Has there been any word on when we'll be getting the Prime Wardens variants? It seems odd to me they wouldn't have come with Wrath of the Cosmos, and the minipack ends Season 1, so are we going to have to wait for Vengeance?
It didn't come with Wrath due to size taken up by Kaargra. As to when they release the Prime Wardens it could be any time since updates from the KS seem to indicate they'll release them as they have time.
They'll come when the come, and we'll get them when we do.
MigrantP has said that they're not going to be tying the variants to big releases anymore, because having them seperate gives them more flexibility, and Adam more freedom to provide art when he can. Each variant has a good chunk of art attached, and Adam was swamped at the time of WotC, so releasing 5 new variants at once was a no-go. It's a logistical problem, not a thematic one.
I understand that GtG has been busy with OblivAeon. I get that Mini-Pack 3 has consumed all of Handelabra's time. But holy $%^# the wait for the Prime Wardens is killing me here. I don't want them to hold off the release of the Season 2 Preview pack (Setback? yes please) and the new Phone version, but I'm really hoping we get them some time this summer.
