"Intervene"???

I was playing a practice version of this week's one-shot (PW Tempest, RC Wraith, TLT, GI Bunker, Termi-AZ vs. Ultimate Voss in Megalopolis).  I was pretty far along, Wraith had most of her equipment out, and I used two Impromptu Inventions in a row to get out all three of her Mega-Computers.   When I played the third, I got the attached image -- the giant word "Intervene", with the Wraith in front of her computer.  Pressing anywhere on the screen (iPad) just took me to the "replacements" page on the Sentinelsofthemultiverse.com website, (where one can buy replacement decks, etc.).   There seems to be no way to get back to the actual game itself, short of closing and reopening.  Anyone know what this is?

UPDATE:   This is repeatable.  I ended up closing out the app, re-opening, hitting "Continue Game, " and trying to play the same card combo -- it did it again.  I went back a third time, took a screen shot of Wraith's position before playing those cards, in case anyone is interested.

This was part of the Oblivaeon ARG (a huge puzzle that introduced the Oblivaeon events)...maybe a year ago?

There were a series of nine-letter words to solve which unlocked different comics and stories of Oblivaeon. Not all in the video game, but in various places throughout the internet.

This thread led me to reread the ARG Wiki. Fun times...

It does seem like a bug that there's no way to continue your game, though.

I recall when this first came up I was able to continue my game.   I'll have to test this out myself to see if there is a bug.

I'm surprised the Intervene in-game is still active

If I click anywhere on the screen outside of the Intervene image that comes up I am able to proceed with the game.

I was late to the game (so to speak) and I remember that it took me over 8 hours to read through the entire thread.

And I loved every dang minute.

What device/format are you using?  On iOS, that doesn't seem to do anything.  

I'm using an iPad.  I clicked outside of the image and continued my game.  Though honestly it should be removed. 

If you tap outside of the image you can continue the game.
