Voiding alphabetical order

Does anyone know if there's a way to get Sentinels Digital to sort heroes in the same alphabetical order that they're shown in the physical game (e.g. the Hero & Villain Comparisons book)?

Specifically, that means that Doctor Medico lands between Chrono-Ranger and Expatriette (not between Visionary and Idealist), Idealist comes between Harpy and KNYFE (not between Doctor Medico and Mainstay), Mainstay comes between Luminary and Mister Fixter (not between Idealist and Writhe), and Writhe brings up the rear after Wraith (not following Mainstay and before Wraith). I know the Void Guard are buddies and all, but I only expect to see them together when I choose the "by Expansion" option for Group Decks, not the "Alphabetical" one.

I'm guessing the weird ordering I'm seeing is due to some under-the-hood name mangling to avoid name collisions (e.g. Mainstay may be internally labeled as "Void Guard Mainstay" while the Sentinels member Mainstay has an internal label of "Mainstay"), but if that's the case wouldn't it work better to have Mainstay (void guard member) be "Mainstay", and Sentinels-member-Mainstay be "Sentinels Mainstay"?

(On a related but physical-game specific note - why isn't Comodora listed between Chrono-Ranger and Doctor Medico? Putting her in the L's for her definite article seems like lumping Argent Adept, Harpy, Idealist, Naturalist, Scholar, Sentinels, Visionary, and Wraith into the T's for their definite articles. Does Spanish have a different convention for ordering titles than English?)

Per Christopher their full names are Void Guard <name> so that’s why they are listed in that order for the digital game.  The digital version does not have any sorting method.   Though with all the content out now it’s possible they might rework the Multiverse Page.  As to the Physcial dividers I’m not sure but with those ones you at least have the option of ordering them however you want.  

If there is a rework of the Multiverse page, I have a couple of suggestions:

- when I return from an entry, I’d quite like it to return to where I was on the menu screen - the menu is really long now!

- on that point, it might be better if the main multiverse menu had a button for ‘Heroes’, ‘Villains’, ‘Environments’ etc, so there isn’t so much on a single list.

- it would be really cool to get some bio information for the Scions of ObliVeon - these guys have some cool back stories, but currently they only get to appear as a list of cards.

'Void Guard' is literally in the decks' name, so that's how they're sorted.

"The" is literally in the names of some deck, doesn't seem like Handelabra sorts that by alphabetical order, even if Christopher disagrees with it!

That's standard alphbetizing procedure, though. See also "La".

At this point it’s moot since we have no method of altering it.  Considering how large the section is now I wouldn’t mind any option to alter or make it more accessible. 

Except that it’s not.  The cards in the deck don’t use “Void Guard” to refer to the characters, only their main names.  By your logic, Tempest would be listed under “I” for “The Inhuman” and Legacy should be under “A” for “America’s Finest”.

Good news! The digital version does have a three-option sorting method: tap/click on the “decks” icon in the upper-left, then select between “Alphabetical”, “By Expansion”, and “By Difficulty”. Check it out:

Two important ports for clarity:

1. I'm not talking about the physical dividers, I'm talking about the published listing in e.g. the Hero & Villain Comparisons book (see left side of below image).
2. I'm not talking about the digital game's multiverse listing (though, also a valid point of discussion) but about the deck selection interface (see right side of below image). 

Ultimately, whether “Void Guard” is part of Mainstay’s name or not, whether “Indestructible” is part of Bunker’s name or not, and whether including one or the other or both or neither as a factor in alphebetization is “correct” or not, the fact remains that there’s a disparity between the published materials and the digital version. 

So far, it sounds like the answer to “Does anyone know if there’s a way to get Sentinels Digital to sort heroes in the same alphabetical order that they’re shown in the physical game (e.g. the Hero & Villain Comparisons book)?” is either “No”, or “Not without applying scissors and tape to your physical products.”

The sorting I was referring to is the Multiverse tab not the new game selection.  Overall why they count Void Guard as part of their name bugs me too and I commented it on during the video game testing.   I was told that was how Christopher wanted it and they weren’t going to change it. 

I just checked, and it looks like the Multiverse section is sorted the same way as the "Alphabetical" version of the deck selection screen. So, I don't mind expanding from the original topic to include the Multiverse section, since it's fundamentally the same "published-vs-digital disconnect", but it's not something that comes up every time I'm setting up a game and thus the disconnect there bugs me a lot less.

I believe you that it is how it is in the digital game because that's how Christopher wanted it, but that doesn't answer the "why are they different" question. It just raises an additional "why would Christopher want the published materials to be different or, if he didn't, what strange power overruled him?"

(Perhaps "No, really, everyone says 'Hello Void Guard Mainstay, I was just talking to Void Guard The Idealist about an idea for a motorcycle that turns into a robot...' because those are their actual names!" is like "Progeny's head flying into space is not cool!", and there are irreconcilable creative differences that could only be solved by splitting custody of Print vs Digital domains?)

The only person who can answer the why is Christopher and I doubt he will chime in here on it.  You’d probably be better off asking over twitter.
