like to play again. One hero, probably Haka, is now "benched" towards the eventual launching of a second movie series.
I eagerly await any and all postmortem analysis.

Remarks:
I don't think we communicated that well as a team. I sort of knew what various other heroes were up to, but that was mainly from having played them myself. So the strategy sort of defaulted into "Build up, deal with threats, and knowing that at some point Tachyon was going to bring Omni down to a vulnerable level." So, therefore, I think there needed to be a little more side chatter to confirm who was taking care of what, and so on. Such as, if the group thought sufficient damage was being inflicted whether it was worthwhile rolling out another IR Eyepiece to deck some of Omni's cards, etc.
And given the group's relative lack of on-going control I think we should have taken more steps to ensure a consistent capability regarding that if possible. Omni rolling out another Adaptive Plating Subroutine in that last round would be crimped Tachyon's barrage, and also slowed up our final series of attacks. Probably not enough to make a difference, but the threat was there.
And I think the "draw 2/play 1" mechanic makes the villains more threatening. Much less chance of a "dud play" by a villain such as wasting a healing card or something like Technological Singularity in the 1st round. It also lessens any attempts by the heroes at villain deck control. On the flip-side it helps the heroes as well, but probably not to the same degree.
Oh, and the Megalopolis environment did a fair job in rolling out its more annoying cards.
Cinematic Remarks:
One thing to make sure of is to add scenes where the reporters are annoying to either the heroes or Omnitron earlier in the movie. Disintegrating them in front of the heroes without there being some ironic justice being delivered just makes the heroes look bad. Especially given that the rambunctous pro-machine protesters get off scot-free. (Though I guess you can have Tachyon do a modified Accelerated Assault and spank all their asses on the way out.)

I liked it as Bunker, it instantly solves any slow starting Heroes card woes.
Speeding up the Villain is going to be hellish vs. a Baron Blade or Citizen Dawn.
Chairman being able to time up Jailbreak just seems nasty.
Overall I liked it. It takes increased effort to run your character, which is why I think the communication suffered, that wouldn't be a problem in person.
Regular Omni was cool, but even these rules couldn't make him a threat vs. 5 heroes. his danger there is his components, and 5 heroes don't let components survive. (I still think (H)x2 would have been better for component destruction)
Cannot Trumps can, and Tachyon Legacy and Wraith provide a lot of cannot.
I was thinking, with reveal effects like IR eyepiece, and Visionary's stuff, maybe change it so they don't put one on top, one/two on bottom, but could put any number on top or bottom, in any order (at least when used on Villain or hero decks). In my opinion that would leave them more useful for these rules, while still not as powerful as in regular play.

I enjoyed it! Your flavor text was often hilarious, Envisioner.
The deck stacking doesn't help Legacy so much, I don't think. I found myself not bothering with my card-drawing cards, since everybody's hand was already so good. As mentioned, it does really hurt the villain deck stacking possibilities.

Might I also suggest, for purposes of planning the next game, making Unity the next character on the bench? I can also see the Baron setting up in the Ruins of Atlantis being somewhat thematically appropriate, as he uses the power there to fuel the Impulsion Beam.

As promised, a post-mortem of this game detailing all the cards Omnitron bottomed.
No-brainers on both counts.
I chose Police Backup in part because I'd already started writing flavor text for Omnitron, and didn't want to pause to verify whether you were destroying Impending Casualty in case the other Terraforming showed up (nevermind that the deck was stacked by IREP). But also because Impending Casualty is kind of a lame non-event, and I figured you could maybe use the help taking down that 100-HP juggernaut. (It didn't occur to me that the cops would step on Bunker's and Wraith's toes during turns when Tacky didn't manage to deal damage…I figured I was going easy on you.) Of course, picking the back-breaking Flechettes over wimpy Interpolation Beam was easy enough, especially with Legacy having half of his ubercombo in play - why dpt played Next Evo on a turn when he wasn't using its power I don't know, but it meant Omnitron had a fighting chance this game.
I still consider Megalopolis a good choice for newbie games in large part because of Rooftop Combat, which enables you to ignore the Environment deck for several turns. (Others have pointed out that there are good reasons for reconsidering this policy…perhaps Megalopolis is still good if you stack the deck, but it can be problematic if Hostage or Paparazzi show up too early.) Since Rooftop suggests a climax, I didn't want it to show up this early, and anyway it was likely to help you more than it hurt you, and I wanted to give Omnitron all the help I could, since he has such a pathetic record in my experience. Once it got to his turn, I had an easy enough choice…Disintegration Ray is a Component, and Components seldom last long in five-hero games, so even the wimpy Drone was preferable to a card that wouldn't do anything until the next turn, and likely wouldn't last that long.
I didn't want Targeting Innocents to see play until there had been an Impending Casualty, as it seems narratively necessary - although in fact, I now think it'd be more appropriate to have one turn of TI without IC, then have IC start happening, as if the Targeting Innocents was getting worse (I had perhaps failed to grok that it does this every round). Even more ideal would be for IC to happen, then the deck to be reshuffled so TI could come out, and only then for IC to turn up again…but even with the deck burning an extra card each round, that would take a long time to happen. With a choice between two cards that both would need to avoid 10 damage within a round in order to do anything, I picked the one with the more dramatic effect, even knowing that it might (and did) prove repetitive. Once Omni's turn rolled around, I had a seemingly easy choice to make, but if I'd realized the Self-Aware Robotics Factory was going to rebuild a Drone, I might have made this choice differently, even though the ominous image of the Bomb rising into view was compelling to me. Still, I have a hard time getting out of the habit of considering Repair Drone a weak card, a waste of one of Omni's valuable plays, and EPE his strongest attack under all circumstances (instead of just most of them - stupid Hypersonic Assault), so I made the apparently obvious decision.
Revisiting the choice from the first enviro turn, I made it the opposite way (having perhaps forgotten the Terraforming risk, or just decided it didn't matter enough), but found myself un-inspired by IC now that it was finally coming out…I considered Poor Fluffy to be a weak point in my storytelling for this match. In retrospect, with Tacky having Hypersonicked (and I should have noticed it was coming), playing Targeting Innocents last round would have been even better, for it would mean there could be an "either/or" moment with IC that's normally impossible. Oh well, live and learn. On Omni's turn, I passed on TechSing because I figured poor AZ deserved a break, and on the Railgun for the usual reason of not wanting to wait a full round to get anything done…Interpolation wouldn't do much, but at least there was a chance it'd push a character closer to the breaking point, as I was very much hoping to do (I had forgotten the "one incapped hero is dropped from the team" rule, which would have suited my desire to keep the hero selection dynamic, but still, I get tired of effortless victories for the hero team, and wanted to see Omnitron take at least one of you out).
Though I was mostly pretty careful with my recordkeeping, there was one turn in which I got distracted with IRL stuff and forgot to take note of which cards got bottomed on Omnitron's turn, so I was later forced to guess from an imperfect memory…I assume it must have been this turn, because I can't think why else I would have rejected a Terminators card in favor of the wimpy Repair drone. I really hated repeating Hostage Situation, but Legacy had actually activated Next Evolution at least once somewhere around here, and I wasn't about to turn all damage to Melee right then, when I actually had some hope of snuffing him out if I got a bit of luck on the card plays, before he entirely shut the game down with his Lead From the Front combo. I liked the idea of the heroes getting up close and personal with Omnitron, and I definitely liked the idea of upping his damage by one, not to mention the Plating if that was still in play…but as it was, I just couldn't risk it.
I really hated how much repetition was happening, but this time Legacy actually had the damn combo in play, so I definitely couldn't go CQC this time, as much as I wanted to. I was hoping fervently for the Flechettes, and got them…I knew the Component was doomed, but the Drone was even more hopeless with Legacy immune to melee, so at least we got to see it in the "movie". I don't remember whether I was relieved or annoyed to have APS get bottomed in order to play the critically-necessary Flechettes; I wanted to help Omnitron, and APS plus CQC would have been a beautiful combo if I could have finished Legacy off, but as it was, I needed the Ongoings gone, and was indeed able to make that happen, knowing it was my last chance to possibly turn the game around.
Writing the Paparazzi's dialogue was awesome, it was very sad that they didn't survive to affect the game in any way. Overall, the ending was the most unsatisfying part of this game by far…the main reason I say that I'd have to rewrite this "script," if the movie were actually being made, is that basically very little happened until the last round of the game, and then far too much all at once. You get a goofy picture of Tachyon standing around scratching her head for several minutes while the drones and Hostaging cultists postured and Trains fell ineffectually from the sky, then all of a sudden incredible carnage was unleashed all at once after all that nothing…it would take a fair bit of polishing to turn it into a decently paced action flick.
Still, all told, it was a good first outing for the SCUverse rules, and I'm glad that one of the decks ran all the way through so that the semi-predictability could affect the climax, even if it didn't work quite the way I hoped.
