Gloomweaver against Argent Adept, America's Greatest Legacy, and Guise at Tomb of Anubis.   Get rid for lots of power uses, card plays, and card draws.  Good luck.

Mint. That was a fun one! Lots of complex turns and cool combos.

Relic victory with Gimmicky Character to discard the book and Cedistic Dissonant to deal with the other 2 relics plus all the vodoo pins that came up.

When I discussed the 'most complicated turn' possible for Sentinels with one of the other regulars on Twitch, I brought up Argent Adept, Grandpa Legacy, and Guise. It's nice to know that less than a week later, I get to test that out against the resident punching bag. My only grief with it is that the game can end too quickly, and I've only pulled off 7 or so inexplicably long chains of card interactions (like Argent using a power to gain a power, to give Guise a power to use a card to gain Legacy's power to give Legacy a power to give Argent a power to give Guise 3 card plays so that Guise can then use Argent's power to draw/play cards, so that he can deal upwards of 30 damage in a nonsensical burst) before all the relics mysteriously end up in the trash either by well-timed Jumping the Sharks or some other shenanigans involving Argent blowing up an Instrument for a low-loss kill.

This seems like a test in patience . Take your time , or no mint if you rewind. This could be fun, never thought of gimmicky character.

I won by straight out beating up Gloomy and only saw his second Relic.

Mint. Lots of fun, and satisfyingly exciting to have Gimmicked the Tome into the trash on the same round I was able to beat the third relic into submission.

I sense they're getting desperate for us to figure out the Santa Guise unlock. :V

Mint, with lots of Guise cards and Guise card plays. I had two rounds of Guise the Barbarian, Super-Ultra Kawaii, Selling Out, and Blatant Reference, and even with all the card plays I still had half of Guise's deck in his hand by the end of the game. I only ever saw one Relic (Pouch of Bones) and the zombies didn't do much because of Fortitude, at least before Strength of the Grave came out, but regardless I was never in any real danger.

Minted easily enough. Unlocked Santa Guise as well. Not a single clue how, but it just happened in the middle of the game during one of my long power chains. Saw all three relics and won with them in the trash as per usual.

I totally expected to be using Santa Guise for this one, I mean the title and the description sort of scream it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I would read the description and it makes sense why it isn't Santa Guise.

"I would read the description and it makes sense why it isn't Santa Guise."

I'm pretty new to the game, tbh. How so?

edit: because it's designed to help you unlock Santa Guise?

Guise's comment in the description is that this is meant to help figure out the unlock conditions for Santa Guise

Welcome to thr forum!

The little blurb about what to expect in this one-shot hints at how to be "giving", with the not-so-subtle wink to the audience.

Also, It seems a lot of people have unlocked Santa Guise, but no non-playtester knows how!

I'm just hoping to see new discussion in regards to his unlock here or on the Steam forums about it from this.

Minted with AA 24, OL 26, and Guise 27.

As someone who loves spending forever playing Argent Adept, Captain Cosmic, Hunted Naturalist, Guise, Nightmist, Omnitron-X, Parse and Old Man Legacy to turn those over, I loved this one and the two hours I spent trying to maximize my abuse of Argent Adept and Guise. Vunderbar!

My table would hate me if I tried to replicate this in person.

Mint.

I didn't time my Gimmicy Characters to do the relic victory, but Guise got enough barbarian-fueled power uses and sold-out card plays to take out Gloomy.

HP of all heroes 23-25.

Mint.

All three relics were sent packing into the trash thanks to always having a Gimmicky Character to play, and being very lucky. Didn't do much damage, as Gloomweaver had max HP at the end of the game. All of the heroes were in the 22-25 range.

Easy Mint.  Had Gloomy down under 20 HP when Gimmicky Character discarded the final relic (second time I hit on Gimmicky Character - tried three times and got two Relics and a Cursed Acolyte). We'd already punched out the Pouch of Bones and then Cedistic Dissonanted it away when it got brought out of the trash.  I spent most of the match bouncing powers around and having Guise and AA draw cards.

I've had Santa Guise for a while, so I'm no help on that front.

Fun and easy Mint with pants-on-head levels of crazy combos flying everywhere. Poor Gloomy got sent packing home on a Relic Win with everyone at full health thanks to Gimmicky Character, Cedistic Dissonance and good, old fashioned, brutal, double-inspiring presence-boosted blatant barbarian references! :)

I got Santa Guise during this, I'm not sure EXACTLY what the conditions were. I had:

Legacy with Fortitude, Next Evolution, and Inspiring Presence.

Guise who had played Guise the Barbarian, Super Ultra Kawaii, and used Super Ultra Kawaii to play Selling Out! (yes, all of the card plays)

During Selling Out (One-shots), I used Gimmicky Character for an extra card play of any type and played "Uh, yeah, I'm that guy!" on Legacy before chaining Best Card Ever!s together. I'm not sure exactly when Santa Guise unlocked during that.

Given the text for the one-shot involves Guise specifically calling out grandpa Legacy and "THAT card", I imagune "Uh, yeah, I'm that guy!" on Legacy is a big part of it. Probably with either Inspiring Presence (Inspiring PRESENTS?) and/or Next Evolution (because Santa Guise in the next evolution of Guise.. harhar?)

Mint and Santa Guise here, as well, with a relic win executed by damage. Holy crud there are a lot of off-turn combos with these three. Inspiring Presence + Uh, Yeah, I’m That Guy + Guise the Barbarian + Blatant Reference is just a bonkers way to deal damage.

Something on an off-turn card play got me the Santa Guise promo. I don’t recall exactly, unfortunately.

I have to say, when Guise high-fived Legacy and said “For liberty! Truth! And JUSTIN!” I laughed out loud. Also, his air guitar and, err, “vocalizing.”

Mint. As expected.

I started this game last night, but I was tired enough so that working my way through the combos was impossible. I closed the app, and decided to sleep before I tried it again. When I came back to the game, combos kept flying about so that I couldn't have kept them straight had the game been on the tabletop. As it was, I forgot whose turn I was on a few times. I am so much more suited to straight-up damage races....

Long story short, I beat down two relics and got rid of the third with Gimmicky Character. Gloomy still had 80 hp, Guise had 26, Legacy had 22, and the Adept had 8, since I had been ignoring the Sable Pin which was attached to him.

On a less stellar note, on the victory screen, Guise was nowhere to be seen, with just a brick wall and hp box to show where he should have been.

Mint. Slowly ground away at Gloomy's hp total while ignoring almost everything else. I've had Santa since my second game I played with Guise, so I'm afraid I am no help there.
