I feel like maybe there should be such a thing, as we're collecting more and more shows and showrunners who want feedback on them.

Current Lineup:

Sentinels Live on Tuesdays at 7PM ET. The usual weekly Let's Play with Jeremy and John and occasional guests just playing the game, talking about beardcare and geeky things, and sometimes showing off previews of upcoming content.

Dolphin's Dive on Thursdays at 7PM ET. Dealing with strategies and how to best play the game. Pattern right now is that first game is LewdDolphin's choice, second game is viewer's choice, third is totally random.

Tales from the Archive on Saturdays at 7PM ET. Taking Sentinels card games and spinning them into a way to tell stories with the cards. Very RPG campaign-esque.

Future Lineup:

There was a Dev Stream this past Friday at 1PM ET. MigrantP wants to make it a regular thing and bring in other Handelabra folks to show off their workflow, but don't know what the eventual standard day and time will be. This one's not always Sentinels; MigrantP worked on Bottom of the 9th development this time around.

I feel kind of annoyed that my Twitch app didn't throw me up a notification about the Friday stream so I lost track of time since I was out during the morning, and I forgot about it. :P Bad Twitch.

Not part of the "official" Handelabra lineup, but there's somebody else who's been doing a regular Friday night stream from 8-10 PM Eastern over most of the last month. That would be twitch.tv/itsthesheppy

Nepycros has apparently also suggested to Handelabra that they try to get some of the better known card game streamers interested - he specifically mentioned Quill18 on Discord the other day, and said that this guy has a regular thing wherein he'll play cooperative games solo to show them off to people considering a purchase.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind getting to show off Sentinels to a bigger audience. (Sadly I don't have any suggestions, as I tend to be pretty game-specific in what Let's Plays I watch.) I wonder if the Shacknews attempt garnered much extra interest; the chat population seemed to mostly be our own fandom TBH.

I agree it'd be great to get a streamer who actually features in playing card games and pimping things to people who specifically play card games. It's been established elsewhere on the forum that there's a number of previous/current Magic players who find Sentinels fits nicely into those same gaming itches, and I'd wager other CCG or deckbuilding players would feel the same way if they tried/saw it.

A couple streams I would love to see created:

1) a let's play the weekly one shot stream. Doesn't have to be the current one can easily be an older one and help build the hype on these

2) with villains coming out soon a weekly vengeance style stream devoted to multi villian games. Will especially be more interesting after we get villains and more variety

I'm pretty sure LewdDolphin or someone regularly does a let's play of the One-Shots. I've used them before to get through the harder ones.

If you ever want to see an old stream before it hits YouTube, just go to Handelabra's channel > Videos > Past Broadcasts. It's how I watched the dev stream after realizing I missed the time for it. :stuck_out_tongue:

@morph147: I like those ideas. I'd actually thought of the One-Shot idea myself, though LewdDolphin apparently already does that on his own time/streaming channels.

Matchstickman and I did that for a few weeks, but both of us got pretty busy and it just kind of stopped. I could probably fit it in again, but a definitely need a partner as I get caught up in the game when I’m solo. Perhaps I’ll bring it up to Matchstickman again.

I do weekly one-shots on my YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiSuxYut3xCkEBRAqzwdGFKF_wKt8CTiV). I don't do them live because I like approaching them with zero knowledge of how other people fared; in the past, people said things in my live chat like "Watch out, Devastating Aurora is coming up" which ruins honest strategy-making.

That said, there are a couple early one-shots that I don't have recordings for (I only started recording with #9, and I went back and did 1-6 at some point) so I'm willing to entertain the possibility of playing through those, if people want it. :)

i would be interested in helping but I don't have the game for steam and not sure how easy it would be for me to stream using Linux.

@lewddolphin. Makes sense on the chat issue.

If if I cave and got the stuff for the game as well as someone help me figure it out would people be interested in the vengeance style only stream?

If timing / time zones could be made to work, I might be interested in being a second player. Will depend on some other factors I can't predict right now.

well in a couple months we will be in the same time zone at least. I would love to have it also be invited players for games too if we did it to help fill up slots just because it makes it more interesting

I'm in the Central time zone right now, but have a pair of job interviews that would have me moving to Eastern if I get either of them.

The downside would be moving away from my kids.

I really like the idea of Tales From the Archive, but I think the poor fellow forgets he's storytelling and not strategizing sometimes. The strategerist spirit is strong in the Sentinels fandom.

Not that it's easy to think on the fly with an audience. Also when the cards throw you a curveball. Yesterday was basically "IMMITUS ON PARADE" until Osiris finally threw a temper tantrum and wiped out everybody.

Also I am really starting to get annoyed at Twitch forgetting to remind me of things. Though my tablet sometimes gets flaky on notifications in general. It's REALLY annoying when it was supposed to be a calendar reminder about an appointment I need to actually keep, though at least I have other ways of quickly keeping tabs on that.

No argument. However, my options for things that might actually be able to be a career within a reasonable radius have begun to dry up. However, that's neither here nor there, nor a topic for discussion as part of this thread.

@jffdougan. Understand the situation all to well

but back on topic, let me find out if it's even possible for me to stream from my laptop because idk how it works and then we can go from there. I really want to get a vengeance only stream going because I want to help combat some of the hate the mode gets that imo becomes fun once villains comes out and there is more variety.

I wouldn't mind streaming if I had a decent screen recorder... Do any of you know of one for Ipad?

The solution the Twitch Community has generally embraced is using Twitter to announce streams and check up on streams. Just follow your person on Twitter to get notifications that way. Twitch notifications themselves have been pretty unreliable for a while now.

I know somebody who's part of a "network" that streams via Beam and has a bot set up that automatically announces by way of their Discord server when somebody in the community starts streaming. Willing to ping him about what/how.

Sad part is that I check Twitter only once a day at most. (Usually more like once a week...) Same with my email.

It's kind of funny, I have Weather Underground set up to DM me whenever there's a severe weather alert and I usually never get around to seeing it until long after the storm has come and gone. Thankfully we don't get tornadoes where I am.

We would love for Quill18 to stream sentinels but my guess is it would not be cheap to get him interested :)

edit: in fact, I'm pretty sure I sent him keys a while back and never heard anything.

edit 2: I just checked my email history and it was exactly 1 year ago that I reached out to him. seems like its due for another ping.

Chris Pramas was a guest on Sentinels Live this week. Nice to see another mobile user on the stream. :3 Nice to see one of the wives chatting away with us as well (Chris's wife).

Man, there's a lot of Chris(topher)s involved with Sentinels. Also a lot of beardy men. We definitely need "beardcare" on the Sentinels Live Bingo card.

@Powerhound_2000: That's the Letters Page Bingo Card.

Which inspired me to joke that there should be a Sentinels Live Bingo Card, to which it was said by J&J that they would approve if we ever made one.

Whoops I thought this was a different topic.  Really the bingo card would only contain "soon", "damage", and "what did you do?"

Beardcare, "Today I am in... {MigrantP's location}", Jeremy promotes The Fast Cast, Scrubs references, one of the hosts mispronounces a chat name, MigrantP makes a bug report, Jeremy does the exact opposite of what John said to do and they have to rewind... if we include the chat as participants too the list could be endless!

I forgot to post this, but MatchstickMan and I have talked and decided to revive our stream! We'll be doing one tonight at 6:30 pm Central. You can view it here: https://www.twitch.tv/cursedronway

Edit: We pushed it back to 6:30 pm Central to allow others to play the One-Shot before watching us try our hand at it.

Edit 2: somehow we messed up the time. It should be 7:30 on Central.

It's not that I forget that I'm storytelling, it's that I play WAY too fast if I try to storyboard every play. I was watching back my early replays and I was moving altogether way too fast. I don't have enough time in the week to write a five or six or seven part story. That's why I started sourcing dialogue bits from the chat.

I don't mind the sourcing/collaborating, makes it feel like a Sentinels roleplaying campaign but with cards instead of stats. :) I enjoy your Saturday stream a lot; it covers very different ground from the Sentinels Live and Lewd's shows. (I didn't mean to sound harsh, basically, and I'm sorry if I came off that way.)

Fanon things established in recent streams:

The name of the driver of the Plummeting Monorail is possibly "Hapless" Hal Halifax.

Ra's Blazing Tornado is really an Imbued Fire Tachyon running in a circle really fast.

Deadline likes to throw Endlings at people as ammunition.
