Legacy, Haka, The Visionary and Fanatic vs. Baron Blade in Megalopolis.

A pretty standard fight here, although it does start in an interesting way...

I've considered the Price of Victory...

Done considering.  That was easy.

Mint.  Bit of a breather.  The start is vicious, but Blade simply doesn't have the damage output required to take down this team in the time it takes for them to take him down, and none of the real problem cards from Megalopolis ever show their faces.

Yep. One of the easiest Mints I’ve gotten.

Minted as well without trouble, so i'm going to guess next week isnt going to be as kind.

It's clear that this was an attempt to have Baron Blade's 15 cards in the trash condition pay off. But focusing fire on Blade just outpaces him somehow pushing another 6 cards into the trash.

This might have been tough if it were advanced Blade. ended the fight by having Visionary drop a train on Blade's head.

The start reminded me of how I once had a Prime Wardens game against Blade where in the middle of the game he dropped all 4 Hasten Dooms in a row and finished off with a Devious Disruption. Still won, but egads did that one hurt as everyone got a solid half their HP taken off in one go, not to mention 5 cards to the trash.

But yeah, this one might have been more hairy if it were Advanced. I won't complain about a nice softball now and then, though.

Fun and easy. I've been playing PW Haka so much lately, I had to reorient on how to play the original flavor!

Mint.

Wresting the "Mind" of the Monorail was fun.

Nothing works like a mind-controlled mode of public transportation to derail Blade's plans. To take Blade off track. To punch Blade's ticket. To....?

Legacy at 22HP, Haka and Fanatic at 20HP and Visionary at 19HP.

Sorry for the double post, but does anyone think this is one-shot is a precursor to Vengeance? Like it's telling the story of the V5?

As in, Blade suffers a humilating defeat here and then is inspired to form a team of his own...

WIll other one-shots continue to tell the story in coming weeks prior to the release?

We will have to wait and see.   Normally when previews start the actual release doesn't occur until a few weeks after they've gone through all the new content.   They still have Fright Train to show, the rest of the Vengeance heroes, and two Environments.

Right. I just had dreams of a mini-story mode of weekly one-shots in my head. Other than Blade's defeat, I'm not sure what other story they could tell, anyway...

But I do know what I want Santa Guise to bring me this year--VENGEANCE!

I would be very happy with a Christmas present of Vengeance. It would be an actual good way to cap off what's been a pretty terrible year.

You could try to finish off the unlock conditions for Santa Guise.   All the information is there and MigrantP has confirmed part of the conditions.

While I don't know if Vengeance will be done that quickly(I'm actually surprised they've gotten as far as they have with how much content this update will be), I admit it would be nice. But for now I'm content with the stream showing new things every so often, showing that they're still hard at work. :)

Twas an easy win. A fun one too. I like dit how there was more than one way to do it. One mistake wouldn't cause you to lose.

I'm glad they do offer some easier games, as breathers and for newer, or inexperienced players.

Mint; heroes were at 20, 19, 15, 15

Spoiler:

(I was going to Brain Burn the villain deck, so instead of getting out Wrest the Mind to redirect the monorail, I wasted a turn getting out Decoy Projection, causing Legacy to take 5 more damage than he should have, and probably giving Blade an extra turn of life.).

a comfy weekly after last week is just what we needed. i opted for the overkill wrathful retribution kill to set blade to -24 hp from 4.

Near Mint, as I accidentally put Chastise on the Traffic Pileup.  Ouch.

I now have a mental image of Fanatic holding up traffic by lecturing a speeder while the other Wardens look apologetic and/or weary.
