Does Omnitron's power count torwards this achievement, or does it count as "coming into play"?

If you use Timeshift to put something into play, you will not get the achievement.

Hero cards can't come into play for any reason. So avoid any environments that can play hero cards for you (EG Atlantis or Realm of Discord).

Dark Watch Mr. Fixer is awesome for this acheivement, though no matter what you do, you're going to have to get lucky.

On the Steam forum UXM266 posted steps which work well:

- Omnitron-X

- Dark Visionary

- Grandpa Legacy

vs

Gloomweaver in the Final Wasteland

1. Use Omnitron-X's power on Gloomweaver to trash relics or anything really

2. Use Dark Visionary to stack his deck

3.  Use Grandpa Legacy power on either

4.  Let Unforgiving Wasteland deal with any villain targets

5.  Win by relic victory

The Super Scientific Tachyon could help with that method too.

Quite true but then you are increasing potential damage dealt out.   It also has a chance of revealing two relics and putting them into play which is not what you wants.   Odds are more likely you won't but it is a risk.

Well, if Dark Visionary reveals two relics, then one of them is going to the bottom of the deck. I would have TSST there for that possibility, and not use her otherwise (except perhaps use her on the environment).

The only reason I use 3 Heroes is so that any damage that does occur, is so small it's insignificant.

I got Extreme Hostage status by abusing poor, poor Tempest. Fighting Iron Legacy with Haka, DW Fixer, Dark Visionary, and Tempest in Jurassic Park.

  1. First round Haka and Ra punch Tempest as hard as they can + choose Tempest as target for villain damage whenever possible.
  2. Second round forward Tempest negates all melee damage dealt to heroes.
  3. ???
  4. Profit

I just went for maximum damage with Legacy, Fanatic, Ra, DW Fixer, and Haka against Baron Blade in Insula Primalis.  14 damage a turn, and hope you don't get a Living Force Field or a Backlash Field.  About 6 turns, unless you get an Obsidian Field or a carefully managed Velociraptor to add to that.

Same, but Mad Bomber Blade in the Final Wasteland (and you can sub in F6 AZ for Haka or Ra).  With some help from the Wasteland, I've KO'd Blade in 4 turns.

Hadn't thought about gimmicking a Gloomy Relic victory.  Now I wanna go do that.

Did the cheesy Gloomweaver version, with Dark Visionary, Omni-X, SST and Old Legacy.

By accident and coincidence, I also got "That Was Close!" with only SST standing (Thanks, Char)

I had to try this twice--I think there's a bug in the current version of the game.  First I beat Ambuscade the old-fashioned way: Legacy, Fanatic, Dark Watch Fixer, Tempest, and Dark Visionary in Final Wasteland.  I won, without any hero cards coming into play, but no achievement.  Might be because I suspended the game and came back to it later.

Second try, I did the Gloomweaver thing and won at the end of round 2, and got the achievement.  The relics were 3 of the top 4 cards in the deck!
