Hi all,

I know that Omnitron-U has had some bugs with his base power before but I think I found a new one (or 2).

1. AA's Syncopated Onslaught doesn't increase the damage done by Volatile Wiring.

2. Mr. Fixer's Riveting Crane does not make the damage irreducible.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the first one has already been reported.  The second one I haven't encountered myself.  I know there are issues with his power that will be fixed in the next patch.   I'll try them myself to see if either of those are still an issue.

Both work as expected in the current beta build which means with the next release it'll be working.

Yesterday John said during the stream Villains will be released soon. As far as I could see all the art is done, only the opening lines and challenge modes are missing. Maybe also some bug here and there to fix. I do not think we will get an update before Villains will be released.

That is pretty much what I would expect the next release with fixes will be also be when VotM is available.

Will they even come with challenge mode initially?  Challenge mode for them hasn't been released yet at all, not even in unofficial form like it was with Chokepoint.

I hope they won't wait for the challenge mode. Best case: Christopher already submitted the remaining opening lines, Handelabra implemented them and a new version was submitted to all platforms. I am a dreamer ;P

In the current version, Omnitron-U's base power is unaffected by any temporary effects. Galvanize, Syncopated Onslaught, Riveting Crane, Panzer Buster, etc etc, it's the same bug. The bug will be fixed in the next update (which will have VotM).

Do you have an approximate time frame for the release?  (later this month, next month, sometime before The Doors of Stone, etc)

"Soon" is proabably the best you can get.

And that could be any length of time- from months away to tomorrow!

But "before Doors of Stone " is probably a safe bet.

Now, is "before Doors of Stone" before of after "Winds of Winter"?

I always think it’s funny how some bugs manifest. Like, why would this one particular instance of damage not get modifiers applied, when in general, damage modifiers apply to…damage?

… I’ve seen plenty of similar things on my own, so I understand that complex systems sometimes have unexpected behaviors. It’s just funny to me HOW they come out sometimes.

In this case, I'm guessing it's because this is the only instance of damage which is tied to a temporary effect rather than a card in play.

Omnitron-U's power is complicated because as Arcanist Lupus mentions, it is itself based on a temporary effect. The bug was introduced as a side effect of fixing another bug with the power that had to do with Hasty Augmentation.
