I know we should get VG next week but I checked my app store and saw this:

c

If I click on the price tag this happens:

Does it mean I could already purchase and use it?

i didn‘t test it as I own Season Pass 1 and 2.

The sales page is up on Steam too https://store.steampowered.com/app/467514/Sentinels_of_the_Multiverse__MiniPack_5_Void_Guard/.  I imagine it’s a preorder of sorts where it won’t actually download until next week.

The update with Void Guard support will not be available until Tuesday. I've fixed it so the IAP won't be available for sale until then too.

Yep, even Amazon, usually the late bloomer.  Just played my first game.  Fixed Point has some interesting interactions with several of these guys, and oddly, most of them bad.  Fixed Point + From the Brink or Regeneration is pretty sweet.  Fixed Point + Bored Now is bugged (report submitted).  Also Regeneration in Vengeance mode is ridiculous.  Went from Mainstay at 1 and everyone else at 5 or less to Mainstay at 4 and Medico in the high teens.  I had everyone beaten but Greazer, who wasn't even hurt, and figured I'd just win when Mainstay went down.  Then Mainstay didn't go down and Greazer got karate chopped for 18.  Weird team, weird game.

I discovered a wonderful interaction today while trying out digital Void Guard.

Give Writhe Twist the Ether.

When he uses the power that lets him do extra damage, but sacrifices the Shadow Cloak, just change it all to melee. Or cold. Or whatever. It only checks to see what type of damage has been dealt, not how many instances of damage, and between TTE and the Cloak itself, that's base 9 damage to one target! :D

Medico with Scholar is about as hilarious as you think it is, and by hilarious I mean I almost took out Gloomweaver on a single Scholar Turn.

Woo! Glad they're out! :D

Very minor nitpick, but any one else bothered that instead of sorting them alphabetically by their hero names (Doc Medico, Mainstay, etc) they're all lumped under V for their team name?

I brought it up after receiving the OblivAeon content and seeing the dividers.  However, that is part of them as given to them by Christopher.

They did one stream in beta where it didn't work that way, and the Southwest Sentinels and Void Guard were ambigious.  Terribly confusing.

I agree, VG Medico and Scholar are crazy. It was one of the first teams I tried after the release.

Don't get me started on the names.

If you listen to certain people who are very close to the creation of these characters The Visionary should be filed under T!

At least that makes it easy to select them all as a team, but yeah, did not quite expect to see them all under V. XD

Considering they currently ignore 'The' and 'La' when sorting names alphabetically, I'm sure it wouldn't be super hard to add "Void Guard" to that list and still preserve their names as 'Void Guard <X>' for purposes like logs.

Or at least give the option somewhere, so Christopher can do whatever the heck he wants and the rest of us can be right. :V

One weird thing about the Void Guard being individual heroes rather than a Sentinels variant is that you can play a team with the Sentinels and all of the Void Guard Sentinels. I’m not sure how you rationalize that.

Also, I discovered in a test game that they’re all Nemesis-es (Nemesi?) to each other, which makes Vaccination much less attractive when Dr. Medico is playing with his teammates.

There are examples in comics where you see a similar situation with the X-men.   Overall, it’s a Multiverse so there are all kinds of reasons they might fight together.
