Filled out.
Excited for the prospect of a Switch version (prefer it to my phone as a portable gaming device), and glad to see the prospect of Story Mode is still hanging around.
I'd expect story mode would be a minimum requirement for a console release, so it gives the wider audience (re: the majority of people who have never played Sentinels) a chance to learn/understand the game without a demo or being walked through multiplayer by someone else.
But story mode alone would sell this game on a console for me.
I'm guessing they're not going to make it for NES, which is my only console system...
Feedback sent!
Story mode would be a plus, but not enough for me to buy the game all over again. I've already spent more money on it than on almost any other game I own (and I got it on sale). I think there's probably a market for Switch, though--re-releases like Super Meat Boy have shown that people are plenty likely to buy even old games on it. And Switch would allow touch controls. I'd hate to try to play Sentinels with a gamepad.
Some of the questions were phrased a little oddly, as if the PS4, XBOne, and Switch were the only consoles in existence. Clearly those are the only ones on the table for this, but it was still a bit weird having to claim that I own only one console.
I will pay for the whole package again if its Story Mode on my Switch. I would spend so many more hours playing this game I've sunk so many hours into...
It's funny, due to the vagaries of my activites today, I got the survey link through the digital game instead of through e-mail, which would have been the case normally on other days. :) And they didn't have an option for it!
I'm really really reeeeeeeally hoping that Story Mode won't be console-only, as ILU GTG and Handelabra but I'm not buying a console just for one game and I will be sad at missing out on the story bits.
@TakeWalker: I technically saw it on the SotM Reddit before I got around to checking my email.
Don’t care about the console part, but the prospect of Story Mode alone would be enough for me to back this project.
I’ve been wanting story mode for a looooong time. I want it so bad it hurts.
An easily portable Sentinels that doesn't eat up my phone battery on a system that I'm currently shopping for games on? AND story mode? Yes please.
But in all seriousnes, I was secretly hoping that Handelabra would consider making the jump to include consoles. Especially the Switch, since the Indie market looks to be good there. I filled out the survey last night, so let's see how it goes.
But yes, Story Mode on previous versions as well, please. :)
Got the survey, filled it out. I already own the physical game, Steam, and Android versions. I don't think I will buy it again on a console, especially since I haven't touched a console in months.
Also I think there wasn't a question asking if we'd like Story Mode to come to the non-console versions. I am probably reading too much into that but it has me worried. I would be fine with Story Mode being another mini-pack dlc kind of thing but I am not going to buy a console version just to get story mode : /

I already have SOTM on my platform of choice (iPad). I think it would be fine on the Switch, and I would make a small contribution to any Kickstarter, but I’m already so invested in my iPad version that I’d just be playing that instead.
But with availability on more platforms, I could bug more of my friends to play.
Yeah, that's why I made my own worried comment, since me and another fellow noticed there was no Story Mode question if you didn't put that you own a console.
I too wouldn't mind buying Story Mode as a DLC if that's what's needed for funding, now that you put the idea out there.
We are operating from the assumption that everyone wants story mode on the existing versions so there's no real reason to ask that :)
originally there was a question about story mode for owners on other platforms but we couldn't find a good way to word it. something like:
"if we did a kickstarter for console which included story mode, but you already own the game on steam or mobile and don't want to buy it again, would you kick into the kickstarter just to ensure story mode was created and therefore comes to all version of the game."
as you can see, it was a bit unweildy. there were like 3 if/then statements and we didn't want to muddy it up more than it already was.
Unweildy it may be, but my answer is YES!
Seconded. that's why the general "would you back this" were maybes for me, but all of the "would you back this with Story Mode" were Yes.
exactly. that whole page was all about gauging interest in buyers, but also from fans who would help out either way. it's also why it's all "for a console you own" and not separate items for switch, PS4 and XBONE - part of the goal of the survey is to figure out which ones we should do at all, then which one first if we do more than one, etc.
Ok, that’s where my confusion was. I’m probably not going to back it on KS (because of budget reasons) but I’d probably buy it for Switch. Although, I’d prefer if I could move my purchases over.
Which I know isn’t realistic, but I’ve already put a lot of money into it.
I would be definitely willing to kick some money to help ensure Story Mode was created, though I admit I'd kick in more if there's a pledge with something of use for us non-console peeps.
For me my Android tablet IS my console nowadays, more or less.
yeah, if we go the kickstarter route, we would definitely try to find a way to have it be worthwhile for those who don't want a console version but do want story mode. what that might look like is still unknown.
Well mark me down as a "I will help kickstart story mode but don't need a third copy on a console" :P

I would buy a console version, because I do enjoy couch co-op games in general... but I get what people are saying about spending enoough on the current games to justify buying it another time. That said Steam, Android, Ios, Ps4, Switch (which I don't have yet), Xbox in that order is my priority. After Oblivaeon the things I want most to see available are Story Mode, and Workshop (assuming Cauldron and maybe even Earth Prime are off the table as of now.) Hope that helps. Depending on finances I might even chip in more than I should/need to help make things happen, as I did with season 2, because truly good games from the "little guy" companies deserve my support.
I've already spent more money on sentinels (tabletop, videogames, and cauldron/SoEP) than i have on my next two biggest spenders combined (though not by much). So i'm in the whats another 50-75 dollars for a consol game/kickstarter pledge.
I have zero interest in a console version - I already already purchased base game + expansions for two platforms. Story mode would be interesting, but nothing I need.
I would definitely buy a Story Mode DLC for Android. I guess there's also tracking the Story Challenges but maybe they were hoping to roll that all into Story Mode.
Heck, I'd probably pick up Swaptober/Animal-verse/Tactics/RPG (cosmetic) variants if they ever existed...and of course Earth Prime,Cauldron...
Basically, I realised today that I'm probably a year or so behind on my Sentinels budget, if there were more things to pick up there ;) I sadly don't own a console (there's maybe a NES somewhere?) - I'd buy things on Steam if there was Workshop support, but my tablet is probably more powerful...
