Place to discuss theories on unlocking Termi-Nation Unity
Place to discuss theories on unlocking Termi-Nation Unity
Have fun!
Ooh, Termi-Nation Unity is one of my favorites, I'm excited.
I'm also rubbish at figuring these out :(
I am also excited to give these new variants a go! (I haven't' had many opportunities to try them)/
I don't think anyone is "good" at unlocking them. If you want to be the first, then try everything and anything to see what sticks. Don't fret; play with these dudes as many times as you can. I unlocked one by sheer accident, hoping to unlock another, and I wasn't the one to figure it out.
The fun comes when one is unlocked, and we all got to go and decipher based on a screenshot what the player did, hoping they remember what games they played before, if they won, lost, health. You know what it took for Santa Guise and F6 Bunker? Man those two stumped us!
My trick? Weed out what doesn’t work. No matter how ridiculously detailed. Play a game, No Unlock. Say what you did. Based on that result, we will do our best to get the answer!
Essentially, have fun with them.
I tried that specific method.
No unlock.
As for theories, I'm gonna guess it's gotta do with getting bots in and out of her trash. Maybe using Robot Reclaimation a few times, or specifically discarding bots with Flash Forge, then using Robot Reclaimation?
Perhaps using Scrap Metal might be a part of it?
Then you didn't have enough fun!
TLT, Unity and Parse vs. Ambuscade in Freedom Tower; used Flash Forge to discard two bots and draw two bots, then used Robot Reclaimation to retrieve those same discarded bots. Bots did the bulk of damage, and Unity herself struck the final blow. No unlock.
It's not Win a game against normal Chokepoint with regular Absolute Zero, Bunker, and Unity at The Block.
I just did that without an Unlock.
Unity, AGL, TLT, Chrono vs Baron Blade (challenge mode)in Insula Primus. Unity in first position, used forge to discard bots. Used her power to destroy friends equipment. No unlock.
Recovered 15 bots in one game with Robot Reclamation and finished the villain (poor Ambuscade) with a bot. No unlock.
I mentioned in the other threads that the bio says they are defeated by Chokepoint first (but i can't copy and paste it cause I'm on a public computer that has disabeld it. go fig. - Go to the wiki to read it)
So probably have to be defeated by chokepoint first. The bio for Termi-Nation also mentions Adamant Sentinels, so my guess is:
Loose to Chokepoint with at team of at least the Adamant Sentinels and Unity. The Adamant Sentinels must be incapped first. Then defeat Chokepoint with a team of Unity, AbZero, and Bunker. During this battle Unity must use Reconfigure on a full five bots in one play, and play at least five bots.
(guessing on the last part. I'm fairly confident on the Loose condition)
I’m assuming that when you say loose, you mean lose, right?
Got Unity, I'll have a full post about the game situation just as soon as I can put the baby down and have two hands to type. Screenshot is on my Twitter.
Forgot to mention - Unity didn't have any cards in Chokepoint's play area at the time. Not sure if that matters or not. She'd had one or two over the course of the match, though.
No unlock. Attached game file.
Never used reclamation.
Lost to Unity in Silver Gulch with Vanilla Termi-Nation team.
What would you sue it for anyway?
Thanks for showing me my mistake. I type too fast at times, i need to reread the stuff i write before clicking submit!
Do you mean Chokepoint?
Got the unlock. Unity/SST/DWV vs chokepoint in Freedom tower.
All bots in play. I had played all of unities cards at least once through out the game, though when I did robot reclamation I had no robots to get, so I don't think that's connected in any way.
All bots were at full life. The last turn before unlock on Choke's turn I had finally played my last raptor bot and bee bot.
Unity had not had a card in Choke's area for several turns. Worth noting though that it was the first time I had gotten down to only 4 cards face down in Chokepoints area. They were 3 Tach's and 1 DWV's if that matters.
Did not get unlock: Chokepoint vs Argent Adept, TL Tachyon, Omnitron-X, and Unity in the Block. All of her golems were out at full health and all equipment had been in play at least once. Robot Reclamation had been played a few times (but never returned golems.) Going to try again in Freedom Tower.
The first and only time I did that match-up, it was when I got the 'one hero left with 1 HP' achievement. So yeah, it's a tough match.
Unlock, had previously lost to choke point with adamantite sentinels, regular versions of knife and the termination gang in freedom tower. Game was freedom tower unity as tach and dark visionary. Unlock occurred during choke's turn. Previous turn I had all my bots out but not any equipment. This turn I had modular work bench and supply crate. There was 9 face down cards 3 unity 5 vision and 1 choke card. All unlocks seem to happen on choke's turn when all bots are in play. Factors to consider environment does it need to be the tower? Is it modular work bunch or a number of equipment needed to be in play? Loosing with adamantite sentinals? Theory for unlock is unit must have all bots in play and modular work bench at the start of chokepoint's turn.
Anyone remember what side she Chokepoint was on?
Mine was on the backside
Same for me, unlock happened at the start of Chokepoint's turn in the FF Tower, she was flipped (with one of Unity's cards face down). Note that losing to her with the Adamant Sentinels is *not* required, though I had lost to her with the Termi-Nation gang (Unity, Bunker and AZ) previously (doing that fast is VERY easy, just try her Challenge Mode with them!!!)
Pretty sure Scrap Metal and/or Construction pylon has something to do with it. Had all bots out at full health (but no pylon) at start of Chokepoint's turn and no unlock.
Next round, I made sure Costruction Pylon and Scrap Metal (thanks to Tachyon's incap) were out.
Unlocked on Chokepoint's turn.
No unlock : SST, DV, OX & Unity in FT
All of her bots were in play, no cards in Choke`s area, construction pylon, workbench and supply crate were also in her area. I played all of her cards at some point in the game.
Lost previously to Choke with adamant sentinels, and termination gang.
Thinking scrap metal must be in play, but not sure. Hardest part is keeping Choke alive while all this setup takes place.
bolnerap, did you lose a game to Chokepoint before getting the unlock? Since that's a lore point we've sort of been assuming might be necessary.
Yes - I said so in the post - but some Steam folks are reporting they did not lose a game first.
How are people getting all the bots out and keeping Choke point alive? I am diverting damage to the heroes, but keep ending up having to choose between incapacitating the team or winning the game.
Telekinetic Cocoon or Mist Form.
I used heroic interception which I kept cycling using vernal senada.
Failed to unlock.
Team of Unity, America's Greatest Legacy, Visionary, and Super- Scientific Tachyon Versus Chokepoint at Freedom Tower.
I have not lost to Chokepoint with Unity and I did beat her on Normal with the base forms of the Termi-Nation Team
By the end the game. I had all of her bots out and used Mission Control to get a Scrap Metal into play without having to return any bots.
At some point I played Volatile Parts but it was not out.
All Bots Were Present Full Health. I can try it again and keep Parts out
I also had all of her Pylons and at least one Workbench out.
Anybody have suggestions on what i should try next?
Any confirmed unlock without losing to Chokepoint first?
How about confirmed unlocks without having Volatile Parts out?
I'll try to get the log file of my up tomorrow.
I unlocked without Volitile Parts.
I did not lose to Chokepoint first.
I only used three heroes, and all the unlocks I have seen follow that pattern.
Successful Unlock.
Team of Unity, Grandpa Legacy, Dark Watch Visionary. Vs Standard Chokepoint at Freedom Tower.
I do have a log and screen shot saved to my computer and I will try to figure out how to post at least one if those things after I manage some sleep since I worked most of the night.
Potentially important notes from my Unlock.
I previously tried the same basic strategy with regular Visionary, and Super Science Tachyon. It looks like you might need to do it with just a 3 person team as somewhat suggested by Hynju above.
I did not lose to Chokepoint before getting the unlock.
I did not have Scrap Metal out when the unlock occured. Although I did play it during the game and then used it to generate a Bot.
I did not have Volatile Parts out when the unlock occured and I do not even think I played it during the game.
I did have Construction Pylon, Supply Crate, and Modular Workbench out and I did use both methods of putting bots into play during the game.
Who's Dark Watch Visionary?
Visionary from another timeline that formed Dark Watch to save her city of birth.
I'm intrigued. what's her Base power?
Hmm. Howabout:
Dark Watch Visionary
Telepathic Team Link
Power: Until the start of your next turn, whenever a hero plays a card a different hero draws a card.
I'm having a hard time keepig my bots alive! She keeps eating them...grrrr
Got the unlock during Chokepoint's turn.
From the above and my unlock:
At the beginning of Chokepoint's turn, on her Armored Animus side: All of Unity's Golems must be in play at full HP, along with Construction Pylon, Modular Workbench, and Supply Crate.
This is my educated guess.
Who did you use? Only 3 heroes, or more?
Her eating bots is why I used Visionary (Twist the Ether and Telekinetic Cocoon to give the bots a target so Chokepoint does not die) and Legacy (Next Evolution and Lead from the Front protects Bots especially if you Twist the Ether on Chokepoint)
You can also use Ring and Two Next Evolutions (Melee and Energy) on Legacy to give the bots a target if you Twist Turret Bot and want to use Visionary for things besides sitting there in Cocoon. Notably Mental Divergence has a lot of utility controlling her Ongoings and returning Heroic Interception and Take Down to Legacy.
Their is some evidence that you can only use a 3 person team, and based on the other unlocks Unity might need to be the First Hero.
I used 3.
Updated below, as I noticed a few tihngs missing (Has anyone unlocked outside of Freedom Tower?)
At the beginning of Chokepoint's turn, on her Armored Animus Side: All of Unity's Golems must be in play, along with Construction Pylon and Modular Workbench. You may only have 3 Heroes on the team, and must be fighting in Freedom Tower.
Thanks for the technique to not lose everyone.
Here's another failure, far from what people are almost getting.
I used 5 heroes, she was flipped, all my golems were in play at full health, i had the pylons, workbench and supply crate sin play, in freedom tower.
There was one card under Chokepoint's play area belonging to Unity. Then with no cards belonging to Unity
No unlock.
What Environment were you in?
Freedom Tower. Did you ahve caspit's playground in play?
No.
Well, maybe, but also no.
Two rooms had Forced Entry on them, I don't think anything else was in play. (just finished the game, damnit, I could have looked maybe 10 minutes ago!)
Next person, see if my method works without Caspit's playground in play.
I hope this helps. It's a fairly long game and I rewound a few times.
PW Argent Adept, Unity, and Greatest Legacy in that order.
At the time of the unlock all the bots were in play and at maximum hp.
Unity had previously destroyed 2 Kinetic Looters and 2 Shocking Animations using Bee Bot destructions.
Construction Pylon, Supply Crate and I believe Modular Workbench were all in play.
Chokepoint was on her flip side with none of Unity's cards in her play area.
Mission Control was the only environment card in play.
So the unlock is consistently happening at the start of Chokepoint's turn?
Has anyone gotten the unlock without the Workbench in play? I saw someone had it without Supply Crate in play.
I believe I had it in play.
What changed for Unity between the unlock and Chokepoint's previous turn:
The only Unity card in Chokepoint's play area was destroyed.
Unity played a Construction Pylon and a Supply Crate.
The Pylon is definitely a must, from what i've seen.
I think there was a Unity card in Chokepoint's play area for mine, but i'm not 100%
Just got the unlock. I went looking for the log in Android, but I guess it deletes once the game is over.
Three heroes, order: Team Leader Tachyon, Dark Visionary, Unity in Freedom Tower.
Unlocked on Chokepoint's turn.
My guess (which is almost completely wrong given how this game went) was that it had something to do with the number of cards in Chokepoint's area and/or environment vs. Unity's play area (equipment) after she flipped, so I used Visionary to get her to flip ASAP and then did my best to blow up all her stuff and keep her from getting new things. No dice, had Chokepoint wipe the environment a couple times so almost nothing there, and she was down to two cards, while Unity had two Modular Workbenches, two Volatile parts, at times had Supply Crates and Scrap Metal in addition to over ten bots to no avail. Unity had way more bots than Chokepoint+Environment, and even had more equipment a couple times than Choke+enviro. After that I went for playing one of each bot, all the freedom five bots were out, and then raptor bot was the last bot type I hadn't put out yet, and then I gave up and put all the other bots out. All the golems were at full health going into the second to last turn. Caspit's playground was out for a while and Visionary was in cocoon mode tanking for Chokepoint by the end. I dodged a lot of gear stealing with Visionary before she cocooned so Chokepoint never had more than four hero cards, although I never got her to flip back.
Near the end, Caspit's Playground got covered by an Entry Point, no other environment. Chokepoint played an Augmented Energy Field. I'm pretty sure up to this point I hadn't destroyed any of her ongoings using Bee Bot - I destroyed one using Blinding Speed, and the Shocking Animation was put on a Supply Crate. I'm pretty sure I only used Bee-bot on Frost's environment card.
Last Round:
Team Leader Tachyon Nimble strikes a Bee-Bot, which I used to blow up the Augmented Energy Field. Bee Bot hits Visionary, blows up the Field and then I realise that the Volatile parts kick in and Unity almost takes out Chokepoint - she goes down to 1 HP after the dual Volatile Parts hit.
Visionary stays in cocoon.
Unity does an Inspired repair into a Robot Reclamation (first time using this) to take back Bee Bot. I put out a Pylon. I then use Modular Workbench to put out a Bee-Bot. The bots hit Visionary.
Environment adds a Training Simulator and then Unity unlocked on Chokepoint's turn. She plays Shocking Animation, which I put in the Pylon. She destroyed her last hero card in her play area, which was Visionary's.
And then TLT suckerpunches Chokepoint in the face.
Ending suggests that Bee-Bot destroying one of Chokepoint's ongoings may be important. Something about playing a lot of Unity's cards and destroying Chokepoint's stuff seems to at least let you luck into the unlock. My guess would be:
A three hero team game against Chokepoint, Unity must be present.
Chokepoint must flip.
Bee-bot must destroy one of Chokepoint's ongoings.
All the bots must have entered play once.
Modular Workbench and Construction Pylon must be out when Chokepoint plays a card.
So not all bots have to be in play at once, and it all of them have to be at full HP. If that's true, then that makes things a lot easier
Tried Blackfang's method, but no unlock. Still something missing. Have a log. The game's still in progress so I could try ridding unity's cards for the play area, but given that she has two copies of Kinetic Looter out I need to dig hard for Mental Divergence first.
The fact that the unlock is at the start of Chokepoint's turn seems like it matters somehow; most of the other unlocks don't care about the specific phase. Yet it's the start of her turn instead of the end so it's not obvious why this would be the case.
The only start Effect of turn she has on her flipped side is number of cards she has face down.
I unlocked with Nightmist, Wraith and Unity at Mobile Defense Platform vs. Chokepoint.
Did not lose a previous game with Chokepoint.
All my bots were out. Stealth bot was not at full HP (iOS so no log but I know Stealth was down to 1 HP, was then tied for lowest HP with BeeBot, then Smoke Bombs prevented Stealth from getting hit anymore. Only a single Inspired Repair brought Stealth from 1 HP to 4 HP).
Had Construction Pylon, Modular Workbench and Supply Crate out. Never had Volatile Parts out. Can't remember exactly what happened on the turn before getting the unlock unfortunately so hard to pinpoint a triggering condition.
I think that might be our first unlock NOT in Freedom Tower though, so that eliminates one more variable.
Got the unity unlock.
Grandpa Legacy, Visionary, Unity against Choke Point in Freedom tower.
All 3 of the Termination Heroes “rooms” were in play (though some were under entry points)
All bots were in play, I had played most cards in Unity’s deck. I had not played shockwave. I did put out a work bench the turn I got the unlock. Perviously i went through a round with all bots out, but no workbench and did not unlock. Sorry I don’t have more specifics. I was at the point if just throwing everything at the problem.
I must be missing something. I've had all the bots out (at full health), all the stuff in play, some not in play, 3 heroes, freedom tower (which can be confirmed as not being needed). I'm sure we're missing something super super easy. :)
Well, I'll fool around with the other two until we can get more info.
On a side note, now that I have the unlock I see the small pics of Term Unity, but when i play her in a game she is not there. When I double click on her card I get instructions to re-download. So I re-downloaded the season 2 pass, but that didn’t help. Not sure what I should re-download. Anyone else having this problem?
PS - I have loaded the most recent update and can play challenge and ultimate modes.
If you're going to redownload a Season Pass I would suggest Season Pass One since that is where any data about Unity would be held.
I can confirm that it is the Season 1 pass.
I have not redownloaded the S2 pass and can see TermiNation Unity's card.
So so far, the unlocks have been in Freedom Tower and the MDP?
Maybe it has to be either one of those as part of the Vengeance event, since that's where Choke debuted?
That did the trick. Thanks!
That's entirely possible.
has anyone unlocked her in another environment?
There's an unlock involving the temple of zhu long on steam. (edit: it's Dman222's log http://pastebin.com/xTwzJQyb also different is that this is an unlock where Chokepoint was at 60+ HP when the unlock happened!)
If you have trouble getting the unlock, try to get Chokepoint playing ongoings (at least four of them) and possible also destroying the ongoings. It's known that if it involves ongoing destruction, anybody can do it as there are unlocks where the bee-bots were never used on Chokepoint's ongoings (e.g. some people never destroyed their Bee Bots, used Tachyon to do all the ongoing destruction, etc)
In my unlock I used the Visionary to destroy ongoings, but only like 2 or 3. It would be a kicker if it all centered around ongoing destruction and worked for all 3 termination heroes.
Maybe have all of Unity’s Freedom 5 bots in play and destroy one of each type of Chokes ongoings.
One unlock had Cryo Bot never coming out. There was also one where stealth bot was at 4HP, so all bots at full HP is not necessary either.
The unlock for AZ (on twitter) didn't seem to involve ongoing destruction. It involved Coolant Blasting a Battleship.
I never saw Augmented Energy Field in my unlock, but I did destroy 2 Kinetic Looters and 2 Shocking Animations.
I am betting it's based on how many cards flipped face down in her playa area. If it's start of turn, then that's the one factor that can matter most
As shown in my screenshot (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=883729219), Chokepoint had a Unity card facedown during my unlock. Also, not pictured, my bot were not at full health at the time.
I got the unlock over the weekend. Unfortunately I was using my tablet, so here is the best I can remember.
Ambuscade vs Unity, Captain Cosmic, PW Argent Adapt, The Adamant Sentinels in Freedom Tower
I got the unlock at the start of Ambuscade's turn. I had 2 Platform Bots, Swift Bot, Cryo Bot, 1 Bee Bot, Turret Bot, and Stealth Bot in play. I had 1 Volatile Parts and Modular Workbench also in play. Captain Cosmic had a lot of constructs in play (roughly 10 I think). The only environment cards in play were Mission Control Center and Legacy's Landing Pad. Never saw Caspit's Playground before the unlock.
Do you recall his Ongoing ever being in play?
So we can confirm
VIllain: Any villain works
Environment: Any environment works
Happens at start of villain turn
Unity must be in play
Has anyone unlocked it where Unity was NOT first in order?
How are people getting their bots into play? Destroying her own equipment or others'? Using the Pylon and Workbench? It might be something like, getting a certain number of bots into play without destroying her equipment.
Answers:
1. No to Ambuscade getting his Ongoing in play.
2. Entry Point entered play twice and both times Bee Bot took care of it.
3. Unity was used all her powers at least once. She destroyed her equipment and Argent Adept's.
4. Argent Adept was giving extra card plays to both Unity and Captain Cosmic before the unlock. Unity was using it for either playing bots or drawing cards between One-Shots and Supply Crates.
Can it be having X more targets than the villain has cards in their play area? AMbuscade has a lot of targets, and Captain Cosmic does as well.
Afgncaap's image share shows Unity in the last position, so I don't think that's a factor that matters either.
I exclusively used Pylons and the Workbench to get the bots into play, I think.
Might have eaten a workbench at one point with the base power.
Last bot came into play through a workbench.
EDIT: has anyone gotten it with more than 3 heros?
I spent a bunch of my rounds with more Unity equipment (3 or more) and bots (10 or more) than Chokepoint (and environment, since I had Chokepoint destroy all the environment a couple times) had cards in her area (I was intentionally trying for a more equipment than cards, so she had three or less, and had one by the unlock).
On my last round, I did destroy a Bee Bot with Tachyon, and Unity used Reclamation to take back it back and put it into play with the Workbench, as well as put a Pylon into play (SwiftBot). Maybe we have to do reconfigure-like things like have a bot destroyed, get a bot back from the trash, (put a bot in play?). I did do all that in one round…
Also Unity was last in order for my unlock.
I'll try that!
How has Unity's HP looked at the time of unlocking?
I just got the unlock. Long game against Ambuscade with Legacy and Wraith at Freedom Tower. Unlock came with two Supply Crates, one Scrap Metal, one Workbench and every single bot in play.
I think it's gotta be more equipment than bot based, because the only difference between that round and the previous one was her equipment.
Now i'm getting a little annoyed, not enough to cry fowl, or complain. Just trying to find that missing component!
Out of curiosity, what healths were your heroes at? Were your bots at full health?
Could it be just as simple as having a certain number of her equipment cards in play? Can someone try not playing bots and just keep adding equipment?
Keep track of brain storms and other oneshots as well.
All at full health, thanks to the Environment's healing and Legacy's tanking.
Maybe something like:
Have H+1 Equipment cards in play at the start of the villain turn?
That seems almost too easy... then again, the way Unity usually burns through her equipment, it's not something that happens every game.
I had PW Argent Adept in my game. I can't imagine I didn't have H+1 equipment cards in play much sooner than I got the unlock.
Tried Legacy and Wraith in Freedtom tower.
I had one of each equipment in play, I had all the golems in play. I destroyed at least one equipment belonging to both heroes.
I had one of each equipment, only 4 equipment, I really don't know what i am missing. I'm going to wait untill we get more data, because I am doing something seriously wrong.
Since it happens at the start of the VILLAIN turn it must be something to do with the round. Can it be prevent X damage using stealth bot?
Edit: changed environment to villain. I wasn't thinking right
it happened at the start of the Villian turn, not environment turn.
FINALLY GOT IT
UPDATED: team was Dark Vis. SS Tachyon, Vanilla unity
Wagner Mars base
Ambuscade
All Bots out at full HP
2x supply crates
1 x modular workbench
1 x Construction pylon
1 x volatile parts
2 x Villanous Weaponry in play
Ambuscade had 6 targets (inlcuding himself)
Dealt practically zero damage thanks to meteor storm
Took little damage thanks to early meteor storm
Attached Log file
I copied this and got the unlock with 13 bots out (everything except for one Raptor Bot) and 9 equipment cards out (everything except for the two Scrap Metals and one Modular Workbench). No bots ever went into the trash, but maybe 6 equipment cards did thanks to dust storms. Ambuscade had 9 other targets and his ongoing out. So maybe equipment cards in play equal to non-character villain targets in play triggers the unlock?
Using Ambuscade Grampa Legacy, TLT, and Unity in Mars Base I tested many things. The UNLOCK happened once I had the same number of Unity equips in play as Ambuscade had targets. I had all her bots in play, but I'm not sure that matters. V Parts, 3 Pylons, and Bench while Ambuscade had Cloak, pistol, launcher, shield, and mine.
Unlock theory: Unity has exact same number of equipment cards in play as villian targets.
Possibly number of non-hero targets, I had removed 2 villian armors that turn.
Good luck everyone else!!!
Before you get too far in on anything vs. non hero targets, remember that the first unlock occurred in a situation where the number of non hero targets was guaranteed to be 1 for the entirety of the match.
I never had Unity destroy Legacy's equipment; she destroyed a couple pieces of Wraith's and Combat Stance thanks to Caspit's playground.
It might not be villain targets, it could be cards in the villain play area.
Not sure it is that. I got it against ChokePoint in Freedom tower. She had a ton of hero cards in her play area and no ongoings. It definitely has to do with equipment. The Villian and environment do not matter. You do not need to lose to Choke first. Has anyone tried lots of equipment and no bots?
I unlocked it against Ambuscade when only he and the cloaking device were in his play area.
Do you remember how many equipment cards you had in play?
I’ll just come in to mention that it probably requires doing something out of Season 2. I don’t have the Season 2 content and I can’t just push the unlock button for the Termi-Nation variants.
(And after following this thread, I’m glad I just gave up on the story achievements and push said buttons!)
@Trajector
You cannot use the Unlock button right away. You need to wait 30 days. Because of this, you cannot assume that it has something to do with Season 2 material.
A thought I had: is everyone putting a bot into play using all four methods (base power, modular workbench, scrap metal, construction pylon)? I read a couple Steam logs today and neither of them got the unlock until after they'd done all four of those.
I know I used all four in my game.
I didn't use Scrap Metal to put a Bot into play.
I played one, but I Bot Hacked it immediately.
Eh, thought I was on to something. Thanks.
Was in my post – two Supply Crates, one Workbench and one Scrap Metal (which was played by the environment). The two Crates were played during Unity's play phase, and all the bots were already in play. The bots were also all in play the previous round, so it's not about getting a bot into play that round.
I just got the unlock, I think Robot Reclaimation is part of it.
Unity, Legacy, and Visionary vs. Chokepoint in Freedom Tower
The game had gone on a long time, I've got all of the bots in play and most of my equipment (and what's not been in play has been at some point, like Scrap Metal). I've managed to control Chokepoint's deck the last few turns using Suggestion and managed to get her to flip back over to her front side by getting rid of all of the face-down cards (and the last 4 to flip had been Legacy and Visionary cards, so there's been plenty of turns without any of Unity's there). I'm about to just call it a wash, figuring that I had missed some other fine point of what's necessary, but I realize that I hadn't played Robot Reclaimation the whole game, so on a whim I throw one into play to no effect (no bots in the trash).
Next Start of Chokepoint's Turn, I got the unlock.
Edit: I'm currently thinking something along the lines of "At the Start of the Villain Turn, unlock if Unity has [x] Mechanical Golems and/or Equpment cards (or some specific set of them) in play. Robot Reclaimation [and maybe other cards] must have been played at some point."
Unlocked.
Grandpa Legacy, Visionary and Unity (in that order) vs. Chokepoint in the Freedom Tower.
I basically stalled the entire game until it unlocked. I played every single one of Unity’s cards, had almost every card in play, dealt damage, and used each equipment once. Did not unlock.
Until finally, I managed to draw every single one of her cards, leaving nothing in the trash or Chokepoint’s play area. Everything was in play or in her hand. The last card I drew was Supply Crate.
So, it’s most likely nothing to do with bots or equipment usage. I’m thinking it’s got to do with the crates. I’m very certain of it. So my theory is:
Using a three hero team, play or draw all of Unity’s Supply crates. Her Construction Pylon and Modular Workbench must be in play at the start of the Villain’s turn.
Or…
Using a three hero team, play or draw all of Unity’s Supply crates. At least 2 of Unity’s equipment cards must be in play at the start of the Villain’s turn.
I think the latter is more likely than the former.
Yeah, I never had Construction Pylon out past Unity's turn, and it definitely wasn't out when the unlock happened.
I unlocked Unity yesterday evening. Attached is my log right after unlocking. At the time of unlock, I had been playing for what seemed like an eternity.
I played Abuscade with TL Tachyon, Unity, Sky-Scraper in the Final Wasteland. Unity had all bots in play and at full heath. I had all of her cards in hand or in play. I had two Pylons in play, two work benches, three supply crates, and one volitale parts. I played brainstorm, robot reclaimation, and scap metal each once. I never played flash forgeor hasy augmentation. I played inspired repair a lot!
I think she need all of her bots and some of her equipment in play. The very last power I did was to use one of my three pylons to bring the last two bots into play.
Here was my last turn for Unity before the unlock. Sorry for the length.
Went from Tachyon's End phase to Unity's Start phase.
Turret Bot initiates 3 Projectile damage to Sky-Scraper.
Stealth Bot redirects the damage dealt from Sky-Scraper to Stealth Bot.
Thorathian Monolith redirects the damage dealt from Stealth Bot to Sky-Scraper.

Got it, had all bots out at the start of the villain turn. Had one of each equipment, besides scrap metal.
I had this setup for several rounds (and one round had SM out, with Red Dust shenanigans) but it didn’t trigger until I played Powered Shockwave, which was the only card I hadn’t played yet. So, I think you may have to play all of her cards at least once.
And when I say all bots, I mean ALL of them. All 14.
I had all 14 bots in play as well, but I never played a Powered Shock Wave in my unlock game. Discarded them a lot for things like Modular Work Bench, but never Played.
Oh, yeah. Powered Shockwave was my go-to discard fodder with Workbench and Visionary’s power. I never played it.
I’m just confused why my unlock triggered after obtaining the last Crate, and not before having all bots or all equipments in play. Just used a weird bruteforce method and drew her entire deck.
Just got the unlock, as with most folks, all bots, all full health, 3 person game: Grandpa, SST, Unity, Ambuscade, Mars.
I know for a fact that I never played Powered Shockwave, Hasty Augmentation, Flash Forge, or Inspired Repair, but I did play every other one-shot. I never played Scrap Metal from hand, but it did get Experimented into play. What changed between the previous turn and the unlock turn was that I played Contruction Pylon and Volatile Parts (already had Supply Crate and Modulator Workbench in play).
Maybe it's something like playing several Equipment cards in a single round (or turn) without destroying any of them to put bots out?
My last turn before getting the unlock was all three Supply Crates in play destroyed for card draw at Start of turn, then played a Supply Crate (trash reshuffled and I redrew one), Inspired Repair into Inspired Repair, into Robot Reclaimation. So, I didn't destroy any Equipment to play a bot (all were in play already by this point), but I also only played one from hand.
I know that either of these are not the case because I unlocked Unity with a 4 Hero team. Also, I did not see all of my Supply Crates.
I did not have all my bots in play either. I had about 7 (too lazy to go check my post on page 2).
On the live stream John said that we were all making this too complicated. Given that AZ’s unlock seems to be mimicking his variant’s power. Could that not be the case with Unity and Bunker. In AZ’s case it appears to be a bit extreme. More than 10 damage taken, healed and delt. Could Unity not be something similar? An extreme mimicking of her power that we are somehow achieving.
The odd thing is when it triggers -- not when she plays a bot, or a bot is destroyed, or an equipment is played or destroyed. It triggers at the start of the villain turn.
So the formula has to be something like, "At the start of the villain turn, X must be true." In my case, it came after an equipment play, as her bots had already been in play the previous round.
I think it has to do with her equipment not only being played, but surviving. Maybe having a piece of equipment survive multiple rounds?
Something like Scrap Metal to remove a Bot from play, Robot Reclaimation (to mimic getting a bot from the trash), and draw [x] cards through things like destroying supply crates or via other one-shots?
This makes sense. Have x equipments survive x rounds?
It may just be one piece of equipment – when I got the unlock, of the four equipments I had out, three of them had been played that round.
Well, I'm stumped. No unlock. PW AA, Legacy, Wraith, Unity, vs Ambuscade in Freedom Tower. I stalled and stalled until Unity had drawn every card in her hand. She had every single piece of equipment out (3X Towers, 2X Workbench, 2X Volatile Parts, 2X Scrap Metal), and every bot except for 1 Platform Bot and 1 Bee Bot (which Scrap Metal made me put back in her hand). As best I could remember, I had gotten bots in the game using every means available (Tower, Workbench, Unity's inherent power, Scrap Metal, and AA's songs), and I think I had played every one of Unity's one-shots at least once. Yet, by the time I had accomplished all of this, it rolled into Ambuscade's villain turn and....no unlock.
Absent a Fixed Point or out-of-turn card play, it's impossible for Unity to have all equipment AND all bots in play at the beginning of the villain turn, right? Keeping Scrap Metal in play necessitates putting bots back in hand, or Scrap Metal itself gets destroyed.
Either way, I'm fairly confident that having ALL of Unity's equipment in play is not in and of itself sufficient for the unlock. Maybe like a couple of other people have said, it's some sort of variation of Termi-Nation Unity's power -- destroying and re-creating stuff? Maybe it's something along the lines of "In her turn, Unity must destroy X cards and play Y cards, then have Z cards/equipment/bots in play at the beginning of the villain turn"?
Not if you play Scrap Metal out of turn; that's what happened with me, Freedom Tower played it for me, then I got the unlock.

It's not necessary – again, I only had four cards in play (two crates, one Scrap Metal, one workbench).
Could it be as simple as having scrap metal played out of turn, or played and surviving without putting a bot back into hand? Did anyone unlock without Scrap Metal in play?
I didn't have Scrap in play. In fact the turn before I destroyed Scrap and 2 Crates to bring my number of equips down to match Ambuscade.
Anyone catch this? Don't know if it would be useful to dig into that...
I can back this up. I've been running a game (Leg, Unity, Vis vs Ambuscade in FT) where I played nothing but her crates. No unlock. Then I put out her benches, pylons, the volatile explodey things (the name escapes me) and once the environment put a bee bot into play, I bounced it back with scrap to see if having that in play at the start of the villian turn mattered. No unlock.
I'll start in on her one shots next.
This post seems to make clear that ( A) three-hero teams aren't necessary, and (B) fighting Chokepoint isn't necessary.
But, has everyone seen this? (Steam Community :: Screenshot :: Variant get! Got it with 3 person team (SS Tachyon, Omnitron X, Unity) vs Ambuscade on Wagner Mars Base.) Screenshot from a successful unlock on Steam by Dedlok, who theorizes: " Get all 15 of her Golems on the Field and have them all out on the field for a full turn at full HP. Used Wagner Base for the Meteor Swarm card (no cards can do damage) and Ambuscade because he has nothing that can affect the environment. "
Since they're in Wagner Base, then (C) playing in Freedom Tower isn't necessary. More importantly, though, I think it's proof that the "# of Unity equipments = # of villain cards in play" theory is incorrect:
Looking at Unity's picture in the lower right of the screenshot, she has 18 cards in play (12 cards in hand), but according to Dedlok, 15 of those cards are bots, which means Unity only has 3 Equipments in play. Ambuscade has 5 cards in play (6 if you count his character card), so I don't think the number of villain cards vis-a-vis Unity Equipments in play has anything to do with it.
But, perhaps it isn't " # of Unity's equipments = # of villain cards " but " # of ALL hero equipments = # of villain cards "? In the unlock screen shot, Unity has 3 equipments in play. Tachyon has three cards in play, one of which is (probably) the HUD Goggles, which would be 4 Equipments. Given Omni-X's deck, he probably has at least one Equipment in play, which would be 5 Equipments – the same number of cards that Ambuscade has in play. (Or if it's "total number of cards in villain play area," then Omni-X with 2 Equipments in play would equal 6 total hero Equipments.) That would also make the unlock condition susceptible to modification by Unity, since she can destroy hero equipments to even out the numbers if need be. So my new Theory #1 is:
Unity must be on the team. At the beginning of the villain turn, the number of hero Equipment cards in play must equal the total number of villain cards in play (or "cards in the villain's play area") (or maybe "villain targets in play"). (Note: This can't be the whole condition; it's too easy. But maybe it's in combination with a number of bots Unity must have in play, or that she must have played certain cards, or destroyed/repurposed a certain number of bots?)
Alternately, there's Dedlok's theory about putting all of Unity's bots in play and having them at max HP at the beginning of the villain's turn. I think we've disproved that Unity needs to have all of her bots in play; several people have unlocked without having all of the bots in play. But, what if, rather than all of her bots, there is a certain number of bots that need to be in play and at full HP at the beginning of the villain turn? Maybe something like:
Unity must be on the team. At the beginning of the villain turn, Unity must have more bots in play than the number of villain cards in play/villain targets in play/cards in the villain's play area, and all of the bots must be at full HP.
It's definitely not as simple as Unity having the same number of Equips in play as villain targets, if only because that's too easy: Many villains don't have targets, so all Unity would need to do is double-skip her first turn to unlock.
Also, I just tried it. (SS Tach, Omni-X, Unity - Ambuscade, Wagner Mars Base). Going into Ambuscade's turn, Unity had two Modular Workbenches in play, Ambuscade had two targets (the cloak and the launcher). If it's just "# of Unity equipments = # of Villain targets," there should have been an unlock.
I never played flash forge nor robot reclaimation. I did have all bots out at some time, but was killing them off to keep Ambuscade alive.
Okay, I apologize for the length of this log, but it was something of a slog.
The last one-shot I played before the unlock was powered shock wave. I'm thinking the unlock hinges on it being played with a certain number of bots out.
Unity's equipment was far in excess of the number of things Ambuscade had out at any given time, so I'm fairly certain that's not a criteria.
If you want the pertinent data from the log, I suggest going to the end, and searching for 'wave'. I did play a second one to end the game, but the play before that was the last turn she had before the unlock.
.
There are only 14 golems, and it was at Mars for me, so having 5H non-character-card hero targets in play is not it.
OK, I just got the unlock, and I can definitively say that it doesn't have anything to do with Powered Shockwave – that was the one card in Unity's entire deck that I didn't play the entire game. I'm pretty sure now that it has something to do with destroying Supply Crate (or some equipment), bringing out a bot, then putting a bot back in the hand using Scrap Metal, because all of those happened both on my "unlock" turn and on your "unlock" turn.
I tried to duplicate your successful run exactly. Same team/conditions (Visionary, Grandpa Legacy, Unity vs. Ambuscade in Freedom Tower). Just like you did, I went through Unity's deck methodically until I had just about all of her bots out, as well as a bunch of equipment. Along the way, I played/used every card in her deck except Powered Shockwave – I was saving those up to use at the end as my attempt to finish the game like you did.
I wanted to set up my "unlock" turn so I could do what you did. (Destroy a Supply Crate to draw cards, play Powered Shockwave and Scrap Metal, use Workbench to play a BeeBot, then use Scrap Metal to take the Bee Bot back in my hand, and possibly, get the environment to play Supply Crate for me right before Ambuscade's turn.) So, with 90% of my setup ready, all I did on that turn was the following, never expecting it to do anything:
(1) Kill Ambuscade's cloaking device with Turret Bot (The only card he had in play.)
(2) Play Supply Crate and Scrap Metal (There wasn't one of either in play yet)
(3) Used Bot-Hack to destroy Supply Crate and play Bee Bot
(4) Wasted a bunch of bot damage on a still-invisible Ambuscade
(5) Used Supply Crate to put Bee Bot back in my hand (intending to play it next round for the "unlock").
The environment didn't play any additional Unity cards (only one-shots were left in the deck to be played).
When Ambuscade's turn came, he flipped, and I immediately got the unlock. So it happened not only without playing Powered Shockwave on that turn; it happened without playing Powered Shockwave at all. I put a more detailed breakdown of the turn at the end. (Since I'm on iOS, there is no log file, correct?) But for now, here's my current theory:
Unity must be on the team. On Unity's turn, she must destroy a Supply Crate (or possibly just "destroy an Equipment"?), put a Mechanical Golem into play, and put a Mechanical Golem back into her hand, all in the same turn. (Plus possibly an additional condition like "She must have X bots in play," or "She must have Y Equipments in play," or "She must have played X, Y, and Z cards at some point during the game.")
DETAILED BREAKDOWN OF UNLOCK TURN:
Ambuscade: Had just Cloaking Device in play
Unity:
Cards in Play at Beginning of "Unlock" Turn:
Bots: 13 (All except one Bee Bot)
Equip: Pylon (x2), Volatile Parts, Workbench
Cards in Hand: 18 Deck: 2 Trash: 3
Start:
Turret Bot does 5 buffed damage; kills Cloaking Device.
Play:
Supply Crate (draws Hasty Augmentation)
Scrap Metal
Power:
Bot-Hack: Destroy Supply Crate to bring out Bee Bot
Draw:
Supply Crate (x2) (drew last card from deck, and reshuffled deck)
End:
(Bots all direct attacks at Ambuscade; do zero damage – even though Cloaking Device was just killed, he's still invincible/unhittable until the beginning of his turn.)
Use Scrap Metal to put Bee Bot back in hand.
Environment:
(Nothing – with only one-shots in Unity's hand, there's nothing to be played; I ended up discarding two one-shots)
Unity at Time of Unlock/Beginning of Villain Turn:
Bots: All except 1 Bee Bot
Equipment: Workbench, Volatile Parts, Construction Pylon (x2), Scrap Metal
Cards in Hand: 20 Deck: 1 Trash: 2
"Unity must be on the team. On Unity's turn, she must destroy a Supply Crate (or possibly just "destroy an Equipment"?), put a Mechanical Golem into play, and put a Mechanical Golem back into her hand, all in the same turn. "
Tested, and this is not sufficient.
Unless it's cumulative over several turns, I can counter it in large parts: Unity's last turn before my unlock destroyed a bunch of supply crates, but was otherwise playing supply crate, 2 inspired repairs, and Robot Reclaimation. Nothing in my last turn had anything to do with Mechanical Golems other than the ones in play dealing damage (and because of the delaying I'd been doing to try different things, most of it was directed at Legacy, who was immune to it at the time).
Edit - actually looking at it, I did draw (I think) 11 cards on that one turn. That significant? I'd think that if it was it would have unlocked immediately if it was.
Hmm…there's one thing common to your unlock, my unlock and cokeandsympathy's unlock: We each destroyed a Supply Crate on Unity's turn, and the very next time the villain came up, it unlocked TermiNation Unity. Obviously it's not as simple as "Destroy a Supply Crate," but destroying a Supply Crate (or maybe destroying any Equipment?) really seems to be part of the mix. How many bots did you have out?
I didn't do any of those things during my unlock turn.
Got an unlock here. Was kinda just screwing around with the Termi-Nation team, playing against Ambuscade at Wagner Mars Base. The environment was kind enough to play Meteor Swarm on the first turn, so I had all the time in the world.
Got the unlock on the villain turn, like everyone else. It was the first full round after I had all the robots in play. I used a Flash Forge to dig up all three copies of Supply Crate, and then played one of them that turn, but it was still in play when I got the unlock. I had destroyed them earlier in the game. I never played Hasty Augmentation nor Scrap Metal, and I only played Powered Shockwave after I unlocked to clean up the rather crowded environment and villain play areas.
Got the unlock easily awhile back on Steam, tried Android today. Thanks to Meteor Storm, I have every bot (all at full hp) and every piece of equipment out, for multiple turns in a row. No unlock.
Either, there's something we're missing, or this is one of those "X can't ever be played" kind of things, so you can potentially prevent your own unlock.
Either there are cards you must not play or the specific way you get your bots out makes a difference, because I had every card of Unity’s in play by the end of the game* and had played at least one copy of each, with many of her bots put into play by Prime Wardens Argent Adept and Omnitron-X, and there was no unlock.
EDIT FOR CLARITY: That is to say, every bot and piece of equipment other than “Scrap Metal” was in play during the final two rounds of the game, and all the bots were at full health.
I feel like the fact that it triggers during the villain start of turn is some important part that we're missing.
Edit: Have we received any hints for this one?
Just that we're overcomplicating it.
MigrantP gave one during the intermission of the most recent Sentinels Live Stream.
Idea: Is the last bot that is played before the unlock set it up so that a certain set of Golems are in play?
Something like At the start of the Villain turn, Unity must have the following Golems in play: Cryo Bot, Turret Bot, Mr. Chomps. Maybe optionally some other effect has occurred as well.
(Note: My list above is just an example. Doesn’t need to be them specifically)
Wait....
Could it be that the bots have to be at full health for X turns or that they take no damage for X turns?
Not sure if this'll help or not, but got the unlock on Android, and when I did, the only thing Unity had in play were Golems (all of them). She had played a Supply Crate, but a Pervasive Red Dust took it out. I'm start to lean towards UXM's idea of "Golems (a Golem?) must survive X rounds in a 3 hero game." Something like that.
Reasonably certain there's at least one H=4 unlock out there.
Mine was H=5.
Maybe the unlock has to do with how many times equipment is destroyed and put into play. Did anyone unlocking this fall victim to a “Pervasive Red Dust” or two?
Unity can’t do it on her own.
She needs friends to help make more.
Well, the secret isn’t to put six bots in play between villain turns.
I decided to try doing something really weird, just to see what would happen.
What happened was no unlock.
(I notice that something weird happened at the top of the game, though, so I'm not 100% sure that this game counts? It seems to have checked for a lot of achievements that I already have?)
Anyway, I figured "why not see if you can get the achievement without Unity actually taking action during her own turn?"
To test this out, I pulled Santa Guise, Captain Cosmic, Greatest Legacy, Argent Adept, and Unity, and set them against Ambuscade on Mars.
I wound up sticking about 28 cards under Unity, and then flipped them all at once, and then skipped her next turn. Every bot was out; I lost one to Scrap Metal.
No unlock.
(I may test this again later, with a lot fewer actions for easier parsing.)
I suspect that Tachyon is needed on the team, as Unity is her intern. Not looked through to see if all the unlocks have a Tach, but mine certainly did.
There was an unlock with unity/sst/visionary and one with sentinels/knife/AZ/bunker/unity, so I doubt it's someone specific, so I think the condition may be out of turn effect based, not teammate based
I did it with AZ, Bunker, and Unity, so no out of turn actions for me at all. The only thing that happened out of turn was Pervasive Red Dust getting destroyed and putting some equipments back into play.
Was one of Unity's among them?
I feel like this week's weekly one-shot may be a hint? Even the flavour text is suggestive of getting tons of targets out. Maybe you need X number of hero targets in play at the start of the villain turn, where X is some interesting formula, possibly based on H, that someone needs to figure out?
Well, I got the unlock. Absolutely no clue what triggered it.
Unity, SS Tachyon, and Grandpa Legacy vs Ambuscade on Mars.
Ambuscade’s only card in play was his Cloaking Device. The environment had Meteor Storm, Villainous Weaponry, Oxygen Leak, and a fourth card, I’m not sure what, in play.
Unity had all her bots or all but 1 in play and one copy of every equipment except the one that returns a bot to your hand, though I’m pretty sure she played every card at least once.
we might have our answer if there are any Imbued Vitality shenanigans.
I think it might be something like
"Have X bots take 0 damage for 1 round"
Can somone who hasn't unlocked it test this? You can use the one-shot, or Meteor Storm to help!
I have, to at least a limited degree; I’ve had all her bots out and taking zero damage for three rounds of “Meteor Storm,” but got nothing (I quit there because I was getting so bored of scrolling through all the useless effects her bots were pulling off).
There is a reason why this weeks One-shot seems to favour this unlock…
hmmm
If anyone is still going for the unlock, I might suggest doing what I did: I tried to re-create Cokeandsympathy's successful unlock (referenced in the 3/21/17 post quoted above). By the end, I had in play 13 bots (so not all of them) and 4 equipments (2 Pylons, Volatile Parts, Workbench). 18 cards in hand, 2 in deck, 3 in trash. Unfortuntately, I can't remember how long I had the bots in play, or how long they stayed out there undamaged, but I know it was a while, because I was trying to do exactly what Cokeandsympathy did on his/her last turn (destroy a Supply Crate, play Scrap Metal/Powered Shock Wave, use Workbench to play a Bee Bot, then use Scrap Metal to put another Bee Bot back in hand). That setup, or something very close to it, had existed for at least 1-2 turns. On my last turn, I:
(1) Killed Ambuscade's cloaking device with Turret Bot (last card he had in play)
(2) Played Supply Crate and Scrap Metal
(3) Used Bot-Hack to destroy Supply Crate and play Bee Bot (I'm not sure if I had used Bot-Hack to play a bot before, but at some point during the game, I definitely put bots in play using every method possible, including the environment (Freedom Tower))
(4) Had bots try to do damage to an invisible Ambuscade
(5) Used Scrap Metal to put a Bee Bot back in hand.
…and on Ambuscade's turn, the unlock happened. So either (a) it was one of the actions I took on my last turn that fulfilled the unlock conditions, or (b) as of my last turn, enough of the right cards had been in play for the right number of turns to fulfill the unlock conditions. I believe people have gotten the unlock without doing any of the things I did on my last turn, so I'm leaning towards (b): Some number of bots/cards need to be in play for a certain number of rounds.
Hooray! The official unlock conditions for Termi-Nation Unity have been discovered by the community.
In a game with regular Unity on the team, more than 5 times (H) hero targets must be in play for a complete round (from the start of the villain turn through the end of the environment turn). Only hero targets that have HP printed on their card count.
Woohoo!
Ah, that explains while so many early unlocks were 3 hero games.
Boy howdy, I'm glad I brought Visionary...
Holy crap! :D
Hmm...So having CC and unity on a team could possibly be a good way to unlock.
Yah, it looks like CC and Unity along with out of turn/extra plays (SST or Argent) in Mars is probably the best bet. Buy time until a Meteor Storm hits and then drop all the things.
Mars is nice. I went the Realm of Discord route for Imbued Vitality
Did as suggested, went to Mars to fight Ambuscade with Captain Cosmic and RC Wraith in tow. I had AA instead of Wraith for a while, but then after trying to get an early Meteor Storm a few times I just decided to swap him out. Of course that try was when the storm decided to be the very first enviro card. :/ She was still useful though, helping the team avoid the Pervasive Red Dust or Countdown when she could. It was slow going, but after building up enough bots and constructs it all went pretty well.

I thought, from the "Hp must be printed on the card" disclaimer, Imbued Vitality wouldn't count toward the total.
I got my unlock against Gloomy at Mobile Defense… Cosmic, Omnitron-X, Unity: hardest part was willing myself to hit the low HP environment targets with Raptor Bot and not Gloomy to avoid killing him too quickly.
Got it. CC, Unity, Sentinels in Wagner vs Blade. Hid behind a meteor swarm whele Cosmic and Unity dropped bots and constructs.
Team Leader Tachyon, Cosmic, Unity, Argent Adept, and Grandpa Legacy versus Ambuscade at Wagner worked really well. Takes longer because of the number of heroes, but all the out of turn draws, plays, and powers really speeds things up. Also got a Meteor storm first round, which really helped out.
Hello. Sorry for Necro-ing a dead thread but I discovered something about unlocking Termi-Nation Unity that I thought worth sharing. I’ve already posted this on the Steam forums but it makes sense to post it here, too.
I unlocked Termi-Nation Unity without doing what the official unlock posted to this thread (and other guides I’ve found online) tell you to do. I did something similar but not quite the same and it worked.
I didn’t mean to do it, I was trying to do what the guide said.
Let me explain.
I read the guide and saw that I needed to keep 5(H) Hero Targets in play for an entire round. I didn’t read any advice on how to do it; I enjoy seeing what I’ve got to do and then figuring out the How by myself. So the conclusion I reached was to use TLTachyon in the first slot, then Unity then Luminary. Just the three heroes, I planned to use Luminary’s Doomsday Device to get back loads of his devices from his trash all at the same time. I figured 15 would be easier with Unity and Luminary than making it 20 with any other Hero also in the team.
So the game proceeds.
And I reach the point where I manage to get 15 targets in play at the end of the round. Great, now to survive the next round …
Bad luck! Omnitron just did 5 damage to all Hero Targets, all Luminary’s devices die. Never mind, I still have his Doomsday Device and can get them back and try next round. Which is precisely what I do in Luminary’s turn.
At the end of the Environment Turn … I unlock Termi-Nation Unity.
So just to be clear …
I did NOT have 5(H) Hero Targets in play for an entire round.
But I DID have 5(H) Hero Targets in play at the start of the round and 5(H) Hero Targets in play at the end of the round, too.
And that was enough to get her.
