No puns for me, just trying to figure out if I can afford this and buy a new video card. 

I warn my students on the first day of class that I don't claim to have told a good joke in my life, but that's not going to stop me from trying.

Call me an Idealist, but hopefully the fans from this forum will be the Mainstay support for the kickstarter.

In all seriousness, I'd really like a pledge level that simply has a pass for Season 2 and all the soundtracks. Closes I can see is the $75 level, but that has extra passes I don't need(I'm fairly certain that I've convinced everyone I can to play Sentinels Digital who will play at all).

Please forgive my constant prattle, but the level you want is uncatchable. You could perform some slight of hand when pledging and select the $25 level and then add an extra $25 for the soundtrack add ons from the first update.

I need to Bunker down and think of some more good puns to post.

To give the campaign a Rhapsody of Vigor reaching the funding goal means backers at $5 level or higher will get Volume 1 of Season 2 music.    Even if you don't play the game that makes it entirely worth a $5 pledge as Jean-Marc's music is awesome.  

Puns aside, after a very good first 24 hours, funding has slowed to a crawl. I'm a little disappointed after seeing how well Oblivaeon did. I hope it funds, but I'm less optimistic than I was when it first launched. 

A slow down is pretty normal for Kickstarter campaigns. It's a bit unreasonable to expect it to perform the same as the OblivAeon campaign. However, this weekend is PAX East and we're hoping to get a lot of new backers from that and the associated media coverage. Plus we've got lots of things planned to keep interest up over the next 3 weeks!

Oh definitely! I know it's unrealistic, but I just hope everything Sentinels experiences explosive growth and unreasonable popularity all the time. I've spent a totally excessive number of hours on the SotM video game so far (thanks Steam for reminding me of that every time I boot up the game, at least my iPad lets me play Sentinels without silent judgement of my addiction) and season 2 was an instant back. Hopefully things go great for GtG and Handelabra at Pax this weekend and you can drum up lots of renewed interest for a second surge!

Here's hoping! I do wish it would get Oblivaeon performance but I know it's unrealistic.

Unfortunately now I'm thrown back to the hard choice I had to make the other day: Buy a new video card or back the kickstarter. It was easy to put the video card off while my current video card was still working, but now my current video card isn't working. No modern games for me until I get a new one.

I guess I could marathon the hell out of Planescape: Torment until June. Or Diablo II. Or Starcraft. Or uhm any of the old infinity engine games since I have them all on GoG.

So who's excited for the Hero Theme Music they are going to be doing (possibly as Stretch Goals but definitely announced)?

Even the Vengeance theme by itself is great. Really looking forward to new music.

I take back what I said earlier about being pessimistic! Handelabra's strategy over the last few days, especially with giving some background and information about their process and the costs involved and then adding "squish goals" and revealing stretch goals today has seen a big jump in activity!

I went and found all of their tweets and facebook posts linking to the KS and shared them... hopefully we can jumpstart those social goals a little bit too.

So...  I wonder who the digital first variant will be?  I thought I might narrow it down with info we got from the Obivaeon Kickstarter.

Assuming the variant is a hero, I think the possibilities are:

This is derived from culling down the list of 67 hero variant cards we are aware of (Sky-Scraper counts for 3 of those), removing those already available and those related to heroes we can't play as yet in the game.  I doubt we'd be getting an Xtreme Prime Warden prior to the Prime Wardens variants, and the Freedom Five variants will probably be a set, leaving Visionary Unleashed, Captain Cosmic Combo, Omnitron-U, Extremist Sky-Scraper and Setting Sun Ra...

My money would probably be on Visionary.  The Captain Cosmic, Omnitron-X and Sky-Scraper variants seem like a set of variants that will release at the same time and Ra was part of the final stretch goal, so he seems more fitting to show up with the Freedom Five.  Still, I guess we'll see!

My bet is on Visionary or Ra. Mostly for the same reasons listed above, my take on Ra as "the penultimate variant" giving me a different point of view.

I'm betting on the black horse and saying it's going to be Omni-U or Compound Cosmic. Neither has a variant yet in game, so it would be more fair to give one of them the spot.

Hmm, that idea has a lot of merit.  If that is the criteria being used, I'd kind of hope we'd get Omnitron-U, though.  It would be a bit weird to get Captain Cosmic's combined form with the Prime Wardens forms appearing later on.

Looking at these, I think that Omnitron-U is most likely, followed by Visionary.  Ra, CC, and SS all have varients directly related to OblivAeon.  On the flip side, neither Visionary or O-X's bios mention OblivAeon at all.  Of the two of them, O-X doesn't have a promo, while Visionary does, so I think that O-X is more likely, although it's a bit of a coin flip there.

The real dark horse candidate, though, is "not Kvothe" AA, who could technically be considered an OblivAeon promo, but probably shouldn't be.

My feeling is that it is Omnitron-U. Omni-U looks like a hero that has been in development the longest and therefore the most likely to be finalised.

From a story perspective Omni-U also seems to be the one earliest in chronology (discounting team variants).

That color scheme would work pretty well with Visionary too.  So, yeah, I think that it's one of them.

Partially with choke point being in the preview pack, whose card art does feature him, I think omni-u is the promo we would get. 

Omni-U was also one of the first big revels in the ARG, so I second the thought that that could've been in the works for a while.  That plus O-X being one of the few digital heroes w/o a variant and that's where I'd place my bet.

I'm also really hoping we get the Kismet variant soon!

Well the sooner this funds the better the chance we get stuff like that.

Plus Omni-U would probably be unlocked in a battle against Omnitron I, probably involving the card Self Sabotage and Unity.

Was Omnitron IV (The environment) a part of that story though? So would that be involved in the unlock condition?

I believe some of the spare parts required to convert O-X to Omni-U was taken from Omni-IV.

I know we don't really talk about it here, but in view of the new sanctioned sale of it as a licensed deal at Drive Thru Cards I'll bring it up. Any hope that maybe as a stretch goal or even Season 3 we might get digital Cauldron?

I doubt it, unless Workshop ends up as a stretch goal, gets unlocked, and then somebody else takes the time to do it.

I know this project looks like it'll fund (kicktraq's projections are promising) but I am still anxious about it because it hasn't funded yet.

I don't think I've wanted anything this much since the Oblivaeon kickstarter. 

I'd like to see this funded before the last two days so that there is a bigger chance of hitting stretch goals like the Season Two preview and beyond.   The Handelabra team has done a great job with their implementation and they deserve some stability.

I would kickstart this if either:

1 - Make the pre-order available for my ipad and fix it so it can actually run (sooooo slow right now)

2 - Let me transfer my purchase of Season 1 to Steam from iOS.

What game lets you transfer your season pass from one platform to another one?

Don't get me wrong, I love the app even though I have the physical version as well.  Well, I loved it until the latest update that killed performance for me I should say.  A newer ipad is not in the budget currently and neither is buying a whole other copy of the game on a different platform.

When deciding whether to buy the iOS version or the Steam version there was not anything stating certain features or unlocks would be tied to one version or the other.  Not being able to get any of the rewards at all bites.  Foil Hero pack?  Nope.  Foil villain pack?  Not that either.

The only thing listed in the FAQ was just to decide whether you wanted to play on a windows/mac PC or on an iPad.

The foil packs are only an exclusive for the KS for Steam right now.  However, they'll be available on all platforms eventually but they can give out codes freely for Steam without restriction but for Andrioid they're limited in how many and for the rest they can't offer it at all.

I think I only bought it in January.  Maybe I will see if I can get refunded in the apple store and buy it through Steam instead.

None of the features are tied to one version or the other. Assuming the Kickstarter campaign succeeds, Season Pass 2 will be on sale at the same time on all platforms. The digital foil packs will be on sale at the same time on all platforms. Neither of them are exclusive to the Kickstarter.

Backing on the Kickstarter does have some exclusive rewards, but you can get them no matter what platform you play on.

I know I once said I wasn't interested in the foil packs from GTG's Kickstarter, but after seeing more of the art, I'm kind of stoked digital is picking them up.

Hey, anyone have an idea what the next squish goal should be? As of the eleventh update they asked for sugestions for their $75K goal, but no one's named a really good one yet...

I liked the AMA with Christopher idea. Otherwise, I have no clue. I can't think of practically anything they havent done.

Advanced Akash vs the Prime Wardens. I never get to play their origin story in a physical game.

I voted for advanced heroic infinitor in Realm of discord against all of the supportish/restoration tpye heroes: AA, The visionary, Scholar Redeemer fanatic and..Nightmist? I forgot who the last one was.

I voted for Apostate in Rook City vs the revived heroes: Redeemer Fanatic, Horus Ra: DW Fixer, Haka, and... Someone else who came back after they lost their first fight.

I went with Ennead Advanced vs Ra, Absolute Zero, Legacy, and Mr. Fixer at the Tomb of Anubis.  I think I might have had Haka there, too.  I can't remember.  I was just intending for a grand brawl.

I just got an email from Handleabra about there being 7 days left in the kickstarter.

The email said that there would be 11 new heroes and 19 new villains in season 2.

Unless I’m mistaken season 2 will have 16 heroes and 17-27 villains depending on if you count Scions.

Since I know MigrantP checks this thread this seemed a good place to point this out.

This was a fantastic idea, by the way. Even though it turned out that I voted for the 2 heroes least likely to succeed. A lot of love for Heroic Infinitor and Progeny, probably because they’re new.

I voted an equipment heavy team of F6 Wraith, Bunker, Darkwatch Expatriette, Omnitron-X, and Sky-Scraper vs Advanced Chairman on The Block. I know we’ve seen a lot of Bunker and quite a few Wraith on these things so I won’t be surprised if they don’t make it, I just thought it was a cool theme.

Yep! So the more mobile backers & longer the discount period, the more stretch goals we have a chance to hit.

I want us to hit all the stretch goals, but I really hope that we at least hit the 95K mark. I want that digital variant and that preview pack!

If/when we hit it, how long will we have that pack for? Will it be permanent, or are we getting limited access to it just long enough to whet our appitites?

Given that the only way to get it is via the Season 2 pack, I assume it will be present until the packs that contain Setback (Vengeance), Chokepoint (Mini-Pack 4) and The Temple of Zhu Long (Villains of the Multiverse) release.  It would be pretty silly if we had access to them then lost them before all three packs are out.

Why would it be limited access? Season Pass 2 will be a permanent purchase, just like Season 1.

Now, how to unlock him?  My guess is something to do with fighting Omnitron with Omnitron-X and Unity on the team and Omnitron-X probably has to be defeated after using certain cards...

Also, man, I've had some games where OU's power would have been awesome. And it's til the end of the next turn, so Singularity or Self-Sabotage just became insane.

Which soundtracks? There are 4 out already and more still to be made.

On the Digital Downloads page, it says the soundtrack rewards have not been distributed yet.

Have you filled in your backerkit? If not then Handelabra have no idea who wants (and paid) for them!

Yup, completely. That's how I got the character wallpaper, but it's locking me out of the soundtrack.

We explained that in the update yesterday.

Due to how BackerKit works, we’ll be “locking down” survey responses once a day in order to fulfil your rewards for existing content. You will still be able to change your shipping address later if needed, and if you do change your mind about something let us know and we can “unlock” your survey.

The first lock down will happen today around noon Eastern.
