Challenge La Capitan vs The Sentinels, Termin-Nation Unity, Expatriette and Fugue State Parse in te Ruins of Atlantis.
So many crew played. .she had everyone out by the time I got severely wiped. Dont expect to keep much stuff around. Even less than a normal La Capitan game. When I lost, she had flipped and had eleven cards udner her.

Mint with only Expatriette incapacitated, but definitely a tough battle.
I’d suggest having Parse switch to deck control as soon as possible and prioritizing destroying Mable and La Paradoja Magnifica first. Also, I got a lot of use out of Writhe’s Caliginous Form, Sentinels Tactics, and Exploit Vulnerability.

Thank you–that cracked it for me. I still played suboptimally, but pulled through. Fine.

Mint for me. Made sure to use healing while the chamber was out so none of my heroes were incapped. There also seems to be a typo, in the description it says mini pack 1, rook city, time cataclysm and vengeance are required.

I'm definitley not minting this. I'm in very dire straits, despite following the above advice.
I can't keep Mable down, and i haven't been able to take out the ship.

First two tries failed, but both were soooooo close.
My best laid plans have gone awry thanks to Leaking Rooms.

Third try did it.
Caliginous From is great (no surprise), and I was glad when the Bee Bot took out the Pillars of Hercules before too many cards got played.
Unity ended up incapped, but everyone else was standing at single digits. Except Writhe, who was at 13HP, because he's awesome. The French swordsman kept trying to hit him for big damage, but always ended up hitting Maria instead.

Comfortable Mint for me here, with everyone up and in good condition (not counting the fact that Mainstay had been down three times but kept getting back up, of course!), though it certainly took a while. I always love a good La Capitan fight, and this one certainly didn't disappoint. Make sure to drop Mabel immediately, and the ship right afterwards and you should be right on track. Also, get Hippocratic Oath out as soon as possible, if you're going for the long slog, you'll definitely appreciate all the healing. Unity also really gets to shine in this one, as using Reconfigured Beebots to deal with La Capitan's horrible ongoings is the way to go.
I didn't actually use any of Parse's deck controlling powers, since Fugue State Parse's base power is just so incredibly good, especially once she has snap decision out.

Mint.
I fully expected to lose when I gambled on Syntactic Analysis on the Sentinels instead of just shooting Mable with an Impossible Shot, and lost showing no damage cards. Despite that, I managed to stabilize very well and was able to keep some great cards in play for pretty much the rest of the game, after an inital Plunder. Hippocratic Oath kept everyone alive through a LOT, Parse used her base power a lot but switch to deck control to toss some of the meaner cards left in the deck into the trash before the reshuffle, and my god constantly recurring Bee Bots are like, the best. They soak up so much damage and get rid or nullify so many nasty things between La Capitan and the enivornment; I took out the Pillars with them, absorbed Krakens, and stopped Defenses and Revenge from hitting the party. Expatriatte was gunless for longer than I'd have liked but she did eventually get her shotgun out. Dealing with all the crew members was a slog; I don't think I stuck any damage onto La Capitan herself until her deck had like 6 cards left, but I lived, and that's what matters.

Easy mint for me. Mabel and the ship have to go first, of course. Expatriette served to provide sacrificial ongoings since it took her so long to draw a gun. Took a gamble and left the Phosphorescent Chamber out pretty much the whole game, since my team was going far more damage and healing that La Capitan was, and it ultimately paid off. Fugue State Parse is absolutely nuts, I really wish I'd been able to print-and-play her in my home games earlier, and that's with all the extra discarding I was doing.

I ended up with a Near Mint today. Things I did differently included leaving Hippocratic Oath out, riding heavily on Volatile Parts (to the point of sacrificing bots just to get those Bee Bots back), and using Extrasensory Awareness. That alone is probably what turned the tide, for all that it was still a really tough fight.

Very long, tedious Mint, with everyone at around 10 hp.
I focused every effect I could into supporting the Sentinels, and had Aura of Vision fuel ExPatriette’s hand after she dumped it for the seaweed.

I cannot for the life of me figure this out.
I've tried geting ESP out early, I've tried getting CF out early. I've never even seen the seaweed.
Leaving the Room out didn't help me.
I'm just stuck on this one.

Blackfang, I can type up some tips or my whole route if you like.
I actually had a fairly good time with this one, did it on my lunch hour today. Everyone finished in double-digit HP except Writhe and Mainstay, who were both in the 8-9 range. Everyone except Mainstay made good contributions:
- Dr. Medico healed a ton with Hippocratic Oath (I chose that with the early-game Unique Capabilities), Writhe kept stacking LC's deck after I removed her ability to play two cards a turn such that the ship never came back, and Idealist did tons of damage
- Unity kept Cryo Bot out for some great AOE damage
- Expat had a great time with Hairtrigger Reflexes and eventually got her Shotgun out
- Parse just generally wrecked stuff and gave us damage boosts. Never saw Extrasensory Awareness, that would have been keen.
- The two Phosphorescent Chambers from the environment helped us a lot more than they hurt us.
- I saw Mabel 3 times, L'epeiste twice, and everyone else once. LC flipped and flipped back, and then we burned her down.

Oh, and I forgot to mention - I left the seaweed out because LC was at 1 HP and it just didn't matter anymore.

I admit I strongly sympathize with Robb who's always lamenting here; I don't understand how people Mint (let alone "comfortably mint" these sorts of things when I just lose over and over again no matter what tactic I try. Then I feel really stupid compared to everyone else as a result since everyone else seems to be smart enough to easily figure it out.

Eh. Sometimes little decisions can cause large swings, especially in the trickier one-shots. I've seen some one-shots that I minted fairly easily that many others struggled with, and then there are others where I required multiple tries, while many others minted.

I'm just lost at this one. No matter what track I try to take I keep ending up with her basically healed up, a million cards under her, her entire crew out, and me with no stuff and no HP. Trying to do what others said they did and kill Mabel or the ship--usually my first two targets with her--just ended up with them right back out a turn or two later. I never see any deck control cards until too late plus the ship keeps shuffling things anyway. She keeps playing the card that gives her massive lightning damage or playing Walk the Plank on Expat every time I turn around, not that Expat ever has any guns to use anyway, often followed up by the ongoing wipe card.

I took a pretty nasty beating in the first two rounds - every reshuffle, she kept playing All Together Now and pounding whoever had the highest two HP totals (one took ATN, the others took LC's regular damage and a hit from Siege-Breaker). After that, though, the ship stayed dead and it was relatively smooth sailing. Never even saw Plunder.

Indeed. I needed to step away from this and try something easier. I decided on an game of Random against Iron Legacy. It was easier.

Belatedly... I got a near-mint that shoulda been a mint (mis-clicked and rewound because it was a pretty crucial mis-click), but yes, this one is a bear. This was the key for me:
I'd suggest having Parse switch to deck control as soon as possible and prioritizing destroying Mable and La Paradoja Magnifica first. Also, I got a lot of use out of Writhe's Caliginous Form, Sentinels Tactics, and Exploit Vulnerability.
Generally, the first few turns were just holding on for dear life and burning down Mable and then the ship with extreme prejudice. I didn't switch to deck control until I'd stablized because I was trying to get the team set-up. At some point early in the game, the Sentinels have that Mainstay ongoing that tanks damage - you should be able to keep it up for two turns: that, in addition to his DR power and his signature should buy you the time you need to stablize. Unity mostly recycled Bee-bot, which was helpful. I got a bit lucky when the environment played everybody's cards - Maria got the guy who zaps at start of turn for X = number of hero toys, which at that point was 13+, but Expatty got Flak Jacket in the same play, which absorbed the hit.
Hairtrigger and Exploit Vulnerability were the low-key MVPs but you gotta survive the initial blitz of all the pirates first.

I had a heck of a time with this one, too. I took down Mabel and the ship ASAP, but I found I couldn't get the rest of the crew under control and La Capitan wasn't being touched. At the end, I used Parse and Writhe for a little bit of card control, but then decided to forego damage mitigation, ignore the rest of the crew and just hit back hard. Phosphorescent Fungus + Targeting Arrow gave +2 damage to all my attacks for a turn. With everyone focused on attacks, I did 40+ damage to La Capitan in that turn and weathered the next turn of attacks to finish her off next turn with Mr. Chompy. I'm more of a slow play, lock up the game sort of player, but sometimes you just have to just punch your way through the problem.
