La Capitan

La Capitan [75]

In Play: La Paradoja Magnifica [15]

Trash: n/a

Additional Effects:

* SV: If there are 3+ cards beneath La Capitan, she flips.  Whenever she destroys a Hero card, it goes under La Capitan.  Destroy a Hero Ongoing/Equipment card (Advanced)

*EV: Deal highest hp Hero target H-1 Projectile.

La Paradoja Magnifica: EV: Play the top card of the Villain Deck; SV: Shuffle Villain Trash into the Villain Deck

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Start of Villain Turn: Flip?  Nope.  No Hero cards in play to destroy.

Play a Card:   Walk the Plank!  Haka takes 3 damage [30] and cannot use Powers this turn.

End of Villain Turn:: Haka takes 4 projectile damage [26].

La Paradoja Magnifica lets La Capitan play another Villain Card:  All Together Now--La Capitan deals either Fixer or Bunker 1 Lightning damage.  The boat is already in play.

So for Turmoil. . .

I'm going to have to input my turn, then wait for the player of the chosen deck to respond and then I'll edit my turn with my selection.

Omnitron-X will be doing similar things as well.

So this game could take a while.

Fortunately, those both happen near the end of the turn, so we may not need a response from you before continuing with the next player.  I guess Omnitron-X is more likely to be doing things after playing one power.  Anyway, we'll see.  The last game was really short.

Bunker

HP: 28

Hand: Recharge Mode, Turret Mode, Upgrade Mode, Adhesive Foam Grenade

In play:

Trash: n/a

Additional effects:

------------------

Start of hero turn:

Play a card: Adhesive Foam Grenade (Environment cards can't be played till the start of my next turn)

Use a power: Initialize (Draw card: Maintenance Unit)

Draw a card: Flak Cannon

End of hero turn:

-------------------

HP: 28

Hand: Recharge Mode, Turret Mode, Upgrade Mode, Maintenance Unit, Flak Cannon

In play:

Trash: Adhesive Foam Grenade

Additional effects:

(So, it looks like unless La Capitan is flipped or other characters are throwing out junk equipment I'll only be getting one use out of my Equipment cards. Not sure if anyone has support cards to help with this. I'll probably be doing Flak Cannon next turn.)
(Oh, i now see it also affects Ongoing cards. That could be good or bad I suppose.)

Is anybody else going to put down any equipment or ongoings?  On future rounds I'll be happy to contribute equipment or ongoings to be sacrificed, but I would like to get out and keep out my Dual Crowbars.  But if nobody else has anything to offer, I'll put out my Bloody Knuckles and let them get eaten.

In regards to the other comment, i'll be putting down equipment next round so I can do some damage. I'd rather not lose it, but that's the way this game is going to go. I guess i could play some of my ongoing mode cards too, if you need your weapons around a while.

Interesting fact. As of last night i've played as every hero (minus those in Rook City). I played a solo game with Argent Adapt, Tachyon (she by far was MVP), NightMist, and Chrono Ranger vs Gloomweaver. No one died. Argent kept letting Tachyon get her do x where x = burst in trash by retrieving that card from her trash, so i was doing some great damage from that. Managed to kill his three Relics which ends the game. Environment was his home, Realm of Discord (If possible, i like to play with their 'native' environment when fighting a villian for the first time. It's also the first time i've killed a Rank 3 villian. Took many hours though....

This is my first time fighting La Capitan. (I don't look at the decks before using them the first time.) She sure seems to have a lot of minions!

It's not that she has a *lot* of minions.  Rather, she has 7-8 crewmembers who can bring the hurt all on their own...and keep coming back.

I'm sorry, but Plunder should only have destroyed one ongoing/equipment: Maria Helena is still not crew...

Mable destroys another one.  That makes a total of 3 ongoing/equipments destroyed, so we can keep one of Demoralization, Pipe Wrench, and Electro-Deployment Unit (since we had agreed to destroy the plating).  Any votes?  I nominate the Electro-Deployment Unit, just to have some hope of staying ahead of the destruction.

Yeah, I was hoping to keep demoralization, but it isn't as good as Electro-deployment.

Also I would imagine the best thing for me is to take over Siege Breaker with Wrest the mind.  We just need Mable dead, and she's immune to melee.  Good thing we have a fix for that.

Sorry on the early confusion--I keep forgetting that La Capitan isn't a member of her own crew.  Weird, funky rule there:  Dawn is a Citizen, Voss is a Thorathian, but La Capitan isn't a member of her own crew.  Weird.  I have no issues with you guys leaving ElectroDeployment Unit out--it was my bad in the first place.

Your options for the Environment Deck are Pervasive Red Dust or Fire in the Biosphere.

La Capitan will still flip on her turn, as she has 3 cards underneath her (Demoralization, an O-X plating, and a Pipe Wrench).

Wagner Mars Base

Start of Environment Turn: n/a

Play a Card: Fire in the Biosphere:  Haka [20], Bunker [20] and Fixer [19] take 4 fire damage, as they have no ongoings to destroy.  O-X [20] takes 2, due to destroying Gaussian Coil-Blaster.  Visionary may take eithe 2 (if she destroys Wrest the Mind) or 4 (if she does not)--I'm assuming she's not, considering the strategy listed upthread, bringing her to [18].

Fire in the Biosphere stays in play--to destroy, 1 player may discard 2 cards at the start of the environment turn.

La Capitan: Split Across Time!

La Capitan [74]

Trash: Walk The Plank (x2), All Together Now (x2), Raiding Party, A Motley Crew (x2), Plunder (x2), The Amazing Mable (x2)

Additional Effects:

* SV: Each Villain target regains X hp, where X = the number of cards under this card (currenly 3).  The first time La Capitan would be dealt damage each round, redirect that damage to the non-villain target with the highest HP.

*EV: If there are no cards beneath La Capitan, flip her!

La Paradoja Magnifica: EV: Play the top card of the Villain Deck; SV: Shuffle Villain Trash into the Villain Deck

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Start of Villain Turn: Flip?  YES!  Becomes Split Across Time.  La Capitan heals all Villain targets for 3.   La Paradoja Magnifica shuffles the villain trash into the villain deck.  Chip deals  O-X net 0  Projectile damage [20].

Play a Card:   L'Epeiste [7] enters play.

End of Villain Turn:

La Paradoja Magnifica lets La Capitan play another Villain Card:  A Motley Crew.  There are no crew in the villain trash.  Play the top card of the Villain Deck:  Raiding Party:  Final Breath [11], The Amazing Mable [6], and Battle-Forged [12]  enter play.  Destroy an Ongoing or Equipment Card.

Trueshot:  Haka takes 4 projectile damage [16].

Chip: O-X takes net 0 projectile damage. [20].

Siege-Breaker:  Siege-Breaker attempts to deal 3 Irreducible fire damage to Fixer and Bunker.  Per your instructions, Visionary uses Wrest the Mind.  Siege-Breaker deals 6 irreducible fire damage to The Amazing Mable, killing her.  Visionary takes 6 psychic damage from Wrest the Mind [12], while Siege Breaker takes 4 due to his DR [6].

L'Epeiste:  n/a (acts at SV)

Turret Mode is use two powers, but i can't draw cards. Could I use my Draw a Card power?

OK, i'll just take the two damage then. :)

I was planning to attack Mable. I could reduce her to two. Should I attack someone else? Can Visionary finish her off?

Grim--can you edit your turn to reflect who you're attacking:  Mable or the the boat.

cmschex--you guys wouldn't be able to get rid of Mable this turn via Wrest the Mind because Siege-Breaker can't deal damage (Ground-Pound).  That means Mable is going to trigger another Villain card and another item/Ongoing destruction unless killed.

I see that now from BHM, but that was after I posted the turn... Is that a consensus decision? If so, Mable is dead and the boat would have started the turn at full health, then taken down 3 from flak cannon and 2 from mere to 10 overall. Otherwise, the turn is as it stands currently.

Why would Fire in the Biosphere only affect the ship by 1hp?  Is there some damage reduction I'm missing, beyond that on Siege-Breaker?  It looks like you were making a similar calculation for Chip and Siege-Breaker and La Capitan herself, although it only matters for the ship because the rest get healed immediately.

4 damage from Fire in the BioSphere, but 3 regained from La Capitan = 1 total damage on the ship.

It took 2 from Fixer went to full health with Plunder, then took 2 from Mere, 1 from Gaussian Coil Blaster, then 2 from Bio-Sphere, then healed 3.  So it would have ended villain turn at 13 health.  That's my calculation.

Use a power: Timeshift self; reveal Technological Advancement; bring out an Electro-Deployment Unit, draw Reactive Plating Subroutine.

Draw a card: Rocket Punch

End of hero turn: Slip Through Time activates; play and use Rocket Punch; 2 damage to the ship [4] and 1 to La Cap (since I believe the card-removal clause activates before the redirection one, this would get rid of one of the cards below her.).

Yes, I think that was an official ruling somewhere. Can we get a list of cards below her in the turn summaries?  Right now, I believe she has Elemental Exochassis, Demoralization, Pipe Wrench, and Tire Iron. At some point I'll play Scrap Yard, which would be a reason to get the Equipment cards out from under her; are there other considerations on which cards we should rescue first?

Additional effects: So there's definitely a Timeshift going spare next round. Who wants it?

I would appreciate it, particularly if I don't draw a Grease Gun next turn.  (There are currently 2 in my deck, along with many other cards that would help my setup, like Jack Handle.) But maybe someone else has a bigger need.

Use a power: Turmoil on the Dark Visionary Deck, Mass Levitation to bottom of deck, Decoy Projection to top.

Draw a card: Decoy Projection

End of hero turn:

HP: 7

La Capitan: Split Across Time!

La Capitan [75]

In Play: La Paradoja Magnifica [4], Trueshot [9], Chip [8]; Siege-Breaker [10]; L'Epieiste [7]; Final Breath [11]; Battle Forged [12]

Trash: All other cards.

Additional Effects:

* SV: Each Villain target regains X hp, where X = the number of cards under this card (currenly 2--Elemental Exochassis and Demoralization).

No.  La Capitan heals all Villain targets for 2 (only her boat).   La Paradoja Magnifica shuffles the villain trash into the villain deck.  Chip cannot deal damage..

Play a Card:   Plunder:  Destroy 7 Hero cards. (These do not go under La Capitan)  La Paradoja Magnifica regains 2 hp (all others are at full health)

End of Villain Turn:

La Paradoja Magnifica lets La Capitan play another Villain Card:  Walk The Plank.  La Capitan attempts to deal Fixer damage, but cannot because of Ground Pound/Meteor Swarm.  Fixer may not use Powers this turn.

Trueshot:  Cannot deal damage.

Chip: Cannot deal damage.

Siege-Breaker:  Cannot deal damage.

L'Epeiste: Cannot deal damage.

Final Breath: Cannot deal damage.

Battle Forged:  Cannot deal damage.

The way I'm reading it Fixer would still be unable to use powers, as the damage and the anti-powers clauses are in different sentences entirely:

"La Capitan deals the hero character card with the highest hp 4 projectile damage.  That hero's player cannot use powers until the start of the villain turn."

Fixer was listed above at 23 hp before the Innervation Rays were used and he took no damage this turn, making him the highest.  Did something not get tallied on him?

And, can I get a list of what's getting destroyed before this set of Hero turns start?

Right now, I'm tallying 1) Ground Pound, 2) Mere, 3) Slip Through Time, 4) Rocket Punch, 5) EDU, and potentially 6) Ablative Plating, 7) Innervation Ray.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Start of Villain Turn: Flip?  No.  La Capitan heals all Villain targets for 1.   Chip deals O-X negligible projectile damage.  L'Epeiste deals O-X 5 Energy damage [19] and destroys 0 components.

Play a Card:   Walk The Plank:  O-X takes net 1 projectile damage.[18]  O-X may not use Powers this turn.

End of Villain Turn:

Trueshot:  Deals Fixer 4 Projectile damage [15]

Chip: Deals O-X negiligible Projectile damage [18].

Siege-Breaker:  Visionary uses Wrest the Mind to redirect both of S-B's damage instances to Final Breath [3].  Neither Visionary nor Siege-Breaker take damage, due to the Oxygen Leak/Twist the Ether combo.

L'Epeiste: Dealt damage at the SV.

Final Breath:Attempts to deal Visionary 3 Toxic, which is routed to the Decoy Projections [2].

Battle Forged:  Attempts to deal Visionary net 4 Energy, which is routed to the Decoy Projection [destroyed].

I'm guessing you didn't actually do it, since Walk the Plank got played anyway, but the ship doesn't do the trash-shuffling. Either way, that one damage takes me below Fixer, meaning he has to take the four damage and I absorb the two.

AWESOME!!!

I will not destroy fire in the biosphere, it will do no damage due to oxygen leak.

Siege Breaker will hit Final Breath for 3 and 3 irreducible fire damage, after each I will hit him and me for fire damage that is reduced to 0.

So 6 damage to final breath and 0 to me or Siegebreaker.

Shouldn't Battle Forged go first?  He was listed first before.  Otherwise the top card of the villain deck needs played.

Meteor Storm is the only card in the trash, so we should take the 1 damage next turn, the longer Oxygen Leak stays out the longer I can keep Siege Breaker on our side, and since it does 2+2 damage, it won't get through Oxygen leak to hurt anyone.

EDIT:  Actually I wouldn't have known about oxygen leak, so I'll discard Mental Divergence and Mass Levitation to destroy it.  Got all excited for a moment there.

[Edit--I just edited the turn above, so that Wrest the Mind hits Final Breath, while also taking out Siege-Breaker.  Let me know if that's not what you wanted.  Also, I factored in the 1 damage on Battle Forged from Fixer.]

Oh, sorry, my post was confusing.  I discard to destroy Fire in the Biosphere, because I didn't know Oxygen leak would be played.  Leave Oxygen leak, kill Fire.

With that gone I'll do the 6 to final breath, 0 to siege breaker (turn to fire and keep below three), and 0 to myself (same)

The cards I discard are Mental Divergence and Mass Levitation.

Options for Turmoil are:

1) Raiding Party:  Pull H-1 crew members from the Deck; destroy one ongoing/equipment card.  The only crew member in the Villain Deck is Mable, though that'd mean you pull another Villain card.

2) Captain's Orders:  Ongoing; lowest villain deals the lowest hero damage at the EV.

Wagner Mars Base

Start of Environment Turn:  Oxygen Leak deals 2 Toxic damage to everyone.  Notable results from this are as follows:

Heroes:  Bunker [18] (takes none from Heavy Plating/Recharge Mode); Haka [16]; Fixer [13]; O-X [18] (no damage, thanks to Ablative Coating); Visionary [7]

Villains:  La Capitan loses her last card (Demoralization) and will flip.  Trueshot [7]; Chip dies; Siege-Breaker [5] (only takes 1 due to DR); L'Epeiste (still dead); Final Breath (also still dead); Battle-Forged [5]

Play a Card:  Oxygen Leak #2.

End of Environment Turn: 1 player may discard 1 card to destroy either Oxygen Leak; it will deal damage (2) to all targets at the Start of next Environment turn, if you do not.

[Edited, after Visionary's Wrest the Mind shenanigans.]

La Capitan:

La Capitan [75]

In Play: Trueshot [7], Siege-Breaker [5];  Battle Forged [5]

Trash: Plunder, Walk The Plank (x2), La Paradoja Magnifica; Chip Final Breath; L'Epeiste

Additional Effects:

* SV: Destroy a Hero Ongoing/Equipment Card.  If there are 3+ cards beneath La Capitan, flip her.

*EV: Deal Hero target with highest hp H-1 Projectile damage.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Start of Villain Turn: Flip?  Yes.  She returns to her Time Corsair side..  La Capitan destroys one Ongoing/Equipment card. (Currently Toolbox, unless someone has something else.)

Play a Card:   Captain's Orders:  Ongoing.  At the EV, the villain target with the lowest HP deals the lowest HP hero target H-1 Melee.

End of Villain Turn:

La Capitan: deals Bunker or O-X net 2 projectile damage [16] (if O-X, then Reactive Plating can deal backlash damage.)

Trueshot:  Deals Bunker or O-X net 2 projectile damage [16] (whoever didn't take damage from La Capitan takes this; same scenario for Reactive Plating)

Siege-Breaker:  Siege-Breaker attempts to deal damage, but Visionary uses Wrest the Mind to deal both instances of damage on Battle-Forged, killing him.  Backlash damage from Wrest the Mind is converted to Fire (via Twist the Ether) and is negated by the Oxygen Leak.

Battle Forged:  Dead!

Captain's Orders:  Siege-Breaker attempts to deal Visionary 4 melee, but is redirected to La Capitan [71] via Wrest the Mind.  Again, no backlash due to Twist the Ether/Oxygen Leak shenanigans.  (Wow, what a turn!)

OK, so with a second WtM now, I could mental divergence Mass Levitation, then WTM Trueshot.  Keep mass levitation up to shut down Oxygen leak damage, and use Oxygen Leak to shut down WtM damage, but I'd need Omnitron-X to timeshift me two turns from now.

You guys want to try that or go a safer, less convoluted route where I still stack the villain deck every round?

The threat would be if I had to destroy more than two of my cards in one round, I can kill Siegebreaker and Trueshot in one round with themselves taking just one shot of 3 damage (if both TtE and Mass Levitation were destroyed), so as long as I can keep both WtM we'd be fine.

Your HP jumped for some reason.

Hmm, not sure.  Your way sounds fun.  The danger would be something like Motley Crew followed by Plunder, which would currently destroy a lot of our stuff, although the rest of us also have a lot of equipment.

I'm not sure I follow the full plan, either.  If you use Mental Divergence on Mass Levitation, wouldn't you just draw it immediately?  Maybe you're planning to forgo your draw?  Are you planning to play Suggestion at some point in there?

Crap.

I forgot Wrest the Mind is Limited.

Another brilliant scheme goes up in smoke.

So I could Mass Levitation to keep us from oxygen leak damage and keep Siege Breaker as a Turret, or I could go for Demoralization, kill Siege Breaker and not lose my power each turn.

So that would be sacrificing my power each turn for 6 irreducible damage, or not doing that for 2 to each target each round.

I think I'll kill True Shot this next Villain turn, then we can kill Oxygen leak and I'll kill Siege Breaker.  10 damage a round would have been worth keeping it all out.

Does anyone actually have any environment destruction? I think Omni-X is the only hero with any environmental destruction in deck, and it hasn't found the Bio-Engineering Beam yet. If we discard to patch the leak on the environment turn, you won't be able to use the fire suppression twist that turn. You can also kill Siege Breaker with the feedback whenever you like.

Trueshot is at 6, Siegebreaker at 2 after the environment damage.  Omni if you can hit trueshot that would be great, drop her to 4 for cptns orders to be able to kill her.

Then Villainous Weaponry is played, then Mable enters play.

La Capitan shoots Omni, he gets retaliation, (hit Mable Please[4])

Trueshot goes, shoots her damage (at+1) to someone.

Siege Breaker goes next and hits Mable for 4 damage[dead] turn WtM damage to fire again, then 4 damage to Trueshot[dead] fire thing again.

Then Captains orders has Siege Breaker attack, have him hit La Capitan for 5 I believe, the fire thing again.

I think this whould work out.

Next turn we kill Oxygen leak and I'll kill Siegebreaker.

Sounds good, phantaskippy.

If we don't fix the Oxygen Leak before the start of the environment turn, Siege-Breaker will be killed by the Oxygen Leak anyway.  But I think we'd rather destroy Oxygen Leak first, if it's possible.

If we can't destroy Oxygen Leak before the environment turn, maybe we can arrange for Oxygen Leak to destroy the Villainous Weaponry?  That would mean 1 less damage to us: have the Leak hit hero targets, then the Weaponry, then the villain targets.

In this scenario, you slightly miscalculated.  If Siege-Breaker hits TrueShot for 4, that won't kill her–she'd have 2 hp left.  You'd need the Captain's Orders to do take her out, which is how I had it calculated in the Villain turn.

I think the numbers that I listed in the Villain turn are probably the best you can do…

I was planning to stay in Upgrade mode one full turn yet, the turn after that I'll have Omni out and either Flak or Heavy Plating and finally be helping you guys. Also, I'd prefer not to give up any equipment these next couple turns if I don't need to, but you guys are more experianced at this so let me know if it's in the best interest for me to discard. You think Flak would be the better move over Omni? With Omni i'd eventually run out of cards, in theory, but Ammo Drop will be supplying some as well.

I was thinking next turn: Omni and Heavy Plating
Round after that: Flak Cannon, and Turret, the i'd get my 2 power uses.Maintenace if i needed it, otherwise, Omni and Flak. 6+1 omni and 3+1 from flak.

At that point, i'd have another 3 cards again in my had so Omni would have another full blast, again paired with Flak unless I needed the healing; repeat....

Let's say you throw down Omnicannon this coming turn, firing it next, You'd deal what, 7 damage?  Plus whatever other power you used?  For the sake of argument, let's say that you'd use Maintenence Unit, to regain HP.  Overall, 7 damage and 2 hp.

If you play Flak/Turret Mode this next turn, you can use Flak Cannon that round for 4 and fire it again the following round for another 4, you're doing 8 damage and gaining 4 hp.

Plus, by the point that you'd get Omnicannon down and ready to fire, La Capitan will be flipped again, meaning that your damage isn't worth much.  At this point, damage now > damage later.

It depends how long you think the game will last.  If it only lasts 1 more round, then this is wasted; otherwise, what you wrote already does more damage after 2 rounds than PlatinumWarlock's suggestion, although you miss the healing.

You might consider skipping the Heavy Plating with your Maintenance Unit.  The Gatling Gun is another good card, which is more cost-effective in Turret Mode than the Omnicannon (3 damage for 1 card instead of 7 damage for 3 cards).  It has the advantage of not requiring a power use, though of course it does compete for cards with the Omni-Cannon.

Gatling Gun vs. Omni is in favor of Gatling this game.  Your +1 out with no reduction by the enemy means lots of 2 damage for 1 card is better than one shot, I'd drop Gatling/plating next round, then flak/turret next.  That gives you 2 and 4 damage, and 2 healing, every round after gets you 3 and 4 damage with 2 healing as long as cards hold up.  That way you start doing damage right when mine drops off.

Omni and Gatling do compete, and as dpt mentioned the lack of needing a power to use it really makes it better.  Omni is great when you have tons of cards to store up each turn with flak and grenade out, but whit this game you want the healing and as much benefit from the +1 as possible

Crazy plan #2:

Omni, if you can heal Siege Breaker to 4hp, he'll survive the environment turn, we leave Oxygen leak alive.

I put L'Epieste on top, so he goes into play, I kill Siege Breaker after Captains orders.  Next round, Omni timeshifts me for Mass Levitation, I play WtM on L'Epieste and use Mass Levitation for my power.

L'Epieste deals a ton of damage with Bunker at 5 cards by then, me at 3, Omni will have a bunch out and Fixer and Haka will have some.

There is something else to consider. I am not saying it is better just pointing out another option.
Omni-Cannon can hold the charge. This means you can charge it and not fire it, wait for a nasty crew member to come out, and take it out in one turn. While you are waiting, you can still hit with Flak Cannon and heal.

This was my original idea before I got the Omni Cannon. I thought it was the better card, but now I see in this case it isn't. If Anyone can allow me to play a card not on my turn, i'd play Gattling Gun right away, skip the Plating and do Flak and Turret next round.

Either way, I may skip the plating anyway. I could throw out External Combustion, but I was saving that in case she got a lot of minions out again. (3 Fire Damage to all non-hero targets; I take 2)

Another thing to consider is that if you stay in Upgrade Mode (or No-Mode), you will still draw cards, and, hopefully, pick up Grenade Launcher. External Combustion and Gatling Gun will allow you to deal damage in Upgrade Mode, while Omni-Cannon will allow you to save the damage until you leave Upgrade Mode.

Hmmm...I thought this game was full of obvious decisions.

We'd all take one more round of Oxygen leak, then Mass levitation would lower its damage by three.  L'Epieste would not get an attack before he was Taken over, and Siege Breaker would die without anyone taking any.  So ideally none.  After I took him over it would depend on what cards the villain deck played.

I think Visionary was going to kill off Siege-Breaker after the Captain's Orders.  (Bunker, you may draw a card for that.)

I think ideally we will leave the Villainous Weaponry with exactly 1HP, so that Oxygen Leak only hits us for 1 (after levitating) but hits Maria Helena for 2.

Oh, and, sweet!

When you did the Envorinment turn you had me down to 12 after the Oxy Leak, but I was at 12 last turn. I believe I should now be at 9.

I want to play External Combustion (All Enemies take 3 fire damage).

I hesitate due to this statement: "I think ideally we will leave the Villainous Weaponry with exactly 1HP, so that Oxygen Leak only hits us for 1 (after levitating) but hits Maria Helena for 2."

Should I do it?

Fixed Bunker's damage and killing off Siege-Breaker.

Oh, and External Combusion won't do anything--Oxygen Leak will reduce your damage to 0.  Play something else.

(Finally going to be doing damage next round. Hopefully lots of it. I can play one card before Turret comes out. At this point i'm thinking Grendade Launcher over Plating. (I'll just have to use one of my powers to heal.)

(On a completely unrelated note Cryo Bot just killed The Dreamer. I thought I was doing pretty good... She had just flipped, but then pulled out one shots to hit all heroes. Now I know not to use Unity, or at least Cryo Bot vs The Dreamer...)

Ugh, I sucked at that one. I probably should have used a mode starting with the very first turn. Seriously, my very next turn i was setup to do some good damage. In all the offline games I've played it's always taken us a lot longer. I thought I had a lot more rounds to get setup. The only offline game I've played in where we did mega damage was when I was Tachyon and Argent Adapt kept letting me fish the "Do x damage where x = the number of Burst cards in your trash" out of my trash. Used that a lot.

Oh, and the very first game I played as the Wraith and did a similiar move where I destroyed all my equipment to kill the villian.

Congrats to the rest of you though. :)

Yeah, it is rough being bunker vs. a villain with that much card destruction.  Bunker really doesn't need to be slowed down any more than he naturally is.

Omni, great game, good you got to finish it after the number of cards you sacrificed, the tanking, and all the times you kept me alive.

Thanks for running the game Platinum Warlock, this was a nasty one to run.

Super fun game, everyone.  Thanks for playing and running.  It was a little nail-biting wondering if Visionary would stay alive long enough to use her Wrest the Mind.  That combo with Oxygen Leak was awesome.

Grim88, I wouldn't beat yourself up too much, sometimes your hero is just going to get shut down.  It's true, once the heroes get rolling, the game can end pretty quickly, and it doesn't always make sense to aim for the very best setup.

OK, So I randomed and got Gloomweaver vs. a hero team that includes Fanatic and Argent Adept. . .

I can reroll the villain, we can just stomp Gloomy ridiculously, or we could try a home ruled Gloomweaver that wouldn't allow Adept and Fanatic to crush him mercilessly.

Anyone have a preference?

I'm up for a home-ruled Gloomweaver.  Does anybody have a good set of home rules they like?  Otherwise, there were several posted in the forums that looked interesting.

I've played a couple times with one I made where the relics are indestructible, and you start with zombies in the trash and H-2 cultists in play, it's rather nasty but would stop Adept and Fanatic from destroying relics before he flips, and the relics just stay in play and make him rather tough.  The start is tough with cultists in play, they can really put some hurt to you.

I'm fine with whatever. Gloomweaver is one of the few villian's I've defeated.

I'll take whatever non-Rook City hero no one else wants. I've played with most of them only once, a few twice.

Very awesome game, guys.

I've never seen Visionary click on all cylinders like that before, and I was sure that you guys were going down after round 3.  Pulling out a win like that is really cool!
