So I’ve had this experience a few times now.

I learned that I was playing something incorrectly in the tabletop version of the game because of what happens in the video game. Has this happened to anyone else?

Here’s what I discovered today.

  1. Wager Master’s “Breaking the Rules” causes each player to draw TWO cards at the End of Turn, presumably because you haven’t played a card or used a power that turn. Even though you probably will.
  2. Also dealing with Breaking the Rules: If a card effect, such as Scholar’s “Know When to Hold Fast” or Nightmist’s “Mist-Fueled Recovery,” causes you to immediately end your turn, you get to immediately have a second turn!

As a side-note Darkwatch Nightmist + Breaking the Rules = stack your own deck.

There was discussion of #1 recently. It's indeed surprising, but logically follows. (In general, Breaking the Rules appears to be pretty good for the heroes.)

Are we sure that #2 isn't a bug?

It actually makes perfect, logical sense.

Turn order normally has "End of Turn" last.  Now "End of Turn" is first.  So The Scholar Draws 5 cards and goes to his "End of Turn" phase.  WHich is now Followed by his Power Phase.

Number two is not a bug and something they confirmed with Christopher.  They tried showing it on the stream they showed Wager Master with and couldn't at the time due to a UI issue.

Edit: MigrantP even shows it happening in a screenshot he took before Mini pack three release https://twitter.com/migrantp/status/734719414201942016

Yeah, we had to revamp the whole undo system to deal with that. Fun!

By 'fun' you mean, "this was an interesting challenge, and I'm glad we figuresd it out, but if Chris comes up with somethig else this crazy, I just might punch him."

Right?
