Guise, Wraith, Tachyon, the Sentinels, and the Scholar take on Challenge Mode Ermine, Fright Train, Friction, Proletariat, and Baron Blade at Dok'Thorath Capital. Good luck and remember you can only win by playing Best Cards Ever!

Well, I made a bunch of really stupid mistakes and missed a lot of chances, but I still pulled out a mint. Hooray for Freedom Fighters!
And since he's too modest to mention it, special thanks to Powerhound_2000 for writing the weekly one-shot description this week!
I always forget how convenient redirection powers are until I remember "wait, AoE damage gets concentrated into one huge blast." Bye bye, Fright Train.
A Mint, but a really sloppy one. Among many other things I kept forgetting to check who can't deal damage, which lost me among other things a super valuable Hypersonic Assualt. Ended up with just the Sentinels at 3/1/1/1 and Tachyon at 1. I did pick up on the interaction between Challenge Freight Train and Proverbs and Axioms, which is pretty great, but a few turns later Don't Dismiss Anything had Scholar put out an Alchemical Redirection with no defense, which got him very dead in almost the same way.
Comfortable Mint here for me with only the Sentinels dropping below double digits. I have to say, that was by far the friendliest and most helpful I've ever seen the Dok'Thorath Capital, I think it honestly did about half the work for me :)
Also, I'd like to apologise for my choice of language when I finally destroyed Baron Blade's thrice-cursed Impulsion Beam... only for him to immediately play the second one in his deck!!!
I feel your pain, I did this exact same thing. ;_;
This was a great one-shot, though. Fun, but tough.
I'm not apologizing fo rmy language when that happened.
Mint.
Impulsion Beams are the worst. Once the team got through them, it was all ok.
Dr. Medico/Scholar/Guise turned out to be a fun combo. Hippocratic Oath earned the title of "Best Card Ever!" in this game...Medico kept using it (and Horrifying Dichotomies) to heal Scholar, who got to deal more damage that way, and Guise kept copying Hippocratic Oath to also heal Scholar, and sometimes would copy Scholar's ongoings and heal himself with Gimmicky Character for big damage, and Guise would copy Medico's power to heal Scholar/have Scholar deal damage, etc.
Guise at 5HP, Wraith at 7HP, Tachyon at 3HP, Sentinels all at 7-10HP, Scholar at 13 HP.
I never saw the oath until it was almost over. it ended up in my trash somehow.
That said, I ended up in really good health overall (High teens/low 20s for all but the sentinels, who were only down by a point or two each), and I'm still not sure how.
Near Mint, and that only because I reflex-undid something that I really didn't need to (d'oh!).
I'm really sloppy with a lot of the cards still, and especially with the Undo button (a lot of time working on Ridiculous Challenge Time and getting the Challenge and Ultimate Hero achievements make me quick to rewind time). That said, I mostly had this under control, except when Friction wiped the board of Ongoings thanks to havign 13 Surge cards in her trash--the turn before I incapped her, no less!
Wraith's Razor Ordinance with Micro-Targeting Computer is still a reliable classic, and Flesh to Iron led to a lot of damage that was aimed at the Scholar (who had the most HP for most of the game) turning into nothingness, but Hypersonic Assault was probably the most important single lifesaver, letting me stop worrying about 95% of the Villain turns and reactions.
Easy Mint here. Guise finished at 10, Wraith 11, Tachyon 9, Sentinels 7/12/6/12, and Scholar at a robust 17.
Fright Train went down in round 1. It was a bit of a slog before the Impulsion Beams went down, but after that it was fine. Guise finished the matcch with two rounds of Guise the Barbarian / Blatant Reference, Scholar had consecutive Grace Under Fires for 8 and 11, and the Sentinels kept hammering away with Horrifying Dichotomy and TK Wallop. Wraith and Tach didn't have great damage games, but they played nice support roles, including consecutive Hypersonic Assaults and Throat Jabs.
Environment helped a little more than it hurt, the game ended immediately after I saw my first Freedom Fighter.
Mint, but a tough one due to a couple of careless mistakes (mostly wasting plays due to Impulsion Beam, and missing a few damage prevention/redirection cards). It can be really tough to play Vengeance without Undo, there's so much to keep track of. Fortunately, once Scholar is incapped and you have Human Shield out, it's very tough for the enemies to get any damage through.
Mint.
Didn't think I was going to make it, as I made A LOT of stupid mistakes. Several times forgetting about Impulsion Beam, playing Blatant Reference when Guise couldn't deal damage, playing important cards when they were about to be destroyed, discarding the wrong cards, et cetera.
Uh Yeah I'm That Guy on Scholar when he DDA'd a Alchemical Redirection helped split the damage between the two of them so that was helpful for saving Scholar. Human Shield helped when Uh Yeah was destroyed.
Ugh this was terrible. I managed a mint, but GODDAMN those Impulsion beams are the worst!
Surprisingly easy Mint. I'll skip the long writup (go to steam if you want to see it) but overall the whole team managed to contribute fairly evenly. The only true mistake I made was missing that Tachyon's damage was off and trying to Hypersonic Assult though ironically Scholar had her play a 2nd Hypersonic Assult via Don't Dismiss Anything after her damage was turned back on.
Wraith was the biggest non-damage contributor. She got an early Infraed Eyepiece down and used it to hamper Baron Blade. Practically every spy turned up 1 nasty card including the 2nd Imulsion Beam, Turn the Tables and most importantly both Old Tricks - New Allies. All these cards sunk right to the bottom of the deck and was probably a huge contributor for the game never spiraling out of control.
Other than that, consistent Horizontal Damage from both the Sentinels and the Environment not to mention regular draws from the environment made quick work of them. All HP values were in comfortable ranges with no one realistically close to being incapped.
I definitely also tried to Hypersonic while Tachyon couldn’t deal damage. One of several mistakes that almost (but didn’t!) cost me the Mint.
