Question about Weekly One Shots

I'm new to the weekly one shots even though I've owned the game since it came out I was waiting for multiplayer to come out and so kinda just forgot about it. Are the fights in weekly one shots scripted? Cause everything is pulling exacrlty the same so kinda feel more like card counting than actually strategy at this point since I know what cards I would need to defeat the villian and forcing the villian to mill me as close as possible to those cards seems kinda silly.

Some of them are scripted, while others are random seed, I believe.  Shuffle effects may randomize it, though I'm not sure.

Some are scripted (sort of), some are not.  The random seed at the start has been set up for some of them to give specific cards.  However, playing cards that mess with decks vs. not messing with decks will cause different cards to show up.  Right now every game, when replayed, starts with the same random seed, so if you take the exact same actions you will get exactly the same outcome.

Anything that shuffles a deck will allow that deck to get out different cards.  Onboard Module Installation, or milling through a deck with Infrared Eyepiece or Trust Fund can change which cards get drawn and give you a chance even in a game where the starting seed isn't in your favor.

For the most part, if the decks are random it will say in the one-shot. Like The Kismet one or the Akash'bhuta one.

Without the fixed seed, the weekly one-shot wouldn't really provide anything new compared to what could already be done: somone posting in the forum about a game setup they played and others trying it out.

The fixed seed lets everyone try the game with the same starting circumstances so that people can more easily discuss/compare gameplay choices.

In terms of knowing the deck orders after the first game, well that's what trying to get Mint in your first try is for.  And most people avoid reading forum spoilers so they have an honest go at trying for Mint.

Yah I get htat but after I try once it just feel like cheating, like stacking the decks the challenge for me drops out of the game since I can anticpate pretty much everythign that will happen at that point so playing agian feels boring to me. I'm not saying it's bad but for me perosnally there will never be a reason to try more than once.
