Spite Agent of Gloom Challenge question

So when Spite is defeated (and replaced by Skinwalker Gloomweaver) does he leave play?

In the video game, By Any Means, Dead or Alive and Impale stayed in play and were next to Gloomweaver which I wasn't quite expecting because I thought they get destroyed when a target leaves play.

This is the correct and confirmed behavior. Afterall, it is the same target in a different body.
