The Sentinels in Zhu Long

I’m wondering if there’s a special ruling that applies here that I’m unaware of.
Playing in the Temple, Dr. Medico and Idealist became incapacitated.
I discarded the required number of cards for Rites of Revival.
I then got the message “7 hero cards have been discarded, but no heros are incapacitated!” (Not sure of the exact wording, it was quite quick.)

Each of the Sentinels are certainly a hero character card, and the word “Incapacitated” is clearly printed on their back side.
They’re even refered to as “Incapacitated” on some of their own cards.

Any insight?

They aren’t incapacitated unless all 4 of them are. The four of them, collectively, count as one hero. So if all 4 of them were down, you could have brought them all back at once with the Rites.

Is that how it works? All 4 at once, you say?

Hmm. Makes sense in a way, but the use of the word Incapacitated for individual Sentinels in other instances threw me off.

It’s in the Vengeance rulebook, if you have the actual game. It doesn’t mention the Temple, because Villains of the Multiverse came out after Vengeance, but it uses Plague Rat, which uses similar wording for Infections.

So if you rez them with the ritual, how many of them come back?

Only one 

All 4 need to be incapped to bring back 1!? Yikes!
You know, I’ve always liked the Sentinels, but I’m getting to like them even more now that I’m learning what situations their uniqueness causes them to excel in and what situations they have extra trouble with.

One advantage to only having 1 revived by the Temple is that the remaining 3 are still able to damage the Environment targets; it wouldn't make much sense otherwise.

So revive Medico, and have HIM revive the others.
