It’s Vogon Warlord Voss, come to destroy Earth! Fend him off with Scholar Dent, Ford Tempest, and The Wraith as Trillian!

How will you fare?

(I, for one, got an easy mint, with 29, 21, and 21 hp, and never saw a single ship.)

I loved this one. It was really easy, with proper use of Smoke Bombs and Infrared Eyepieces, but the theming was really fun. I maybe would have liked to see Sky-Scraper in there as Zaphod (or La Comodora since she has the ship and what not; too bad she doesn’t exist yet), but whatever. I’m also a bit disappointed that it didn’t start out with both ships, right off the bat, but that’s ok. I’d rather have it be winnable.

This was a fun one.   A game that shows the value in Infrared Eyepiece since if you left things as is you'd likely see both ships.

Never used the Eyepiece, but only saw one ship (and took it out pretty quickly). A fun Mint, and the second Voss victory (out of four fights!) I've had today! :D

I considered Sky-Scraper as Zaphod but it didn't really seem to fit. Only too late I just realized I could have included Omnitron-X as Marvin, though!

Mint.

Fun one–I ended up using Tempest as a healing machine, which meant that Scholar was dealing lots of damage with his forms. I think it ended up this way because Tempest got into single digits pretty quickly due to my not paying attention, and I had to start making it rain. Glad I packed my towel!

Infrared Eyepiece was very helpful, too.

Ended with Scholar at full health, Tempest at 13, and Wraith at 19.

Yeah, that’s how I did it too. I started off using hurricane, but switched to downpour once that started being more helpful.

I got Mint, but ended at 2/1/2.

When I realized Tempest was at 9 (with the others at 20) I took drastic measures, and set some Smoke Bombs. Unfortunately, I only saw 1 Flesh to Iron, that I had to quickly destroy, so most of Scholar's game was blocking the Vogons from doing damage, and healing a little bit. Tempest did lots of damage and Wraith was shooting all around.

Mint.  Easy, but long.  I started out cautiously, keeping Voss on his front side.  Then I decided that the game would take forever that way, and killed off his last minion.  Things got a little hairy when the Main Computer Room brought out a Forced Deployment, which immediately triggered and brought out 9 minions, but Get Out of the Way! and Greivous Hail Storm took care most of them easily.  I also got a little bit of excitment when Don't Dismiss Anything brought out an Inventory Barrage on Wraith's fully set up board.

Went double Flesh to Iron > Smokebombs ASAP, with Tempest topping off for the first half then doing nukes for the last half, GG good game. Won it at max HP across the board! Smokebombs were the MVP.

I never could get the hang of Thursdays. But I got a straightforward Mint cover! The Mortal Form to Energy/Solid to Liquid/Cleansing Downpour engine did well. I also got to use a fun Into the Stratosphere followed by Infrared Eyepiece to banish the TCF Conqueror. In the end,a round that consisted of Know When to Turn Lose, a Shackles-enhanced Chain Lightning and Grievous Hail Storm, and a 16-point Inventory Barrage finished the warlord off.

That’s interesting: I usually figure Voss is easier on his flip side, because the total villain damage output is likely the same as or lower than two Minions would produce, plus his shields are weaker.

It usually depends on which minions he has out and how many players you have. If it's a 3-hero game, armor and healing will basically undo his damage easily. In a 5-hero game, the 3 damage to the lowest HP hero adds up fast.

If Voss is advanced, the extra play on his flip side means that deck control is a lot harder.  Also, minion damage can sometimes be completely controlled, like fire damage at Ra or AZ.  Still, this strategy works better if you have Mr. Fixer or Engine of War Bunker around to punch through irreducible damage.

Easy and amusing mint. Flesh to Iron and Smoke Bombs like most others, ships never came out, and nobody ended below 20 HP. Most of the damage on Voss was from the Localized Hurricane, and the one Forced Deployment that came out was tossed Into the Stratosphere and then Eyepieced to the bottom of the deck.

I did do one dumb thing and discarded to keep Scholar's Forms even though Fixed Point was out, but it didn't make much difference.

It was instructive, though, in that I usually have Rift in Time just destroy itself, but I realized this game that keeping it out front renders cards like Crushing Hallway, well, mostly harmless (Ha-HAH!).

Mint. Almost went awry; I brought out Localized Hurricane right away, which did not play well with the Surprise Shopping Trip. Tempest was down to 2 HP at one point. Thankfully, enough healing and smoke bombs and he was back in the fight.

I used Mortal Form-to-Energy as my major damage source, but I find Scholar a bit of a pain when he doesn't have lots of additional draws or out of turn plays. I suppose you could leave both the Atlantean Throne Room and the Main Computer Room in play to boost his card draw, but I wasn't playing that risky.

... Huh. You know, I always destroyed Main Computer Room as soon as I could, so I didn't even realize it gave heroes a draw.

Mint.
I used Iron Scholar for a couple rounds then switched to EEL when DDA put Cleansing Downpour into play. I left the environment targets in play as lomg as possible so I could get 2 really nice Get Out if the Way plays.
Tempest started with Hurricane, switching to Downpour on turn 3. Shopping was painful but he still had 11 HP at game end. He used his One-Shots for damage.
Wraith used the Eyepiece and Knives every possible round, choosing Scholar as her 3rd target so he would have an HP deficit to fuel his engine. An 18pt Inventory Barrage put Voss down.
