This week we have advanced cosmic Onmitron vs Youngest Legacy, F6 Absolute Zero, Fanatic & Setting Sun Ra in the noble Megalopolis.
As you may have guessed from the heroes there is a lot of damage flying about in this game. It's just a good old-fashioned race. I started like a tortoise and realized that I could risk the hare. Also, the environments turn 2 and 3 plays kinda ... messed with my plan so just threw my plan out and started hitting. 3 turns later I came away with a *mint*. Even if the pappz turned up to ruin my fun.
Also re-reading the intro now...it kinda gives the game away.

I got a Mint, which I barely ever get! Damage races are definitely my jam. :)

This was the fastest Omnitron II beatdown I have ever participated in. :)
I guess my only question is: first round, what do you do with Fanatic? I didn't want her taking extra damage for no reason, so I just had her double-skip. Things turned out all right, I just wonder if there was a more efficient play option.

I double skipped on Fanatic’s first turn as well.

All aboard the double skip train. She was also the target of impending casualty for that reason.

Mint.
Advanced Cosmic Omnitron didn't pose too much of a problem for the heroes here. Imbued Fire plus Isothermic Transducer plus not caring about the status of Absolute Zero's HP meant lots of damage to the robot.
Legacy 15HP, Absolute Zero 11HP, Fanatic 17HP and Ra 14HP.
As to Fanatic's first turn, I went ahead and played Divine Sacrifice to speed along the destruction of the components in the first round. In a poetic way, it was Fanatic's second Divine Sacrifice at the end of the game that dealt the final blow to Omnitron.

Mint.
I double skipped with Fanatic on the first turn as well. I didn't pull out Imbued Fire until the second turn in case of Adaptive Plating Subroutine, but then I figured "eh, why not?" After that it was just beating down Omnitron as fast as I could. Aboslute Zero played Modular Realignment with no equipment in the graveyard just to burn some more damage on to Omnitron and destroyed all of Legacy's Ongoings at the end for extra damage.
By far, the easiest game I've ever had against Cosmic Omnitron, let alone the advanced version. After last week's insanity, it was a nice break.

Mint due to a favorable deck.
Sometimes I do practice games before trying the One-Shot. It gives me a chance to get a feel for the cards and possible strategies, especially if the villain or some of the heroes aren't ones I play often.
All three of my practice games kicked my ass. In the first one, he got a Terraforming Card on his flipped side that drew two Sedative Flechettes (12 damage to every hero) and then a drone explosion (six drones, including several of the "damage is proportional to the number of drones" ones). My heroes dropped from mid-twenties to an average of 5 HP in a single round. The second was a little better, but again a drone explosion and a Sedative Flechettes combo did me in (this time aided by a Electromagnetic Pulse). For the third practice game, I tried to keep him from flipping to avoid the drone explosion and he just beat me down with components.
So I was very nervous about the actual One-Shot until I read everyone here having an easy time. And--voila! No drone explosions. No Sedative Flechettes at all. A very straightforward beatdown because of a favorable deck.

Mint, with Ra down and everyone else at 1.
That was close.

Comfortable Mint. Just piling on really getting as much damage out quickly as possible. Took a couple of hits here and there (particular Absolute Zero who was going for full on damage) but nothing I couldn’t handle.

Near mint due to a big "Oopsie" in the first game.
Was doing a slow start strategy the first game due to not knowing when the second Singularity and Flecettes would arrive, but still got Omnitron down to about 25 hp with an Electro-Pulse explosive safely Chastise'd, Fanatic with her Armor out and 5hp, and AZ around 20 hp. Legacy and Ra were about to drop but I figured I could make it. Then I absentmindedly tapped the No to "Do you want to deal Fanatic 2 damage to keep Chastise in Play?"
Electro go boom, along with my Mint >.<
Second game I played a much more aggressive game and won with everyone around 13hp

Every time I try and load this one shot, the iPad app crashes. So the title is vaguely appropriate.

Finally got to play.
Near mint for me. First game I did what I usually do with Cosmic Omnitron - try and keep it on the front side to avoid a drone apocalypse. Cosmic Omnitron is really tough without either some way of faking out the “component” card text with Omnitron X or the Omnitron IV environment, or serious villain deck management. This team has neither, so they all died.
Second game I came back here and read how other people do it. And yes, a straight damage race works here, even though it’s high risk and a bit suicidal given Omnitron can easily play 5-6 drones in one turn on the flip side. This team has lots of damage, particularly since we’ve got 2 variants that trade standard powers for straight damage (Legacy and Absolute Zero). Imbued Fire bumps that up, though I used Fire Blast on turn 1 instead of Imbued Fire because I needed the extra bump to get 7 damage to destroy the components.
I had no need to Chastise the Electro Pulse Explosive, because Omnitron was down to 8 HP by the time it came up.
It’s still a strategy that could have resulted in a fast loss. It only works because Omnitron has a relatively bad start, playing Technological Signulartiy and Terraforming on turn 1 when they don’t do anything, only has a single Assault Drone in the early deck, and doesn’t play Sedative Flechettes or the other Singularity until fairly late.
