People were gunning for Sky-Scraper, but looke like The Visionary Unleashed is our next unlock.

Any ideas?  Is The Dreamer involved?  I guess we'll see!

Possible conditions to try:

Incapacitate Dark Visionary in a game (getting rid of her dark spirit).

Play all of Visionary's Ongoings in a single game.

Story elements from The Letters Page:

Tachyon (and rest of FF) dealing with the Block after Vis’s cover is blown.

Fight involving Citizens Hammer and Anvil, Dark Vis, and Dark Watch. Expat takes out Anvil while Vis fights Hammer in the Void.

AA finally helps free her during Cosmic Contest (so possibly involving the Enclave for the Jansa connection).

Figure I may as well post logs here? The attempt I made was against Gloomy in the Realm of Discord with AA and Dark Visionary; AA incapped Dark Visionary and killed Gloomweaver on the same turn. It was a fail.

I attempted Dark Visionary + Dark Watch against Hammer & Anvil and others in The Block, but lost. Dark Watch sucks.

I tried Dark Visionary et al vs H&A et al, beat them (narrowly; Visionary killed Hammer, ExPat killed Anvil, and everyone died but Visionary.

Then I beat Deadline at the Enclave, and killed her with Argent Adept and Captain Cosmic after having played all of her ongoing cards and used all of her powers and damaging one-shots. Cocoon left play the turn she died.

Then CC and AA went on to win the fight.

No unlock.

What if she has to use turmoil on EVERY deck? Then have AA kill her.

Turmoil on every deck has merit, but Handelabra said a long time back that every variant was unlockable through reasonable gameplay, meaning that you would never have to take an action that was counterproductive towards winning a game.  (Now, we frequently take counterproductive actions to reach game states necessary to unlock characters, but the unlock requirements themselves don't require self-sabotage)

It's possible that that policy has changed of course, but I rather doubt it.

Wouldn't not playing bounties with Chrono Ranger generally be considered fairly counterproductive towards winning the game? And after thinking about it, couldn't the same also be said about not playing any equipment cards with Haka?

The first round of fall Variants all needed a specific environment to unlock. Chrono-Ranger needed a specific villain.

Could this be a continuing thread? If so, what villain would be appropriate? "Win a game with all of Visionary's ongoings in play" was along the lines of what I expected for this unlock, but just doing that seems very simple and obvious.

You couldn’t play Bounties on targets besides Ambuscade which is certainly what might happen in a normal game where you only put out “By Any Means” and “the Ultimate Target” on just Ambuscade

Not playing bounties on anybody other then the villain (Ambuscade for his unlock) is not that counter productive, particularly when you consider that you could kill Ambuscade before you even see bounties that would be generally be played on other targets.

On the subject of Turmoil on every deck. I tried a game against Dreamer in The Time Cataclysm in an attrmpt to do that but Dark Visonary did not survive long enough to allow that to happen.

Went in with Legacy, Best of Times Chrono, Wraith, Haka, and Dark Visionary but things kind of got crazy. I ended the game with Haka and Legacy the only ones standing at 4 HP.

Not doing something productive is different from doing something counterproductive. In my unlock of CR I didn’t do anything special while playing other than choosing who would deal the finishing blow more carefully than usual, and I got the unlock because in this particular game I had no reason to play bounties on other targets. Haka might never draw his equipment, or always a better card to play. But deliberately incapping one of your own heroes with damage from another hero is not a choice that a player who isn’t looking for the unlock would make. It is therefore impossible to discover the unlock on accident.

XPW AA doesn't need Instruments at all. Instruments are, in a way, better than vocalize. There's no reason to NOT play and use an instrument unless you have no other option.

Back to Visionary,

No unlock in a game against Team Villains (Citizens Hammer and Anvil were there) in Freedom Toiwer and Realm of Dischord.

I used both Visonary for FT and DV for RoD.

Data:

Ambuscade i n the Block vs. OX, Knyfe, AA and Dark Visionary.

Visionary did all the things. At the end of the game she had ar least 1 of each ongoing in play except for cacoon. She used all the powers on the ongoings at least once and she delivered the killing blow.

No unlock.

Perhaps she needs to be in the cacoon as well. I will make another pass at that.

I got it done on my first try, mostly thanks to Driving Mantis and abusing the Greazer/Setback/Plague Rat combo to make Greazer and Plague Rat hit each other for extra damage, but just pulling off the victory isn't enough - I didn't get the unlock. However, I didn't exactly have Vis well set-up or have her land a killing blow.

Well, I did win that game, thanks to Nightmist redirecting damage around.  I did finally get the "That Was Close!" achievement, though....

Citizen Hammer's incap art certainly does suggest Dark Visionary should beat him as part of this unlock, but trying this battle again to try to give her the killing blow on him is not my idea of a good time.  And forget trying to get her set up with lots of ongoings in a Vengeance game.

Via Steam/Twitter (same user), we have an unlock at Enclave of the Endlings. "Gray Lord" used Gloomweaver and had a match where they played all of Vis's cards at least once and had her get KO'd by regular Argent Adept before the game ended. They also posted a log on the Steam forums:

I won an iOS game last night with AA and Dark Vis in the Enclave vs. Ambuscade. I was trying an "Argent Adept heals Dark Visionary a lot" strategy (not that it was terribly successful in that overall, I think he managed about 5 or 6 points total although Dr. Medico did a bunch more too), so it's not just the Environment and those two heroes being present (if that's indeed part of it). I didn't particularly think that it was specifically helpful in the discussion, but since we have an unlock with certain overlaps, I figured it couldn't hurt to mention it.

I think it has to be the Enclave. From The Letters Page:

No unlock: I beat Gloomweaver with Dark V, XPWAA, and base Legacy in the Enclave. DV played all her Ongoings, and XPWAA incapp'd her.

Suspect it needs to be base AA--this was a test, after all.

So, to summarize the current working theory:

Win a game against Gloomweaver in the Enclave of the Endless, with [Dark/Any] Visionary and base The Argent Adept on the team. Visionary must play all her Ongoing cards over the course of the game. The Argent Adept must deal the incapacitating damage to Visionary.

"One of each of her unique ongoiongs" is probably a more accurate phrasing, similar to XPWAA's unlock

Failure: DV, PWAA, TLT, and FS Parse vs. Ambuscade in the Enclave.  Vis did play all her ongoings (though we now know that's not required), and Tachyon incapped Vis (which we also know doesn't matter).  Jansa did not enter play.  So I'm guessing that either not seeing Jansa or using the wrong AA variant (or both) was my problem, although I'm at a loss to explain Dandolo's fail above.  Perhaps she has to play one or more specific cards or deal a certain amount of damage?

My next attempt will be to have Visionary play only Demoralization and direct damage cards, with default AA, and stall until I see Jansa.

Failure report: Base Visionary, AA, Legacy, and AZ against Gloomy in the Enclave. Vis played all of her Ongoings, and then AA incap'd her with the Scherzo. The heroes won shortly thereafter via Relic trash. Jansa did enter play, but AA Sarabanded her so she wasn't aroudn at the win.

Points of divergence I noted:

Win by Relics

Base Visionary, not Dark.

Of the two, I think Dark Vis is more relevant.

Next up is swapping in Dark Vis, and swapping in PW AA--but that's specifically to rule him out, because my current guess:

Win a game against Gloomweaver in the Enclave of the Endless. Dark Visionary and base The Argent Adept must be on the team. Visionary must play each of her unique Ongoing cards over the course of the game. The Argent Adept must incapacitate Visionary.

Yeah, I was trying that out in my game.  Gloom at Enclave, versus Dark Visionary, standard Argent Adept, standard Ra, and standard Wraith. I'm pretty sure I got all Visionary's ongoings out at one point or another, and she got incapped by a cultist, but no unlock.  Jansa came out and I got rid of her, among other Endlings.  Knockout via HP on Gloomy, by the way.

I only have a partial log. I had to close out and come back to pick the game up later, so it overwrote half my log.  I dunno if it's worth anything or not but…

Oh, I missed that one.  So Gloomy isn't necessary, ongoings aren't necessary (or at least not all of them).

Jansa was present at the end, I think. Visionary used Turmoil only on Ambuscade and Enclave. Mostly used Mass Levitation until Argen could clear up the environment.

And another failure from me: Dark Vis, normal AA, TLT, F6 Tempest vs. Ambuscade in Enclave.  Vis played Demoralization, Decoy Projection, and all her one-shots, but no other ongoings.  Tachyon executed her right before we won.  Jansa vi Dero was in play from round 2 to the end of the game.

Another thought: The event this happens in is the Cosmic Challenge.  Bolnerap mentioned (Haka) killing all the Endlings.  Could that be a requirement?

Edit: I just went through the few logs we have.  Not all of the Endlings get destroyed in every success. Jansa vi Dero is sometimes destroyed and sometimes not, but always comes out.  Visionary is allowed to kill things, and clearly there's no card she's prohibited from playing.

Failure data point, iOS so no log:

Dark Vis, standard AA, and Naturalist vs. Ambuscade in the Enclave.

Dark Vis double skipped every turn, only had a Brain Burn played to little effect due to Slamara the turn she came out.

AA dealt the damage that incapacitated Vis, Jansa present at game’s end, as were most Environment cards thanks to Naturalist shenanigans. This was specifically to test for if Vis needed to actually do something for this one, which seems increasingly likely.

Edit: exact same scenario, let Vis play this time. Wrest the Mind, Mass Levitation x2, Mental Divergence, and Foresight entered play, used Wrest for Sonic Mine shenanigans, but others still in play when AA incapacitated her. Two Decoy Projections and several one-shots played at some point. Jansa in play at end. Unlocked.

If we have some specific test cases, I can try them on my Steam account tomorrow.

Unlocked! (Still on iOS so no log)

I played as close to exactly the same game as I did earlier, except I only used 3 Heroes (Leg, AA, DV). So he's my guess for the unlock condition:

Win a game in the Enclave of the Endlings with Dark Visionary, base Argent Adept, and exactly one other hero.  Dark Visionary must be incapacitated and Jansa vi Dero must have entered play at least once.

EDIT:   I just saw a poster above me who said that his unlock didn't see Jansa and that he had 4 heroes.  The most significant difference between my two plays is that in the failed unlock, I played Telekinetic Cocoon on AA's turn and immediately destroyed it.  On my unlock, I kept the cocoon up for a few turns. So here's an altered guess:

Win a game in the Enclave of the Endlings with Dark Visionary and the Argent Adept.  Dark Visionary must be incapacitated and Telekinetic Cocoon must be in play for at least one full round.

Here is what I believe we know so far.

Villian = Doesn't seem to matter.

Environment = Appears to require Enclave of the Endlings (no unlocks anywhere else yet)

Team = Appears to require Argent Adept & Dark Visionary (no unlocks without them yet)

Spcial requirements = Dark Visionary must be incapped and heroes must win the game. Unlock occurs on win.

Other Missing elements?

Ongoings: Ongoing card poweruse requirement? Cacoon requirement? Twist the Ether?

One-shots: Psychic Maelstorm Requirement (DV seems to be shown in the art)? Cerebral Hemorage (art again)?

Failed unlock. DV, AA, TLT, and Ra vs Ambuscade in Enclave.

AA dealt final blow to DV. Most ongoings had been played; was missing the one that lets you destroy ongoings. Only played her AOE damage one shots.

No log, I’m afraid. I’m not sure what data is relevant here.

Oh, now that’s an idea (no time to check our logs right now).

AA, Dark Vis, Enclave, etc. like we’ve been discussing.

Card play req’s: play the cards “showing” Dark Vis in control or otherwise referring to her? Mental Divergence, Psychic Maelstrom, maybe Brain Burn or Suggestion? Do we have logs ruling this sort of thing out? I don’t remember playing Suggestion in my unlock game, but Slamara was out for a while and Ambuscade clears out his trash frequently so I may have just missed it.

Failure. Ambuscade vs. Dark Visionary, Base Adept, TLT, and Ra in the Enclave. AA incapped Visionary. Jansa was present. Did not play all of Visionary's ongoings. Did play Mental Divergence. Not sure what I'm missing here.

What if there is another answer? We've seen other Variant Unlocks having a prerequisite with "First, defeat regular Omnitron with regular Omnitron X and Unity. Then..." or "Win a game with Haka as the only un-incapacitated Hero. Then..."

Perhaps we're looking at the wrong thing. Maybe the unlock condition for this part of challenge is actually much easier:

Defeat a Villain in the Enclave of the Endlings with Argent Adept on the team and Any Visionary Incapacitated.

What we're missing is, for example:

First, Defeat Citizens Hammer and Anvil with Dark Visionary on the Team.

Thoughts?

I'm pretty sure that I've only played three games since the hunt started, all three in the Enclave vs. Ambuscade with Dark Visionary and vanilla AA on the team, so if there's a preliminary game requirement, it doesn't actually require a different villain/location than what we're already looking at - it could still be something as simple as "win a game with Dark Vis active" as a prelim, though.

DV, AA, TLT, Ra, Hunted Naturalist, Enclave. Played a ton of her cards this time, both a ton of ongoings, as well as a lot of the cards the feature DV. Successful Unlock on mobile.

Only differences I can think of between this game and last (unsuccessful) game:
-Villain was Deadline
-Visionary played every unique card in her deck as opposed to having every unique card in her deck enter play (e.g. Timeshift)
-AA dealt last blow to Visionary instead of self damage as last blow.

AA, DV, EW Absolute Zero, and BoT Chrono in Enclave, vs. Deadline. Played lots of Visionary's card's; specifically: Mind Spike, Psychic Maelstrom, Precognition, Prophetic Vision, Suggestion, Telekinetic Cocoon, Demoralization, Mental Divergence, and Decoy Projection. Finished with a Brain Burn, which incapped her. No one else was incapped. Jansa was in play, but not while DV was up (and was eventually removed from the game).

Finally got it with DV, AA, Fugue Parse, TLT, and Ra against gloomweaver in the enclave. unlock happened upon victory. AA incapped vis near the end with Jansa in play and all her ongoings besides cocoon, and wrest the mind (which had entered play and been destroyed a few times). Used parses power and a bunch of critical multiplier pluses to bump damage up and mill through DV’s Deck. I’m thinking the unlock is combo of the cosmic contest (Have Jansa in play) and VU’s base power which is based around ongoings in play. Having all her ongoings in play at the same time as Jansa and getting the dark version incapped is representative of her getting full control of her powers with no dark passenger around. All that being said here’s my guess as to the unlock condition

WIN A GAME IN THE ENCLAVE OF THE ENDLINGS WITH DARK VISIONARY AND ARGENT ADEPT ON THE TEAM. JANSA VI DERO AND EACH OF VISIONARY’S UNIQUE ONGOINGS MUST HAVE ENTERED PLAY AND JANSA MUST BE IN PLAY AT THE END OF THE GAME.

AA killed DV in the same round that one of the Endlings killed Gloomy.

The only cards DV played were Precognition, Cerebral Hemorrhage, Psychic Maelstrom, and Mind Spike, so only one-shots.

Decoy Projection and Prophetic Vision put into play by Slamara (not sure if that should count differently than playing them yourself or not).

I just had a failed unlock where DV dealt 157 damage, including hitting Gloomy for 16 in one shot, so I'm pretty sure it's not just that. Visionary Unlock Fail Damage - Pastebin.com

Most of that damage was to villain targets since she had Demoralization out all game, but some was to environments.  Most of it was psychic, but I did use Twist the Ether to change some of it to Infernal.

AA took her out and then the next turn Parse killed Gloomweaver.  Jansa was in play for the last round.

Something that’s hard to tell from logs rather than screenshots: for those of you that unlocked, what was in play at the end? Usually conditions that require you to win, rather than unlocking in the middle, either require that a thing not happen or that the game end in a particular state. AA not being incapacitated might be it, but I wondered what he had in play at the end, and if anyone had any environment cards other than Jansa in play?

The only thing I can think of that I did differently was Dark Vis used at least one of her incapped powers, the one to put an enviroment card from the trash to the top of the deck. She was healed at least once by AA, granted card draw AND card play at least once by AA, and was incapped at the end of the round. She used Twist the Ether, Wrest the Mind and redirected damage at least once with Psychic Decoy but never played Cocoon.

Finally got it. Not sure what I did differently; I had the exact same team line-up, and almost the exact same strategy.

I did make sure to use AA to allow Visionary to Draw, Play, heal, and use a Power, and used Sarabande to destroy Mental Divergence. That’s really the only difference, though; Tachyon KO’d Visionary right after Jansa came out, and she stayed until the game was over.

I just unlocked her along the same lines: one of each type of AA's music, and all of the possible effects (draw, play, power, heal, damage), on Visionary, then incap her (with Legacy, this time). Jansa was in play for the incap through the victory. And it was Ambuscade.

And Vis had maybe one Twist the Ether of her ongoings in play.

The only thing I think is that we're overstating what's necessary, or missing some other condition, but yeah, I think this may be a form of:

Win a game in the Enclave of the Endless with Dark Visionary and base The Argent Adept on the team. The Argent Adept must use at least one Harmony card, one Rhythm card, and one Melody card to affect Dark Visionary, and must cause Dark Visionary to draw a card, play a card, use a power, take damage, and heal damage over the course of the game. At the end of the game, Jansa Vi Dero must be in play and Dark Visionary must be incapacitated.

AA allowed visionary to heal, draw a card, use a power, play a card. Not all his songs were out and the drum was the only instrument in play.

I like the idea of causing Visionary to play a card, use a power, draw a card, take damage, and heal, but my unlock shows that doesn't all have to come from Argent Adept.  He only ever let her use a power, healed her, and dealt damage to her.  However, if you include the other heroes, all of these things happened.  Omnitron-X let her play a card (or at least put into play), Grandpa Legacy healed her and let her use a power, and Parse let her draw and play a card.  No one hero did all 5 things, but between them all 5 happened.  And checking one of my fails, no one ever let Visionary use a power in that one.

My guess is:

Win a game with Dark Visionary and base Argent Adept in the Enclave of the Endlings.  The other heroes must cause Dark Visionary to play a card, use a power, draw a card, take damage, and heal.  Dark Visionary must be incapacitated at the end of the game.

Possibly something about Jansa too.  I know she doesn't have to still be in play at the end, because she wasn't in mine, but has anyone had an unlock where they didn't see her at all?

Edit: Some people have said they unlocked without seeing Jansa, but I haven't seen an unlock log without her (although we really don't have many unlock logs on here this time).

I'm up to being a guinea pig.  As I'm not totally sure on the other conditions, what do you think I should do about the following?

  • Who should I have incapping Visionary, given AA can't incap with either of those cards
  • What else do I need to do with Visionary?  Play Ongoings, except for the Cocoon then get incapped?
  • Is there anything else I need to worry about apart from having the Environment be The Enclave?

Tried using Greatest Legacy and Omnitron-X to grant healing, draws, plays, and power uses to Dark Vis. AA didn’t use any helpful abilities on her at all. No unlock.

Update, another failure: tried using only Inventive Preparation (both Perform and Accompany) and Rhapsody of Vigor on Dark Vis as requested. AA did use other songs on other heroes. No unlock.

I checked most (although not all yet) of the logs on here, and this applies to all of the successes and none of the failures so far! This might be it, but we just need to add the other already established stuff.

Win a game with Dark Visionary and base Argent Adept in the Enclave of the Endlings.  Argent Adept must target Dark Visionary with the effects of a Melody, a Harmony, and a Rhythm.  Dark Visionary must be incapacitated at the end of the game.

Finally got it!  I focused on having AA use as many different songs as possible on DV--probably overkill and others will have to narrow it down.  I believe he used one song on her every time he used a power; he definitely used at least one song on her a round. He never did damage to her, but he did grant her a power, two plays, a couple of draws, and 1 point of healing.  However, I had DV skip her play phase every turn, so the only cards she played were:

  • Inventive Preparation plays Twist the Ether.
  • Slamara puts Prophetic Vision into play.
  • Slamara puts Wrest the Mind into play.
  • Alacritous Subdominant plays Prophetic Vision.

Jansa vi Dero was in play at the end, but we've seen that doesn't matter.  Lots of Endlings were in play, and only a couple had died.  She never dealt damage to herself or anything else with Wrest the Mind (it went on a Sonic Mine, which hit her first).

So I think we're on the right track.  It's probably win a game in the Enclave of the Endlings with (Dark?) Visionary and (normal?) Argent Adept on the team.  Visionary must be incapacitated.  Argent Adept must have used (some subset of songs) on Visionary.

Just need to figure out what subset that is.  Unfortunately, that will probably require some trial and error.  I'll go through the logs and see what I can spot.

Edit: I'll just use this space to track what I find.

Unlock log 1: Used Alacritous Subdominant and Inventive Preparation to grant multiple plays, Counterpoint Bulwark for a draw, Rhapsody of Vigor several times, Syncopated Onslaught to boost her damage once, and dealt damage to her with both Onslaught and Scherzo.

Unlock log 2: Well, here goes the theory: Used only Alacratous Subdominant to give her two plays, damaged her three times with two plays of Scherzo, and dealt her quite a bit of damage from two plays of Syncopated Onslaught (boosted).  That does make all three types of song, but it's only 2 uses each of 3 songs.

Unlock log 3: One Inspiring Supertonic to give her a power, four Inventive Preparations to grant plays, one Counterpoint Bulwark for a draw, then killed her with Scherzo.  7 songs, at least one of each type.

Unlock log 4: Even less.  One Inspiring Supertonic, one Inventive Preparation, and three Scherzos.  I think that's enough successful logs, so now I'm going to check the fails to see if any of them meet: Win a game in the Enclave of the Endlings with Dark Visionary and normal Argent Adept on the team.  Visionary must be incapacitated.  Argent Adept must have used at least 5 songs on Visionary, including at least one Melody, Harmony, and Rhythm.

Edit 2: Nope, that's not it.  Again, the first fail log in this thread meets those criteria.  Back to the drawing board.

Edit 3: Since I had her play only 3 different cards, I went through the logs looking for them.  Twist the Ether appears in every success but also appears in Tskami_ek's failure.  No other Visionary card appears in every success.

Apparently, there was a hint on the stream tonight: "The most basic thing that you have assumed: are you sure about that?"

Thoughts: could one of these not be necessary?

1) Win a game.

2) In the Enclave of the Endlings.

The most basic thing would be that Visionary has to be in the game. But probably not that.

Also, I’m an idiot: rjc917 mentioned that the first fail log in this thread didn’t meet his test–but it was in the Realm of Discord. So my previous theories are back on the table, for now. Still need to check the other failures in the right environment.

It could theoretically unlock on a loss if it's an "X must never happen" criterion.  But the only one that seems probable might be "AA cannot be incapacitated" and I can't imagine they'd let you unlock on a "sudden death" loss if that was it.

Going through fail logs:

  • >G #59: PW AA, used only Rhythms on Vis, did play Twist the Ether (on AA)
  • >G #69: Used only one Rhythm on Vis, did play Twist the Ether (on villain)
  • >G #70: Used only Rhythms on Vis, did play Twist the Ether (on KNYFE)
  • >G #72: Used only Rhythms on Vis, did play Twist the Ether (on Vis)
  • >G #80: Used only Rhythms on Vis.  Going to stop checking for Ether unless there's no other clear explanation....
  • >G #104B: Used no songs on Vis at all.
  • >G #104C: Used only Harmonies and Melodies on Vis.
  • >G #104D: Used only one Rhythm on Vis.
  • >G #104E: Used only one Melody on Vis.
  • >G #014F: Used no songs on Vis.
  • >G #105B: Used no songs on Vis.
  • >G #120: Used only Rhythms and Melodies on Vis.
  • >G #121: Used only one Melody on Vis.
  • >G #124: Used only Harmonies and Melodies on Vis.

All right, I'm stopping here.  I think this is a good theory to work on, it looks really solid.  What we need to do is rule out our assumptions, then.  Anyone who hasn't gotten the unlock yet, please try:

  • Visionary instead of Dark Visionary
  • Prime Wardens AA instead of regular AA
  • Visionary not getting incapacitated

Enclave of the Endlings seems clearly required, and I'm now 95% confident that using one Melody, Harmony, and Rhythm (Perform or Accompany doesn't matter) on Visionary.  So please try violating all of the above, then only two of the above (3 times), then if still no unlock, just one of the above.

Just because we always get the unlock at the end of the game and not during doesn't automatically mean we need to win though.  The condition could be "Complete a game..." instead of "Win a game..."  I don't know if they've ever done a condition like that, so it seems unlikely, but with the hint about questioning our most basic assumption, it could be.

Yes. In my game, Vis played only 4 cards, and that wasn’t one of them. The only card of Visionary’s that was played in each of the successful logs was Twist the Ether.

Did Visionary have a lot of cards out or in hand when she went down? That can cause lag.

Here's a failure log.

Per the request, I played with basic Vis, PW AA, and kept Vis up.

I hit her with each song that had a picture of her on it, each type of song, and she had all her ongoings except levitation, and the one where you can make someone hit themselves that I'm blanking on.

Jansa did come out for one round, then AA horned her away.

Jeysie already tested using PWAA and with DV staying up, but it’s nice to have confirmation. The next checks would be normal AA and normal Vis and have her stay up, and PWAA and normal Vis but have her go down.

I suspect the rule we’re missing is that she doesn’t have to be incapped (making the rule "DV, normal AA, Enclave, use one of each type of song on DV), but there are the variants to test more carefully first.

Edit: whoops, ninjaed. OK, so the incap is probably necessary. Or we don’t have the song rule quite right, but the stream suggested that wasn’t our problem.

Okay, I'mma try this.

Regular Visionary, PW AA, Legacy, and Fanatic vs Amuscade at Endlings. Hit Visionary with a Rhythm, a Harmony, and a Melody. Visionary not incapped. No unlock.

Regular Visionary, Regular AA, Legacy, and Expatriette vs Blade at Endlings. Hit Visionary with a Rhythm, a Harmony, and a Melody. Visionary not incapped. No unlock.

Dark Visionary, Regular AA, Legacy, and Expatriette vs Blade at Endlings. Hit Visionary with a Melody, a Harmony, and a Rhythm. Visionary not incapped. No unlock.

Looks like the incap is a requirement, so the next-most-obvious thing to remove is the Dark variant.

All right, then my guess right now is: Win a game in the Enclave of the Endlings with Dark Visionary and normal Argent Adept on the team.  Argent Adept must use a Melody, a Harmony, and a Rhythm effect on Visionary.  Visionary must be incapacitated.  Argent Adept must not be incapacitated.

Some can also test this using normal Visionary, just in case.

Given that games 2 and 3 were played ATTEMPTING to do the same thing, I'd say it seems like DV is required.

Okay, I've tested this as stated, only using PW Argent.  No unlock.

Tested using this method, but in Insula Primalis.  No unlock.

Ran it completely as stated (Enclave, Dark Visionary, normal Argent, used all song types on Visionary, incapped Visionary, Argent survived, won).  Unlocked.

I can't see what element could possibly be extraneous at this point…

Could the extraneous thing be the different types of songs? Different song types can produce different effects, can’t they? (I apologize, but I’m not near my cards ATM).

So could it just be AA does a list of things to DV, but it doesn’t have to be with the different song types?

I.e. if you can give her a play, a power, a draw, heal her, damage her, and destroy an ongoing (I did not give damage boost/damage reduction on my unlock, so I know it’s not that) but you can do it with just a harmony and Melody for example, maybe that’s enough?

I did unlock: Ambuscade vs Grandpa Legs, DV, AA, and Omnitron-X in the enclave.

Had AA do all the things listed above, and I specifically (even if they’re extra at this point, I want to include for completion sake) used all three song types, did the list of things above, destroyed mental divergence, and twist the aether was in play at the time of incap. Jansa came out but was not out for even a full turn, killed with bioengineering beam. Vis did damage, but no kills. I think that’s everything significant.

Well, did my own test anyway and now my unlock is gone. But I managed to eliminate part of the scenario. Based on info so far, my proposition for the unlock is:

Finish a game in the Enclave of the Endlings with Dark Visionary and normal Argent Adept on the team.  Argent Adept must use a Melody, a Harmony, and a Rhythm effect on Visionary.  Visionary must be incapacitated.  Argent Adept must not be incapacitated.

I played against Dreamer in Enclave of the Endings with DV, AA, F6 Tachyon, Omnitron-X and RA: KNYFE. After AA hit DV with each of the different types of performances, KNYFE incapped DV and then Tachyon took out the Dreamer. I lost, but got the unlock.

So winning is not a condition.
