Recently I noticed I hadn’t yet unlocked the redirection misdirection achievement.

Only 5 redirects needed? I’m sure I could do much better than that!

So off I went with Xtreme Prime Warden Fanatic, Naturalist, The Sentinels, Setback and Tachyon to face off against Baron Blade in the Enclave of the Endlings.

After a fair bit of setup I ended up with:

Fanatic hitting Tachyon with Absolution (fire)

  • send that to Doctor Medico with Synaptic Interruption
  • who is protected by Mainstay’s Human Shield
  • The Naturalist’s Indomitable Force takes it from there
  • Setback becomes the target from his Uncharmed Life
  • back to The Naturalist via his Threatening Stomp
  • Setback then put Tachyon in the Wrong Time and Place
  • her second Synaptic Interruption sent it swinging towards Baron Blade
  • who tried to pick off The Idealist with his Elemental Redistributor
  • but she was protected by Bloogo
  • who in turn was covered by Immutus
  • but Fanatic was focused on killing Tachyon’s spirit
  • her final attempt to get away got the last Synaptic Interruption focused on Writhe
  • whose Caliginous Form slithered out the way of Baron Blade
  • but the sneaky Baron had another Elemental Redistributor and finally the poor Idealist ended up taking the hit

Phew!
I make that 14 redirects.

Anyone else come up with some crazy redirecting shenanigans? Or are we able to get higher than 14?

HOLY SHENANIGANS~!

I'd basically given up on the idea of getting that achievement since it just seems so... complicated! but WHOO BOY! have you got a real hum-dinger right there

It used to be a lot more difficult, but nowadays there are a lot of controllable redirects, so it's actually pretty easy to manage.
