Challenge Omnitron vs. Omnitron-U, The Adamant Sentinels, and Chrono-Ranger in Madame Mittermeier's.

Fairly easy Mint for me. I probably dragged the game out a little beyond what I needed to by using damage reduction from Idealist and Chrono-Ranger, but it worked out pretty well. It made the Flechettes round hurt a lot less.

MMFFCC was fairly helpful, it did plenty of damage to Omnitron and sometimes helped me get Adaptive Plating reset back to a type I wanted. I saw and left out both copies of Adaptive Plating, there's plenty of damage types to go around here.

I won the round after I saw the All-Seeing, who helped me get a couple extra card plays out of the Sentinels.

Imagine this one will turn different quickly based on how one uses Chrono-Ranger's environment destruction.

Final HP: Omnitron-U 12, Sentinels 3/3/3/9, Chrono-Ranger 11.

Mint for me. I was sad to see my equipment get wiped so early and was a little concerned when I lost Wraith and Medico. But, once All-Seeing popped up and it hit me that he would combo well with the with the Sentinels one-shot heavy deck, the match improved a great deal and brought the fallen Sentinels back. Also got to use Omnitron-X's Self-Sabotage to blow up some of villainous Omnitron's components. Love it when I can do that.

Omintron ended up being taken out by a You Won't Believe Your Eyes! being comboed with Chrono-Ranger's Ultimate Target + base power.

Final HP: Omnitron-U 6, Sentinels 6/6/2/5, CR- 3.

Mint, but not quite as easy as others. I ended up getting more hurt by the double Unstable Midway into You Won't Believe..., and focused some Temporal Grenades and Terraforming Beam into cleaning up the circus. Omnitron itself was a breeze--the Challenge mode made no difference as there were never multiple Components on the table, and the few Drones that came out not only got wrecked in short order but got recycled thanks to Adamant Wraith.

The worst play of the game was Omnitron's, though. Sedative Flechettes: tore straight through my Ongoing-based setups. I was worried there, but managed to pull it out. Everyone in single digits, but alive.

Bumbled my way through a Mint. Alzrabar giving the Sentinels constant card plays was a big help. I got lucky with the Flechettes, in a manner of speaking, because I hadn't gotten Sentinel Tactics out by that point, so I went from being decently set-up to getting continual extra powers. Probably should have used those grenades to focus fire the environment down, as the final round saw Omnitron playing five cards off a Terraforming, but hey, I came through all right!

In my practice game, I got Omnitron down to 10, but the carnival got really out of hand and then Omnitron terraformed it to play 8 cards.  I didn't survive that.

Near Mint.

I used a rewind near the end when I forgot about Adaptive Plating Subroutine, and my best laid plans were about to go awry. Ah, well.

I think Maze of Mirrors is in the running for mt least favorite card in the whole game. Boy, is that frustrating.

I never saw Alzarahbar...wonder if I shuffled the environment in a different order than others somehow?

All heroes ended at 2HP. Freak Show really saved my bacon, environment-wise.

What environment cards you see is likely to depend on whether you destroy the Carousel or not. I left it out the entire match and bypassed the nasty Terraforming that Takewalker mentioned. Never saw Maze of Mirrors.

I left the Carousel out the whole time, too...I'm sure I did something else weird to change the order of things though.

I don't think I ever destroyed any environment cards--used the Temporal Grenade to take out the first Adaptive Plating, becuase I have a tendency to forget about its effects (and I DID forget when the second one came out. Yeesh.)

...this one-shot is making me envision Lee Pace as Chrono-Ranger.

Game one: So I destroyed hall of mirrors and Freakshow once never once saw an All-Seeing. So all I can say is it was mostly unhelpful whilst slowly smacking omitron down to single digits to be wiped in a single turn by 'You won't believe your eyes' and 'runaway midway'. I am confused as to how you all seem to have done so well.

Game two: Again didn't see an All seeing until I was all but dead. The main misplay was when we were all on 1 hp I didn't have Medico out to heal everyone with shooting range. Take away from this is I am just not as good at this as you guys.

Guess this is a good week for me.

Wow, I never saw Maze of Mirrors or Shooting Gallery. I'm going to have to replay and take notes to see where those would have come up in my setup. I'm guessing one or both got discarded.

Mint, Baby! Everyone at around 10 HP. Idealist and Medico died, but they got better.

I think 'carosel of horror' and the wheel of misfortune causing the decks to cycle so quickly (and big top turning up at inopportune times) just introduced to much randomness into the deck to reliably be able to say what will turn up when. Stupid random number generator not giving me useful cards ... grumble grumble

Mint, everyone at 9-11 HP. Very fun game, but not as difficult as I thought it would be. Never really in danger at any point, even Sedative Flechettes was just annoying. I also left out the Reactive Plating, the Sentinels use so many different damage types that it's basically irrelevant. Madame Mittermeier's is an unpleasant place, but Omnitron's beam power and Chrono-Ranger's grenades kept the most dangerous cards off the table (like Hall of Mirrors, for example.) Omnitron played Terraforming turn 1 on an empty board, but I never saw the second. (It probably got discarded.) The Adamant Sentinels were the work horses here, but Omnitron-U is also quite a pinch hitter.

Mint, but only really by the skin of my teeth... ended up with pretty much the entire environment deck in play. Got him to 40 he quite easily, but then had a real slog getting him down with Hall of Mirrors out and no real opportunity to get rid of it. Eventually Omnitron was finished off by You won’t believe your eyes (8 damage at that point!) as well as literally everyone apart from Dr Medico.  His last device, his big bomb killed itself thanks to Hall of Mirrors on his next turn. Lucky really - I’d have been in a tight spot with only one hero left who could deal damage...

Straight forward mint. I didn't have the trouble everyone else did. Flechettes came out before I had anyone set up decently. Adaptive Plating stopped Chrono-Ranger a few times, but I got his Neuro-Toxin Dart Thrower out to do Toxic Damage, so it wasn't a big deal. Omnitron-X's Defensive Blast goes right through Adaptive Plating and like others, Writhe cycled all destroyed Drones to the bottom of the deck. There was never more than one component out so Omnitron's challenge mode was not an issue.

The only environment card I destroyed was the Caurosel of Horror and Idealist quickly discarded 2 cards to get rid of Freak Show. When All-Seeing Alzrabar came out, I discard every single turn from whoever had a lot of cards (usually Sentinels or Chrono-Ranger) and played off the Sentinels deck. Along with Sentinel Tactics, the damage came off quickly. I had all of the Sentinels signature cards out as well and when Omnitron was around 50 hp, I started throwing out Bounties.

I never saw Maze of Mirrors or Shooting Gallery. In the end, it was just a lot of smashing and shooting. Everyone was at mint except Chrono-Ranger, who was only down by a few points.

Mint, but it was a close one. I got lucky for a while - no Sedative Flechettes or Terraforming ever dropped, which was really good because there were seven or eight cards in the environment deck at any given time and it would have been bad. I made the mistake of dropping Jim's grenades on the first turn to prep, and then Omnitron immediately blew up all my equipment, and then I never saw another Ongoing or Environment kill for the rest of the game.

By the end, I lost Chrono-Ranger, the Idealist died twice, and the only reason that I survived was that I kept Hippocratic Oath out, and the environment kept forcing Doctor Medico to first hit everyone for 1 damage, and then hit himself for 5 damage, and both of those turned into healing. I was healing roughly 15-20 HP per turn, and at the end of the game everyone was still under 10 HP.
