Well, maybe not precisely the right parents, but here we are.

Iron Legacy interrupts a date between Young Legacy and Empowered Luminary at the Temple of Zhu Long. Also, since this is apparently Guise’s Fan-Fic, he’s there too.

Good luck heroes!

Mint with everyone around 20, which surprised me a little. Usually Iron Legacy fights are a bit more brutal, but H=3 helps.

Luminary begins with Timely Disruption which can take out all 3 starting Ongoings, which helps a lot. From there, I flipped him quickly so he would start focusing the devices rather than AoE’ing everyone. This does mean he has his damage reduction which makes things slower, but it also opens him up to the environment’s True Form if the HP balances are right.

After that, Mystical Ceremonies add a LOT to the heroes’ power. Drawing or playing 3 extra cards per round is really strong. I left the Ninjas out once they came out because otherwise they tend to target the Devices.

End game had several options. First is the Death-Laser, which blows through his DR and with enough cards discarded can one-shot him. Second was Guise’s combo of Blatant Reference + Guise the Barbarian + Inspiring Presence to do a lot of damage quickly. Lastly was the one I ended up using, just whittling him down to the point a Triple Cross could take him out.

Seems like this should have been either in Mordengrad or on a Mobile Defense Platform, so that you could get Baron Blade in there.

I don’t even remember what I did, but this was one of the easiest Iron Legacy fights I have ever been in.

Key moment was Luminary nerfing I-Legs on round one.

Well, I did kind of the opposite here. Never flipped him, cause I can’t stand the DR and healing. Wipe out Ongoings ASAP, beat him down to 21 over the course of the first two turns. Luminary plays All According to Plan. Guise has a plan, too (Uh, Yeah, I’m That Guy!). Mysterious Ceremony let me Retcon the Master of the Temple before the Dragon could even come out. Luminary gets out a couple Sabre Battle Drones (double boosted). Lay the beatdown on IL, both drones smack him, second blows up the first, Luminary and Guise both react with toxic damage. He went down at the end of Luminary’s third turn IIRC. Mint, 15/16/17.

Yeah, it was rather an easy Iron Legacy fight. Think it was due to starting with just the cards needed to negate his setup.

Mint, and much closer than it probably should have been due to some reckless play, with Young Legacy actually taking herself out in the final round - so I replayed it, and won handily the second time, with all the heroes in the 20s, and the high and mighty Iron Legacy taken out…by a Shinobi Assassin, of all things!

Strong agreement, TakeWalker. I won on Luminary’s turn on round 3. Things were going so well that I was sure I was overlooking something that was gonna bite me at the end, but it really was that straight-forward.

Guise was a surprisingly significant character in this fight. On the end of round 2 Guise had Iron Legacy down to 3 hit points and with “Guise the Barbarian” in play, he only needed a card that would do one. point. of. damage. Alas, he did not have such a card, so Legacy lived to round 3 and flipped. Luminary won the day with a “Triple Cross” (a card I don’t use that often). Iron Legacy was down to 5 hit points when Luminary played this card, and I wasn’t sure it would really work in this case. It did.
