All units, be advised we have a code 240 in progress, possible code 242 at city hall. Officers are reporting multiple enhanced suspects in conflict. Full use of deadly force is authorized. All available units, report to the scene to assist. Repeat, deadly force is authorized!
Citizen Dawn (Challenge) is wreaking havoc in Megalopolis, and Rook City Wraith, Xtreme Prime Wardens Fanatic, and America's Newest Legacy have to put her down.

Wow. Wooooow. Mint, but with Legacy down and 3 HP between Fanatic and Wraith. D: That was a skin-of-the-teeth moment!
Also, isn't it odd that we're getting a One-Shot with a variant that hasn't been released yet? I guess all the people who guessed Xtreme Fanatic as the next unlock were right!

Near Mint. I made the mistake of not using End of Days in the first round and got kicked in the teeth by a Devesating Aurora that my Infrared Scanning Devise couldn't spot. Almost won anyways, but my Police Backup wasn't very bright and went after bigger targets once Dawn was almost dead.
Tried again and kicked solar hiney.

Mint.
I went with the straight up "Attack Dawn almost exclusively, worry about nothing else" route (though I did pop Summer).
Take Down was played after a bit to keep the field from getting too full, and then I followed it up a round later with End of Days. This let me worry about mostly just the on-board damage rather than any nasty wipes. In a damage race, I still got put down to 4 HP on all heroes before Dawn was knocked out.
It's lucky that after her Devastating Aurora, she only really plays chumps for a bit, including Spring which flipped her back after just one round immune.

In multiplayer I noticed Extreme Fanatic is replaced with normal Fanatic. Perhaps this is a bug but I thought I would check here before submitting a bug report in case it's intentional.

Near Mint, basically the same as Lupus. End of Days (after a Throat Jab first round) slows Dawn down, mostly through destroying Channel the Eclipse, so that Wraith’s eyepiece can control her deck and Fanatic and Legacy dish out damage. Now, if only if thought of that in my first game.

Comfortable Mint for me without anyone dropping out of double digits. And yeah, opening the fight with Throat Jab and End of Days pretty much makes this one a foregone conclusion. It's also a great showcase for just how insanely dangerous Xtreme Fanatic is when she's damage boosted. The amount of damage she can dish out to Dawn with what's normally AoE attacks is just brutal!

I ended up playing through it again and it turned out much better the second time. (I wanted to play around with Fanatic's power and be able to rewind it.) I think the main difference was using End of Days to kill Drawn to the Eclipse and actually utilizing the Eyepiece. (It's powerful deck control, but I rarely use it.) I even got her to double-flip!

Oh, right, I meant to mention this:
I suspect that, had the community not pegged the unlock for XPWCC within two days, this one-shot would have featured base CC in the Enclave of the Endlings, much as last week's featured base AA in Insula Primalis. (Last week, MigrantP's official "the community has discovered…" message didn't go live until after the One-Shot went up, though we were zeroing in on it.) The Fanatic preview (and I believe it isn't the first time that a One-Shot has previewed a variant, though feel free to check me on that) felt like a reward of sorts.

I posted about the condition being discovered as soon as I saw it was discovered (and my post is in fact the next one after). It wasn't delayed by the one-shot or anything like that.

Not what I meant. I meant that the One-Shot was probably arranged to nudge us toward the unlock condition, but that that wasn't necessary for XPWCC because of how quickly it was identified.
My intent regarding the timing was to say, because the One-Shots presumably need to be set up a bit in advance, I figure that even though we were already close to XPWAA, the One-Shot with Gloomy in Insula Primalis was already locked in beforehand.
By contrast, this time, by the time the One-Shot was being set up, XPWCC's condition was probably already discovered.

Had to settle for a Fine with this one. I wanted to save End of Days until later on, but getting her intial ongoing out of the way is probably more valuable as I see everyone else did it that way. As long as Asault and Battery weren't out together, I could mostly ignore the citizens, but then Citizen Truth and Citizen Anvil come out along with some painful environment cards and I get stalled for a few turns. Fourth game I finally won, but it was heroes at 3, 4 and 3.
I did use Sacrosanct Martyr to set up a nice 1 round smackdown. Hmm, on that note, Divine Focus is even better than normal for XPW Fanatic. Need to try again and not suck so bad this time. :)

Near Mint for me, for exactly the same reason as others: tried to hold on to End of Days for when things got really bad, but yeah, using it up just to get rid of Channel the Eclipse so the Eyepiece can do its work is 100% the right move. Piece of cake the second time around.

Honestly, my first attempt I held onto EoD until the second RwtD came into play.
If I'd remembered to Throat-Punch her first, I would have won that attempt, too.

So, people recommend using EoD and throat punch on first turn?

That’s what I did, and it was a pretty easy Mint for me.

Throat Jab is optional, but there's no reason not to use it. It'll save your team some damage, but honestly, once you have the Eclipse taken out and Infrared Eyepiece on the table, you should have hit points to spare.

Also, what else should you play first turn, knowing you're going to slatewipe the board?

I didn’t wipe the board first turn, I waited until Targeting Innocents came out. Conveniently, this was right before Dawn brought out Devastating Aurora, so the timing was perfect.
I got an easy Mint, with everyone at 14 hp and Smoke Bombs protecting everyone from damage (except Fanatic, who did a 4-point Martyr on the last turn, bringing her down to 10.)

Mint.
Same experience as others--using End of Days right off the bat is key. Then Wraith can freely use the Infrared Eyepiece to avoid all of the nasties (Truth, Anvil, Devastating Aurora, etc.) Using a Utility Belt, Rook City Wraith's base power was also helpful.
Rook City Wraith 16HP, XPW Fanatic 18HP and Young Legacy 14HP.

I'm all for EoD on the 1st round in general anyway as it evens the playing field. If you hold it for later use, you end up wiping your own stuff out along with the villain cards and I hate having to do that. For me EoD is either a 1st turn card or something to save for villains that can dump a ton of cards out all at once (e.g. Infinitor, Akash'buta, Matriarch, Voss) and I need some way to counter that. Dawn can be tough, but evening the playing field early is generally the best move - esp. when you can get out Infrared Goggles and block her worst cards from coming out later.
