All I've got left do is finish unlocking the variants.

I missing 4 variants, the redirection one, and the one character one hp. That’s a tough one.

Any recommendations for that one?

I haven't tried it yet, but when I do, I'm going to use Fanatic.  Sacrosanct Martyr is perfect for reducing your health to a specified amount, and then using it to deal a finishing blow to your opponent.

For the character 1 HP one I fought Cosmitron. For some reason I've been in like three fights where only one character was alive at 1 HP. For the redirection one, that one was a little complicated. Tachyon had three Synaptics and was the highest HP target, and so the first time she was hit got redirected to Nightmist who used the Amulet who redirected it back to Tachyon who redirected it to the hero with the lowest HP which triggered smoke bombs, and I did that twice. I tried to do Lead From the Front, but for some reason the game only asked me if I wanted to redirect to Legacy one time.

For the 1 hp, I did it against Gloomweaver in the final wasteland. I used Haka's savage mana to get all of the tragets under it, and then whittled his life down to 1, then savage mana'd Gloomweaver for the win. Takes a while, but it was a guaranteed way to make sure nothing happened and I could get it at my leisure. I suppose this would also work for the one where you have to finish with everyone at full life. Just bring Argent.

This helps a ton! Thanks! If you don't mind me askin, but any recommendations who else to bring? I think TLT can be of assistance, making sure Haka gets all the cards faster.

Also, update on my Steam Cheevs: I'm just missing this one.

Do you think they'll add more non-variant achievements when the other expansions come out?

Got flawless victory this morning - Greatest Legacy, Tempest, Ra vs Ambuscade. Everyone healing for 5 points every turn made that relatively painless. (2x Cleansing downpour plus Motivational Charge)

I have found that Ambuscade is a great villain for getting achievements and variants. I got flawless victory by playing against Plague Rat and taking Ra and Visionary to nullify his damage along with Tempest and Argent to heal for the turns Paparazzi was played.

I got Flawless Victory against advanced Omnitron while working on the Hero We Deserve achievement.   I had a team of Legacy, TLT, Tempest, Omnitron-X, and Dark Visionary.   Omnitron got locked down.

I can't remember all who I brought, but I think I also had Argent for that fight to help get through Haka's deck faster and/or give him extra power use. I'm pretty sure I had Greatest Legacy as well. Other than that, it could seriously be anyone. Tachyon would also help for getting cards. I may have brought Ra as well to KO the other party members once I had gotten everything set up. It's mainly getting Haka set up and having others whittle things down to where his taiaha could take them out. I had him in the last position.

I'm missing the Redirection achievement and whatever the hidden one is.

The hidden ones are any of the variants. At least, to my knowledge I don't think there are any hidden ones that aren't variant related.

Type in Misdirection Redirection into the search and you’ll find a wonderful forum post for it.

As for the no playing cards, I kept it to three heroes as unwanted as little damage as possible

Winning with no cards is easy:

Mad Bomber Blade vs Legacy (boost), DW Fixer (4dam), Fanatic (2dam+2dam), Haka (3dam), Ra or F6 AZ (3dam)

14 points of damage per turn, and MBB doesn't get his platforms or other minions.  He's only got 70 points, so if all goes well it'll only take you 5 turns, not really enough time for him to kill you (with lucky draws from the Environment, I've done it in four turns).

I did it in the Final Wasteland as you can often get the critters there to throw some extra damage his way as well.

You could also do:

Mad Bomber Blade vs Young Legacy (4dam), DW Fixer (3dam), Haka (2dam), Ra (2dam), F6 AZ (2dam)

But that's one point less damage per round and can be harder if MBB draws a force field.

Winning w/o using powers was harder, but basically the same strategy - Heroes with lots of damage dealing one-shots against MBB

My trick for winning with 1 hero standing and 1hp left was to play against The Chairman in the Block with Grandpa Legacy, Haka, Visionary, (and I don't rmember who else.  I milled for a couple of games until I got a good start in which I could get the Chariman to flip early and then start using Savage Mana to trap every Underboss, Thug, Agent, and Inmate in the game.  Grandpa Legacy kept giving Haka heals and extra plays (to pull more targets into savage mana) and Visionary used Twist to boost Haka and keep Villain Damage controllable.  Once I got everything but The Chairman under Savage Mana, that left the environment powerless and the Villain desk was just 3 healing cards, 2 useless prison breaks, 2 useless play more environment cards, and 3 damage cards (which only targeted Haka as he had the most HP).

Once I was set, I got the Chairman down to a couple of HP, carefully got Legacy down to 1hp, knocked out Visionary and then on Grandpa Leg's turn he use his 1st power to have Haka use Savage Mana to knock himself out then Legacy used his second power to Motivational Charge the Chairman.

I suspect there were easier ways to go about this, but once you've got the basics of this going, there's almost nothing the Villain deck can do about it.

As for my status, I've unlocked all of the achievements except the friggin' F6 Bunker.  Gonna focus on that tonight.

Only one that gave me a bunch of trouble was the Misdirection Redirection which I kept messing up, even with the tips from the forum thread.

One other note re: 1hp left and game control through Savage Mana.  I used to do this in the Wasteland, as the remaining cards help the player after the critters are mana'd, but there's a bug with Unforgiving Wasteland and the Chairman that can cause the game to end unexpectedly, so I use the Block now.

It's not a bug.  It's caused by having 3 Underbosses removed from the game due to Environment Damage while Unforgiving Wasteland is out and the Chairman is unflipped.  The Chairman's deck has 5 total Underbosses and needs 3 in the trash to flip, so having too many removed will make the game unwinnable.

The bug that was occurring was defeating the Chairman (typically put under Savage Mana)before the Operative and having any combination of Underbosses removed / under Savage Mana.   That situation caused you to immediately lose even though you shouldn't.

There is in fact a bug because the game is considering the underbosses under Savage Mana as removed as well in this case. It will be fixed in the next update out soon.

Well, I found a silly way to get the 1 HP one.  I was actually trying for the "100 damage of each type" challenge, using AZ + Fixed Point shenanigans.  Once I got that, I still had Ra, Visionary, and AZ's turns left, and I figured, I bet I can do enough damage to get one hero down to 1 HP, and kill all the others.  Voss was already far gone at that point, he'd knocked out Legacy (although thankfully after Fixed Point came out) and AZ was so far under the hill that he'd waved at Australia as he passed by.  So I brought Ardent Adept down to 1, killed off Ra and Visionary, and then watched as Fixed Point evaporated and everyone dropped like flys.

Then I nuked Voss with Coolant Blast just because I could.

Incidentally, how strict are the requirements for that achievement?  Would I have gotten it if I had only one hero standing and they had less than 1 HP?

The requirements are what they say. Less than 1 HP is not 1 HP.

I got 100% Achievements.

So @Migrant P. Will we get more cheevs in later expansions that are not variant related as well?

So, I was trying to get the Dark Visionary Achievement (having previously unlocked Dark Visionary using the button).  I did everything as described: I defeated Gloomy on his backside using Visionary as she came out of her Telekinetic Cocoon.  I did not get the achievement.  Is this because I was using Dark Visionary rather than regular Visionary?

Yes.  You have to unlock her using normal Visionary.

Last night, I had a game against The Chairman with Mr. Fixer where I didn't get the progress notification for the Nemesis achievement, even though Fixer dealt the final blow to both Chairman and Operative.  Fixer offed the Chairman before the Operative, so could this be the cause?

There is no such thing in the Hero Challenge Achievements document (here, for reference).

Yes, you would need to end the game with Mr. Fixer hitting The Chairman.

I think that UXM266 was thinking of the Story Challenges.

Does this mean that Visionary can't take part in this achievement?

She can be in games where you make progress toward the achievement. I'll leave it as an exercise to the reader to determine whether you can win a game by having The Visionary deal the final damage to her nemesis.

I got my last one unlocked today. Believe it or not it was the advanced mode one. I just don't like playing on advanced, it's not difficulty, it's "balance" that feels off.
