Figured I'd start the thread for this one, seeing as I didn't see one. I found this one pretty easy. I kept waiting for some really weird combo of cards (multiple Sedative Flechettes back-to-back with Technological Singularity), but aside from an oddly stacked environment deck, this one was pretty normal.

Was this supposed to be Cosmic Omnitron and got mixed up like the accidental advanced Voss scenario a few weeks ago? I minted it with the only damage my characters took during the whole game being self-inflicted from Frost Bound Draw and External Combustion.

On their stream Handelabra mentioned they occassionally want to do Weekly One Shots with Core decks only for new players. Accordingly, this seems like a beginner difficulty scenario. Nothing wrong with that! I'll always enjoy beating up villains!

I think there was a rather large influx of new players, so this was probably targeted more toward getting them into the game rather than testing the skill of veterans.

This could also be played without any of the expansions too and gives them a peak at variants they couldn't otherwise unlock at the moment.

Got mint despite not really paying attention at the beginning and allowing Tempest to repeatedly draw cards with both Localized Hurricane and Interpolation Beam out.
I wanted to hit the rewind button every time, yet I kept making the same mistake. Oh, well.
M'kk's tough and found a way to deal with the pain.

An early misclick nearly cost me my Mint. Accidentially used Localized Hurricane's second power to destroy itself the turn after it came into play. Because of that, the game was significantly dragged out far longer than it needed to be. Ended up having to let Omnitron heal back to full from ~20 while recovering and building back up under a Meteor Storm. Got slammed with Flechettes/Singularity back-to-back more than once. The second time it happened, I was able to retaliate with Fueled Freeze for 2 components and Adaptive Plating, followed by External Combustion to wipe his board in return. It was a pretty brutal slug fest, but no one died. Though we were really dicy for a bit. I would have lost if the Environment didn't flip a third Meteor Storm after it's reshuffle, since there was an EPE at 7 health, 2 of each drone, and a rail gun in play while everyone except Wraith was in single digits.

I did the same thing. Decided to go back and accept a Near Mint.

I almost lost this one, a combination of bad choices, and hitting no instead of yes on two different environment cards led me to win with Tempest at 1hp, and Bunker leading the team with 10hp.
Getting hit with Red Dust and Fire in the Biosphere twice because your fat finger registers a no instead of a yes. . . grr.
On a positive note my old Kindle now holds Sentinels with all expansions and room left over, didn't even have to delete other stuff to get it all on.
Hooray for the smaller file size!

The Weekly One-Shot features a variety of games. It is not "The Weekly Super Difficult Game" =)

Minty Fresh!
Although I think that Omnitron's second side brought back Interpolation Beam every single bloody time.

Mint. Nothing much to report, just a fairly standard Omnitron game. Got Tech singularity'd once. Interpolation beam came back regularly, but that just made it so I didn't use Hurricane.
Actually used Locomotion to get ride of an Adaptive plating Subroutine. I couldn't manage to keep the Omni Cannon in play long enough to use it.
Fire in the Biosphere translated into a lot of damage to Omni, since zero had the transducer and Coolant Blast in play.
Terra forming the red dust into a Tech singularity was a dirty trick. "Here's your stuff back. Now Imma blow it all up." Bad robot! NO OILCAN FOR YOU!

I was sneaky and tossed a foam grenade so I got the dust after the singularity. NIcely done, Bunker. NIcely done.

I had used Impromptu to get an Infrared Eyepiece, and had put the Tech Singularity at the bottom of the deck. The Terraforming blew up the Dust and got me my stuff back.

Missed "mint" -- accidentally pressed the "destroy this card" power for Localized Hurricane. :( Ended up really getting whacked by Sedative Flechettes and Technological Singularity, Tempest was down to 1 HP...but then came Meteor Swarm. I literally turtled for about 6-7 rounds, using Cleansing Downpour and Maintenance Unit, building everybody's ongoings and equipment back, loading up the Omni-Cannon, then in a nice bit of coincidence, Omnitron pulled Terraforming just at the round I was ready to destroy Meteor Swarm myself. All four heroes opened up on him, and after Vicious Cyclone/Lightning Slash (+ Gene Bound Shackles), a super-powered Coolant Blast, a 30-point Omni Cannon burst, and a Inventory Barrage, the killer robot lay in pieces.

I was going through a test run last night in order to unlock the variants needed for this one-shot. It looks like Localized Hurricane is bugged. The "First Power" option is missing when you try and use the power from the zoomed in card view.

Two things. First, you don't have to unlock any variants that are used in a one shot the game will let you use them even if you haven't met unlock conditions. I'm pretty sure this one shot was made so that new players who only have the base set could play with variants they have no ability to unlock currently. Second, I've seen that issue posted in various forums and threads so Handelabra is aware of that one.

Oh, I know you don't need to unlock them to play the one-shot. I was unlocking them so I could do a test run with them. Omnitron has been one of the only "easy" villains to constantly give me fits.

Honestly, with this one, if you just keep using Infra Red Eyepiece as soon as you get it and keep the environment under control, you'll avoid his two worst cards entirely, and you shouldn't have any trouble from there.

The heroes were new to me, but it was the same old cards from the same old decks. Omnitron's a very familiar opponent and Wagner's a very familiar environment, so it's not too surprising that I got mint again.

Got mint fairly easily, and no infrared eyepiece. Just lots and lots of equipment and replacement equipment because of the pervasive red dust and technological singularity.
It didn't hurt that I was able to use Localized Hurricane's damage power without interference by any bugs.

The bug did not prevent you from using the power using the shortcut method (click/tap the card, then click/tap the green box).

I encountered a bug on this fight. I had played AZ’s card that causes villain effects that trigger at the end of the turn to trigger at the start instead (turned out to be a terrible idea), and Omni played a drone that triggers at the end of the turn. I forget which one, I’d have to check my Twitch highlight. Anyways, it still acted at the end of the turn instead of the beginning.
If this was an “easy” one shot I’m glad it was the first one I tried - I admittedly played absolutely horribly, but I got my Mint.

Omnitron on his Rampaging Robot side plays a card at the end of this turn so if a drone was played from that it would still get to trigger its ability since it would occur as part of the start of turn actions now.

You sure that the card wasn't played at the beginning of the turn due to Omnitron's character card? That would mean that the card would also act as it was still the start of turn.

I'm 100% sure it fired off at the end of the turn, not the beginning. I had people watching my stream, too.
EDIT: I'm an idiot. I went back and watched and it *was* still the start of turn phase. Stupid Terraforming... so no bug here, just me not paying enough attention.

Finally played this and got my Good.
Timing of the Flechettes and Singularities make for a very interesting game, with heroes constantly switching roles from Ongoing Destr to damage dealer to tanker!
