Just making this thread here so we have a place to discuss the unlock conditions for K.N.Y.F.E.'s variant.

So, KNYFE went rogue because she saw hints of OblivAeon's coming (or possibly just Progeny's).  Pretty vague.  Her bio does mention "the more assignments she successfully completed," so it's possible this unlock will come from, at least in part, winning multiple games with her.  My best guess would be, "win X games with KNYFE, then do Y while fighting Progeny/meet Y condition and then beat Progeny."

it might require chokepoint, one of her cards depicts clasic knyfe

Technially, that's Choke on the card, not Chokepoint, though

I'd argue it's chokepoint considering it's in chokepoint's deck.

That card, Material Upheaval, also shows the Adamant Sentinels in Chokepoint's deck and there have been plenty of other artwork where original versions of the character show up instead of their variant versions even though the comic issue is at a much later time.

so my bet is that the block is key here, in terms of deck selection

It's not a victory condition, so the most likely alternative is "play a certain series of cards." She has quite a few of her buffing cards out, and we know that it was unlocked during the Power Phase. So likely after she's done some damage. The comment left on the screenshot says that she herself destroyed a number of Agents, which matches the theme of going rogue. In the absence of needing certain cards in play, it's almost certainly this. Perhaps she has to destroy X agents, or 1 of each Agent card?

Got this one as well. Had all of her cards out except for over do it and destroyed an agent with primed punch and flawless execution.

I've been trying this one myself with no success for a while, using the methodology of "get all of KNYFE's stuff out, then have her kill agents with flawless execution, Primed punch, and various other cards/powers."  I've racked up quite a kill count, but nothing so far.

I begin to suspect that this one has a qualifying condition, something you have to do before going on a rampage in the Block.

Pricy: Have you beaten the V5 yet with KNYFE?  Lost to them?

that might well be important.  My next attempt will be to:

Lose to the V5 (without KNYFE)

Then, beat the V5 (with KNYFE)

Then, go to the Block and beat up agents.

Anyone know if the hall of fame spot for it already been taken? I wouln't want to steal it from the first unlocker if they want it but if they have no intentions of claiming the spot then I might as well.

Could be a PW Fanatic thing, where you have to kill a certain number of each Agent. I took out Hoeffel with the PP/FE combo, but got nothing. Might need Infiltrate and Obfuscate, too. Or Kinetic Neutralizer, given that it’s in her name.

Also, I don’t like that you can’t destroy a Conduit Blade and play another Conduit Blade. I thought that exact interaction was the whole reason we added that “play an equipment card” rider during playtesting, in the first place.

If you can play another copy of Focused Conduit Blade off the destruction then there are a lot of rulings that would have to revisited.

To a certain extent, I think the problem resulted in the ruling that came after that cards need to stay in play until there text is done. When Vengeance was being tested, I don’t recall that being the case, but I am often wrong.

Still, it sucks that the ONE INTERACTION that rider was designed for is impossible, because potatoes.

Well just play in Freedom Tower and keep Caspit's Playground out which means you have lots of options.

Just got my unlock vs. Ambuscade in The Block.  Team was KNYFE, Parse, AA, TLT, and Grandpa Legacy.  It went on so long that by the end, I was using Rhapsody of Vigor to heal Ambuscade, since the mean old Filter agents kept smacking him and threatening to end the game.  I also got it with a Primed Punch to a Guard (specifically a Guard), with all her stuff (aside from Go For It) out.  This was NOT the first Guard I Primed Punched with everything out.  She had killed 2 Officers (via the power on Primed Punch) and 1 Guard (via the power).  This was the second Guard she had killed with the start of turn portion (so 3 guards total).  The warden never hit the table, all 3 inmate types did, and she had killed all of them at least once.

So tried for the unlock on my android tablet, and changed a few things.  I moved KNYFE to later in the turn order, and I swapped Parse for RC Wraith to speed up the environment.  I was killing things for so long that eventually my tablet ran out of juice, so I just ended the game.  I thought at first that maybe Rogue needed to be in the leader spot, but I saw an unlock on Steam where she wasn't, so I'm not sure what I was doing wrong, but it seems like I'm missing something.

In the interest of finding the unlock (since I haven't managed ot get it for either steam or phone yet):

Things that we know: It requires KNYFE to be in the party.  Environment is the Block. It revolves around eliminating Agents.

Things that we suspect: Several of her ongoings/equipments must be in play.

Things that might delay/invalidate the attempt

1. It is possible that if KNYFE kills the Warden, the attempt is invalidated.

2. It is possible that if KNYFE uses "Overdo it" the attempt is invalidated. (as far as I can tell, everyone who has unlocked it did so while "Overdo it" was never played)

3. It might be necessary for "Lock Down" to be in play at least some of the time when KNYFE kills agents- she's getting in and taking them out even when everything is on full alert.

The official unlock condition for K.N.Y.F.E. Rogue Agent has been discovered by the community:

In a game with regular K.N.Y.F.E. in The Block, have K.N.Y.F.E. destroy 5 Agents other than Warden Hoefle. K.N.Y.F.E. may not destroy Warden Hoefle.

I good suggestion is to bring in Dark Visionary on the Block. One game took me forever and nothing. Using her, I was able to stack the deck.

I gotta say, I like this unlock.  I was worried when people were reporting the whole "with all her stuff out", because I hate unlocks with those conditions.  However, the unlock itself is fairly simple, and the fact that Warden Waffle (his name at our table) invalidates it is an interesting twist; hard to discover, but not hard to perform, nice.

Btw, for my final unlock, I think an optimal team-up is:

Ambuscade vs. RC Wraith, AA, Granpda Legacy, Haka, and KNYFE (obviously) in the Block

RC Wraith performs a function similar to Dark Visionary, but she actually speeds up the environment, allowing you to (with assistance) play 3 extra cards a turn, which KNYFE can easily clean up with an Amplified Combatant or Incidental Contact.  Haka can Savage Mana the inmates (and Waffle) and cloaking device away to streamline the whole thing.  I got it super fast using this combo.

So, she needs to shoot the deputies, but can't shoot the sheriff.

Got it, and Naturalist, in the same game. I had previously won two games with Naturalist (Ambuscade with Rhino, Blade with Gazelle) so I made this one Voss at the Block. Took care of both requirements at once. Easy.

Good lord, do I wish there was a way to remove Prison Riot from the deck.

I've been playing for two hours and that card has brought the Environment deck to empty three times. I think I've seen three agents, maybe. When it's not a Prison Riot, it's DR or Lockdown.

Edit: And that was the second attempt; I was going for a twofer, and I figured to make it faster/easier, minimum party, so first time it was KNYFE, Naturalist, and Grandpa Legacy (to give KNIFE more power uses and heal her)... which fell apart when the DR field came out and stayed out since nobody had enough damage to get rid of the inmates.

Second round was AA, KNYFE and Naturalist, so AA could get rid of the pesky environment cards, which ended in a stalemate when I got tired of waiting for Agent cards to come up.

I guess I'll toss in Dark Visionary next time I give it a go.

You could include Rook City Wraith and Omnitron-X as well.

They can both speed up the Environment deck.

Dark Vis, RC Wraith, Greatest Legacy, O-X and Knyfe in that order. Dark vis tries to put agents on top, Wraiths puts agents in play and other cards in the trash, legs gives another shot of whatever you need power, top card in play control or acceleration. O-X can put the agent in play in a pinch and accelerates Knyfe. Is five man optimal maybe not but they each contribute to make it faster.

I used Knyfe, DV, The Sentinels, O-X and Greatest Legs.

Writhe's Extract thinned the Environment deck, burning Char, Defensive emplacements, and the like so that they didnt' even enter play.

Yeah, I eventually got it with a team of Rook City Wraith, Omnitron-X, and Dark Visionary helping out. Though half of OX's power uses ended up on KNYVE for set-up or extra damage.

Took me forever even with RC Wraith, because her power is useless when Prison Riot empties the environment deck... Had Grandpa Legacy to help her put multiple agents in play a turn, but only worked out that way maybe once.
