Guise is on the hunt for Heroic Infinitor with the help of the Hunted Naturalist, Argent Adept, and the Sentinels.   Like any good detective in the Multiverse the search begins in Rook City.  Good Luck!

Mint.

I learned that when Guise uses "I Can Do That, Too!" on Hunted Naturalist, he gets a cartoonish form icon on his page.

So naturally, I took it to the next level. After that, using "Uh, Yeah, I'm That Guy" can give you all the perks of being a Naturalist.

I finished the game by the second villain card play so I didn't get to setup those cartoonish animals for Guise to morph into.

Mint, played out it like I would any traditional Heroic Infinitor match. Tank, heal and soak up to the very best of your ability, and then just let Infinitor solve all of his problems for you when he locks into his infinite loop after emptying his deck of manifestations. Works like a charm every time :)

Mint, on the Sentinels' second card play, playing Blackout on Heroic Infinitor. A delicious victory.

Mint.  That was a lot harder than it should have been.  I went for the same Blackout LewdDolphin did, but... Infintor was a hero, so he didn't show up in the initial list of targets, and I somehow failed to see the "show all targets" button and went after a manifestation instead. *ducks head in shame*  So I played it out rather than rewind, since Heroic Infinitor isn't all that difficult, for all that it's boring.

dammit

Why didn't I think of that? D: Well, it was still a fun and easy fight. Got to see what Powerhound was talking about, vis-a-vis Tremata and Heroic Infinitor.

When you say "locks into his infinite loop," what do you mean?  When he flips and starts dealing damage to everything?

When all of his Manifestations are in play, Infinitor plays all of his one-shots every turn, dealing 5 packets of 1 damage to all characters each on his turns.  Pretty much ends the game shortly thereafter.

Got it.  I never got far enough into Infinitor's deck to see it; Blackout on the Sentinels second card play did the trick.  Mint.

Yeah, it's the most reliable way of beating Heroic Infinitor if you don't have any handy tricks to make him do damage outside of his own turn. Once all his manifestations are out, the game *should* end on Infinitor's next turn, provided you've made sure he has enough HP left to survive his madness loop longer than his remaining manifestations.

Honestly, I've never even seen Heroic Infinitor flip, and unless you're playing to deliberately flip him as soon as possible (for some arcane reason), I doubt most teams could even hope to survive that situation.

Yeah initially when I read Heroic Infinitor it seemed like it would be rare to not have him flip.  In playing him though you don't see him flip at all.   With his Challenge rules upcoming I don't think I'll play him any other way once it's in the video game.

What are the Challenge mode rules for Heroic Infinitor, out of curiosity? I don't think I've seen those yet?

If only there were a weekly twitch stream where that information would be revealed!

^This.  I'm pretty sure they'll show it in their stream soon.  They gave the option last week of whether to reveal Chokepoint or Heroic Infinitor which the cats chose Chokepoint.

I played one advanced match where he flipped on his first turn, due to some bad combination of manifestations exclusively hitting Infinitor.

Did you survive the experience?

I had the same thing happen. 3-H team where Heroic Infinitor was the highest HP. AA and F6 Unity were two of them. Manifestations came out: Twisted Miscreation, Lambent Reaper x3. GG front half of Infinitor. Given the team I had, I had no prayer - with no time to set up, I lost very quickly.

I had a game of regular heroic infinitor where he did flip and i thought i was going to lose. I had a 3-H team of Dark visionary, DW Nightmist, and a 3rd hero who i don't remeber who got incaped almost imeadaitly. I was playing in final wasteland and had con's bunker, the library, and unforgiving out. I had already gotten a bend the ether on infintior so when he fliped i just cocooned and Nightmist had her eldar god amulet. i organized the damage from infintor to not kill the enviroments but that the 2 damage that they deal themselves would removing them all from the game and between all the extra card draw from the enviroment, double skipping, and the incaped hero nightmist was able to redirect enough damage to stay alive. It ended with visonary having her entire deck in hand, having 2 bend the ethers on infinitor and just playing mind spike while nightmist redirected damage back to infinitor.

I think I've only had him flip (not trying to flip him) on advanced. At which point, there is no hope of winning.

I did not survive :(. At some point I just reset because I couldn't overcome the damage.

Mint. No sweat.

I have played Heroic Infinitor 60-70 times on the video game, and I've had him flip on me 3 times. I actually turned two of those into victories. I don't remember exactly how, because it has been a while, but I know that one of them involved Nightmist being the only hero left and there was a certain helpful set of incap abilities.  She may have even ended near full HP. I remember it being epic, with Nightmist nearly biting the dust (mist?) on multiple occasions.

Also it took more than 2 hours.

After he flipped.

On the video game. :open_mouth:

Just a note that Heroic Infinitor's win condition might be another one of those nice endings where it comes up with the little slider that says "Hey, you killed all the manifestations, You win.  Slide to continue" or whatever.  Obviously if you've carefully read the card, you know what you're trying to do, but sometimes in the AE madness of targets flitting by, you can miss that the last manifestation finally went down.

Mint on the second round. Super easy. Just wait out the first round, then get everything down to 1, and Blackout Infinitor for the win.
