When Iron Legacy was released, it was neat seeing that all the playable Parsons had unique dialog with him, even though he's not any of their Nemesis. So it got me thinking what other neat interactions there could/ought to be in the video game and I figured I'd start a thread on the subject. Without further ado, this is what I'd want from the game in a perfect world:

1. Team dialog: If all the Prime Wardens are on your team, it'd be cool to have the leader say something to note it. Same with Freedom Five or Dark Watch.

2. Let the others talk: Things like having Setback or Expatriette throw out some banter if they're in the line-up. Or Unity and OX. Maybe Tyler has a problem with Maia's darker variant. Have the other heroes inching away uncomfortably from Dark Visionary. Lots of possibilities here.

3. Environmental dialogs: Akash'Bhuta being on Mars is straight up weird -- maybe the heroes should notice. Or have Tempest comment on Voss returning to Dok'Thorath to end the civil war. Have DW Fixer call out Zhu Long when you go to his place.

4. Story battles: If you're taking all the Prime Wardens up against Akash'Bhuta, they could throw in some references to that particular storyline in the dialog. Ditto Dark Watch vs. The Chairman or Freedom Four vs. Baron Blade.

That's my short list. What do you guys want to see?

Note here that I'm not talking about technical stuff or game mechanics so much, but what you'd like to see to have the video game flesh out more of the game's lore and world.

I think I remember one of the Head Guys in Charge basically saying that one of the big hurdles with Story Mode and more nemesis dialogue was Christopher having the time/energy/inspiration to actually write it.

That said, I admit that if we don't have any nemesis dialogues between the villains-turned-heroes in OblivAeon and their usual selves, I'll be the teeniest bit disappointed. Simply because I enjoyed the Iron Legacy>Legacy dialogues and Fright Train>Freedom Six Bunker was just outright hilarious.

Oh, yeah, I'm not really asking or expecting them to do these -- I just thought they'd be neat.

Ahh, well if that's the case, I'll say I also agree on the hero to hero commentary for notable pairs, and also more hero/villain things where the characters have a connection that isn't explicitly a nemesis connection, like Wraith and the Chairman or Naturalist and Akash'Bhuta.

Yeah if the nemesis dialogue was extended to the hero's rogues gallery would be cool. It would also get across the fact that this is a shared universe

Or dialogue in-game when a hero gets incapped. E.g when Expat gets incapped while Setback is in the team.

Also, extra special dialogue for when the game setup perfectly matches a scenario that appeared in comics.

Obviously there were many events where there were more than 5 heroes present, but maybe just the principle players.

In-game viewable stats

win/Loss/Abandoned counts for each villain and environment

win/loss/abandoned/incapacitated counts for heroes. Biggest hit delivered and received.

I recommended something to Handelabra a while back, which is related to the team recommendation in the first post. Some of the things below are also new.

If we want to play as a team, instead of placing them one by one, there should be a button to immediately add them with a leitmotif and logo flair. We get new music (o sounds), a quick button to get the team we want quickly, and more art for logos. Hopefully we can also get some more info in the "Multiverse" section as well.

A special page where we can mix and match all the Vengeance Mode loss screen songs.

Dialogue at occasional events DURING a game. If Expatriette gets hit, Setback should shout something.

Yeah, I basically want all the dialogue while playing games with notable interactions. Like Tales From the Archive only official and in text form.

Also the latest MTG digital thing having voice acting for planeswalker cards has now made me envious that we only have VA for Argent and Guise's character card powers.

I'd still love an interaction with Gene-Bound Bionaut coming out while Venox is in play. I mean, it'd be sad, but :C

A button to quick add the F5, DW, or PW has been on my wishlist from the beginning. I’d also add one more button for a customizable team which could be set by each player so you can quick-pick your favorite heroes (fun, and also useful for testing stuff or completing self-designed challenges)

Or at the very least, an option to go back to the New Game screen pre-populated with the heroes/villain/environment you had last chosen.  I hate it when I accidentally choose the wrong variant or team order, or want to rematch with just one small change, and have to pick everyone all over again.

Yeah.  I did that when I was working on Visiionary Unleashed.  I'd accidentally chosen Vanilla Vanessa.

I'd just like the "Back" button to go back to the main screen and not the lose screen off of the character select when you've finished a game. :B That's not behavior I ever expect, and it just doesn't make any sense to do.

As I suggested on the KS page, I'd really love to have a checklist of all the challenges in Challenge Mode I've successfully completed. I have a pencil and paper version of them when playing with my group (as well as the team we chose and date completed), and think this would be a really cool addition to the video game as an added incentive to tackle tougher matchups. Maybe one for Advanced mode as well.

Also, since we've been getting more and more variants it would be really nice to have a tab or button somewhere to select a variant, rather than cycling through them all with each click.

The big feature that I'd like to see is to be able to re-roll with randomize but lock in certain decks/numbers so that they stay the same. For example, being able to say that (H)=4, or that I want to play against Citizen Dawn with The Naturalist as one of the heroes, but don't care what else comes up.

In multiplayer, I'd love to see players other than the host be able to select the villain/environment and to reorder heroes

You can do this already.  If you don’t like what you got the first randomize remove the elements you didn’t like and click Randomize again.  As long as you have less than three heroes it will maintain everything else.

The problem with that is that if you then want to re-roll, you have to basically remove everything. Or, as you mentioned, if you like 3 of the 4 heroes selected, you can't just randomize the fourth one.

It'd be more of a UI/UX convenience than anything else.

Honestly, I prefer everyone coming to a verbal agreement of what they play. If everyone could just swap it out, you know we'd get those players that just things out or remove a deck before playing just to be a troll.

I'd second(third?50th?) the lock a hero/villain/environment option during randomization. The current randomization workaround just isn't intuitive nor user friendly nor, honestly, a very good one. Why not just add a Lock/Unlock button and just randomize those items not flagged as locked? Seems like it'd be just as easy as well to add an "H" setting, default to 4 (the mid-point), so the user can select the total number of heroes they want.

I know this thread isn't about mechanics changes, but I would really love the ability to add custom decks *cough*Cauldron*cough*. That is a kickstarter that needs to happen.

If you want improvements to the randomizer faster than we can prioritize & implement them, now you can do it yourself (or find a programmer to help)!

We've published the specs for launching Sentinels from any app/website. Sentinels Sidekick can do it now, too.

I don't know if that will ever happen. It's not just about dragging and dropping artwork and text, Handelabra has to code the card interactions/rulings, as well as all of the art elements outside of the hero's deck. So basically, the only way I'd see it happening is if we were allowed to implement mods, and the community would have to do it from scratch.

I believe the only way to play with Cauldron decks is through Tabletop Simulator.

They mentioned adding Steam Workshop in their KS but that was a rather late stretch goal not reached.  So if it becomes a thing it will only be Steam specific.

Or analog if you have the physical cards. I've played a bit with Tabletop Simulator. Even began work on scripting the Cauldron cards specifically to try and automate as much of the book-keeping as possible. I'm still no where near done though.

I understand the complexities of what I'm asking. There's no way it could be something as simple as drap and drop. I'd imagine it would need to be a set of APIs, and a means to bundle completed decks and import them into the game. Not simple, and maybe not doable. But it would be nice.

A feature I’d love to see added since my memory is terrible, would be a list of cards that have been revealed within a round/last few turns to be added to the dropdown list of active effects.

I run into this issue with Parse’s cards and at MMFFCC all the time where I’ll really struggle to remember what cards I’ve revealed on what decks. With the addition of Freedom 5 Bunker I will probably need to rewind in many 4-5 hero games where I use his power because I’ll probably have forgotten at least 1 card I revealed by the time I finish revealing cards.
