Whole lotta bottom-of-the-deck action!

Skinwalker Gloomweaver vs. Fugue State Parse, Rogue Agent KNYFE, Super Scientific Tachyon, Extremist Sky-Scraper and Prime Wardens Argent Adept in the Temple of Zhu Long.

High variability depending on whose deck bottom you like to use--I think each game will be very different.

I was a bit nervous on the Skinwalker's front side....HP getting kind of low for the heroes. Then, Argent Adept used Cedistic Dissonant to get rid of the Pouch of Bones, and he flipped not long after. Once he flipped, Tachyon used Hypersonic Assault. Every. Single. Round.

Parse didn't use her base power much, because Extrasensory Awareness was quite valuable. Sky-Scraper was switching between Tiny and Normal, mostly. Lots of Links. KNYFE was pretty punchy, and Arget Adept did his usual thing of letting everybody else do their thing again. Tachyon was MVP with Hypersonic Assaults and huge Lightspeed Barrages.

KNYFE ended it with an Uppercut.

At the end, Parse 10HP, KNYFE 9HP, Tachyon 5HP, Sky-Scraper 6HP and Argent Adept 13HP.

Fairly comfortable mint, AA up near full because of the Accompany on Inspiring Supertonic.

Yeah, this was pretty straightforward. But agreed that it will be very variable thanks to all the bottom-decking. Mint, everyone alive.

This is an incredibly good team--turns out being able to stack the bottom of your decks and then play cards from the bottom of your decks works really well.  Gloomweaver lasted all of 4 rounds and got to deal damage on 2 of them.  Tachyon drew two Hypersonic Assaults and bottom-decked a third.  Parse got a bajillion cards in her hand and started playing two Targeting Arrows a turn.  And with KNYFE and Sky-Scraper around, with Parse and AA feeding them extra plays, 150 HP goes by really fast.  Gloomy went from about 30 HP on his front side to dead in a round and a half.  And that's with about 10 points of healing and a Lightspeed Barrage that overkilled his front side by about 10 HP.  On the last round, KNYFE blew up a Primed Punch, played two For the Greater Goods and an Energy Burn, used two Battlefield Experiences and the power on another Primed Punch, all with +2 damage... it was disgusting.

Gloomy did put out a Profane Zealot in the middle of his last round, so I just went with irreducible damage--in the form of a Compulsion Canister played on that Zealot, which finished him off.  Killed by his own cultist--highly apropos given that Gloomy would have killed the cultist given a chance (not that he could, his damage was still shut off for the third round in a row).

This game could have been called “dealing from the bottom of the deck” or “bottom feeders.”

Comfortable mint. As Mindwanderer said, this is a team with great synergy, since you can often put whatever you want on the bottom of a deck and then play it. The main drawback for me was stacking Argent Adept’s deck twice and then forgetting what I’d put there, so both got discarded when I used Tachyon’s power on him.

Gloomy got some nasty relics out early, which didn’t matter because the Adept blew them up with Dissonance. He tried to play Vast Following once, but Parse Buffer Overflowed it.

Sky Scraper gave the Adept and KNYFE micro-assemblers. The Adept was too busy to use his, but KNYFE used hers to equip both damage boosters, so she was doing +1 energy and +1 melee, and frequently playing cards that did both kinds of damage, like Battlefield Experience or Amplified Combatant. This also gave her a power that did straight damage when I didn’t feel like gambling on a card draw using her base power.

Rather than go with targeting arrows, I went with multiple Critical Multipliers and cards that discarded, like Snap Decision and Recompile. KNYFE was getting +12 damage on her next attack on a regular basis.

Gloomy was Hypersonic Assaulted the turn I flipped him, got do damage on his flip side once, and then I smushed him. KNYFE was doing the vast majority of the damage, but Sky Scraper’s tiny power was meaningful too, and the Adept’s ability to utterly nuke any villain target regardless of HP in one turn because of Dissonance meant they didn’t need to spend any time on anyone else.

Mint, Gloomweaver finished himself off after Tachyon had hit him for 77 from a Lightspeed Barrage. Critical Multiplier when you can discard as many cards as you want thanks to Rites of Revival is phenomenal!

WHOSE BOTTOM WILL YOU USE? :V

This was a fun, if somewhat challenging mint. The team is made of good enough heroes that they don't have too much to worry about, though. They can brute force it in the end. V:

Mint.  Took a bit of headwork but it was otherwise easy.  I didn't bother with Parse's base power and opted to manipulate Gloomy's deck the whole game so nothing bad came out.  KNYFE spent the first half of the game digging out her equipment, and the second half punching a zombie god in the face.  Tach was on Hypersonic duty and milled her deck like nuts.  Sky Scrapper just cleaned up things that KNYFE didn't kill for the most part.  Adapt just did his usual "Someome uses a power, someone plays a card" routine and threw out many vernal sonatas to keep Tach on Hypersonic duty after blowing up his harp to handle a ton of relics coming in when deck manipulation failed.

I kept the harp around because I knew that Dissonance was the best and fastest solution to relics. So I made a point of getting out sacrificial instruments so I could keep the harp to play Dissonance.

Near mint but I ended with parse pulling 3 ninjas out to deal the last nine damage to gloomy.  The near was because I used a couple rewinds.

Mint, but it was looking a little dicey at points, and health was getting low. Don’t think I played the most efficient deck bottom game, but it worked out...
