Rook City Wraith Grandpa Legacy Chrono and Eow Bunker versus Gloomweaver  advanced in the Time Cataclym. The three relics come out first followed by a vast following that might bring one you've killed back.Other than that this is an an achievable mint

Got the mint, but that was weird. Not sure where the cursed acolyte in the trash that came out as a result of a vast following came from. Dropped "the ultimate target on Gloomweaver and fished the Compounded Bow out of Chrono's deck to smack the relics around. Vast Following pulled two of them back out -- I knew I should have played take down that turn.

Take Down got to last two turns because Fixed Point came out the turn after I played it. DIdn't get a ton of use out of Haka, but Bunker foaming the environment MAY have helped out on the last turn.

Nobody was down, was CR and Bunker were in single digit HP.

I minted it with Wraith and Chrono-Ranger at 8 HP, Haka at 12, and Bunker and Legacy at 13. I honestly forgot that Gloomweaver had a flip side! Vast Following brought out two killed relics while his third one was still out, and then there I was, seeing his flip side in action on the app for the first time ever in over 500 hours of play. Getting to double Stun Bolt and Neuro-Toxin him every turn made him pretty toothless. I pulled two Ground Pounds at the end of the game that I never had to use.

Meanwhile for me Bunker was not useful, but Haka did ok, and everyone ended up at solid health.

2 Take downs delayed the Vast following enough that I didn't even know it was there.  The Wraith and Chrono Ranger were tearing up the relics with legacy's help and bounties.  Last turn just had the 3rd relic out, Fished deck for the increased damage taken bounty, fished trash for the increased damage done bounty, and then my bow did 6 and 6 for a total of 23 damage from chrono ranger on that card that turn.

Almost max HP. 27,26,28,30,27. Here's my writeup from the playtest boards:

Enjoyed this one. First turn relic that potentially does a ton of damage was alarming. I decided to focus on DR so used the Stun Bolt. I hadn't actually noticed the game was Advanced until that attack unexpectedly did no damage! Then I panicked a bit more when the second relic came out, but soon twigged that going after the relics was the way to win this game and Take Down/Eyepiece would be my friends.

I've never left the Atlantean Throne Room in play before! It's DR was great against the relic. Later I had a lovely combination of Main Computer Room giving me card draw while Take Down prevented extra villain plays and then Fixed Point kept the Take Down around another round.

By the late game it was clear the well set up heroes had everything easily under control and I coasted to a nearly full HP victory, but it was pretty exciting in the beginning and the desire to make sure I got mint kept me on the edge of my seat even in the mid game.

Used Ultimate Target on GloomWeaver, despite not actually intending to attack GloomWeaver, in order to get the extra power users throughout the game. Put By Any Means on the relics to focus fire one each one in turn.

I just let him flip then killed all the relics, then fixed point came up after Take Down. I was double Stun Bolting every turn so everyone ended in double digit HP even after Ronway.  CR was doing 7 and 7 with the bow with 3 bounties + Hunter and Hunted out to easily finish Gloomy

Wow. I suck at this game. Failed miserably my first shot! Kept losing cards from those relics…

I was doing okay to start...got rid of the drum to start before he flipped...until the main computer room played the card that shuffled his stupid deck and replay the stupid drum...Then it went downhill from there. Didn't help that none of the heroes had good starting hands apart from Wraith and Legacy as the only damage dealers. Hate villains that keep forcing you to destroy everything at the start of the game...

Got Mint on Gloomy as well.  Thanks to Fixed Point, had 2 Takedowns last three turns which gave me more than enough time to smash the first two relics and build up to destroy the third on sight.  Gloomweaver did pitifully nothing as Wraith made sure the really nasty environments didn't show up.  Didn't see Savage Mana until after I had more or less won, so oh well.  No big deal.  Chrono Ranger was definite MVP that game thanks to Ultimate Target and Hunter and Hunted.  Especially once the Masadah showed up.  Starting off with Jim's Hat is just busted with all the free card draw thanks to Atlantean Throne Room.

Hunter and Hunted plus Danny Boy and 4 Bounties turned Chrono into a beast.  Vast Following made the game into a sort-of relic whack-a-mole.  After using 2 take downs to stall the last relic play I was able to win a relic victory.  I don't think Bunker used a single power all game his biggest contribution being a single external combustion.  That was fun one.

I got mint, but it was a nightmare.

I had all three relics in the trash and was on my way to an easy victory. Then out came the Main Computer Room, which played Vast Following. When Gloomweaver flipped, he crushed Chronoranger in one turn.

I still pulled it off with gratuitous use of Ground Pound and Stun Bolt. Bunker might as well have been picking his nose the entire time.

Is everyone getting the same setups?  I minted this one pretty easily; the only thing I can figure is that I made optimal plays by accident.  I'm seeing other people using Eyepiece - I never got Eyepiece.

The key for me was probably being aggressive and playing two early Take Downs in a row after I'd whacked the first relic and was working on the remainig two.  That, plus the three relics were all served up pretty early.  I figured that the Take Downs and Wraiths environment scouting ability meant that I was on a short clock until Gloomy's Vast Following came up.  As it turned out, the turn I killed the third relic, I had Wraith scout the environment deck just in case and she trashed the Main Computer Room that plays the top card of the villain deck - I guess we'll never know if that woulda shuffed in the three dead relics. (edit - nevermind) Legacy was the MVP as usual.  Wraith and Chrono did most of the heavy lifting on DPS, Haka threw in a Rampage and an Elbow Smash, Bunker stalled the environment deck for a turn and exploded the first wave of zombies.  It seemed like it went really smooth, but apparently I could've been >.< close to having my win snatched away with Vast Following?

Edit:

Looks like using Wraith last turn was what saved my bacon - ha!

It was a pretty quick mint for me as well. Just sucked it up and took the damage from the drum rather that get rid of cards. Was able to get the ranger rolling with just doing my job and Jims hat. Then legacy locked down gloomy with takedown as soon as the third relic entered play. I guess a few different decisions makes a big difference.

Matchstickman and I were able to achieve another Mint issue this week. Defeated him by getting his relics in the trash.

Wow. Reading all these comments and it doesn't look like anybody else used the same strategy I used. (See pic attached for effectiveness)

http://oi67.tinypic.com/i78weq.jpg

Basically, use Chrono-Ranger and Wraith's "Search for Equipment" cards to grab a Neuro-Toxin Dart Thrower and two Stun Bolts. Throw out the damage reduction items like Plating, Recharge Mode, Fortitude and Ta' Moko.

These items combo extremely well with Atlantean Throne Room so the relics effectively do nothing. You can skip pretty much everything late game and Gloomweaver will do literally zero damage. Just throw out a Rampage if the Zombies are a problem.

I loved this one! really showcasing how different strengths of these characters can be used to secure victory in different ways. MINT.

I'm with you. Check my post above. Used Legacy mostly to have Wraith do another Stun Bolt. Also used the Dart Thrower and got out Ta Moko and the Plating. Made for a slow, but safe game.

Hrm - I initially also tried using multiple stun bolts from Wraith on the relics but then found out (since I can't read good) that the relics don't do damage, they make *Gloomweaver* do damage - and I can't use stun bolts on Gloomweaver since he's immune to projectile damage.  So I just said eff it and burned down the relics.   That said, it's still not a bad idea at all to stack Neuro-Toxin Darts along with the Atlantean Throne Room and damage resisting ongoings - that is a safer strategy for not getting blindsided by Vast Following or the environment.

Other interesting thing - between getting Rook City Wraith and 3x Enduring Intercession, I initially interpreted that as a signal that my strategy should be to manipulate the environment deck to win the game but I shortly abandoned that notion and just spammed grenades to stall the env deck instead.

You don't need to actually do damage with the stun bolt for the debuff to affect it.

I managed to get mint, and it was close. The Vast Following brought out the relic I had just killed letting Gloomy flip. CR actually died, but thanks to Fixed Point he was allowed to end the game at 5 HP. Once Wraith got her Impromptus and Haka got Taiaha, and the relics were destroyed, I was able to gain control and get the mint, I mean...save the day.

I had Chrono Ranger on damage duty while Legs, Haka, and Bunker tanked.  I took out the Drum the same turn the Grimoire came out (Ultimate Target is great!), but then (like everyone else) I got hit with Main Computer Room into Fixed Point, Vast Following, Cursed Acolyte, and Profane Zealot.  But Atlantean Throne Room + Heavy Plating/Fortitude/Ta Moko + Lead From the Front + Smoke Bombs spread the damage around pretty thinly, so I did okay.  Then some focused fire on the Pouch of Bones, and a Rampage to clear the board, and I was back in business.  Hunter & Hunted + Compounded Bow & Masada brought Gloomy down pretty quickly after that.

I tried going the double Takedown route, but didn't quite manage to do enough damage to the Drums before Gloomie flipped. As it turns out, the combination of stun bolts, neurotoxin darts, Fortitude, Lead From the Front, Smoke Bombs, Heavy Plating, and Atlantean Throne Room was enough to prevent Gloomweaver or his wretched Cursed Acolyte from doing any damage to anyone, which meant that Chrono-Ranger could safely play Hunter Hunted and then Danny-Boy did everything in sight for 4-6 points of damage every turn. He just blew everything apart, and then Haka finished with a Rampage. Bunker had 6 cards on his Omni-Cannon in case anything went wrong. Ended with everyone above 23 HP.

Pretty straightforward game. Thanks to Servoret for reminding me that Neurotoxin Dart Thrower exists; I would have pulled Masada early and taken more damage and would have been sad.

Mint.

I timed (by accident) a ground pound on the turn that fixed point came out, which was followed by the third relic's appearance, which flipped Gloomweaver...so he had two rounds of not dealing any damage.

Chrono had 5 bounties out by that point... With hunter and hunted+bow+ground pound+One-shots+legacy selecting CR for an extra power use, he was able to deal 40+ damage in each of two consecutive rounds, while not taking any damage in return.

Needless to say, that was the end of Gloomweaver.

I had to throat punch him a million times but I finally took him out. Chrono Ranger and Bunker didn't make it though.

My group did it the long way. We ended up defeating gloomweaver by hitting her a lot with what damage chrono could do each turn. Someone put one of the relics on the bottom of the deck so had to go that route

It was a strange game to be sure but I enjoyed going the long way around. The first time I played the scenario we took out the relics quickly thanks to smart uses to throat jab and Legacy denying draws to Gloomweaver.

Man, this one was easy. Everyone ended in their 20s, and even the Profane Zealot barely made a dent, thanks to Legacy having Next Evolution'd himself against Infernal, Lead from the Front, the Atlantean Throne Room and everyone's armor. I didn't even bother attacking the relics for the most part, since all the Stun Bolts and Darts kept Gloomy from doing much of anything. Once Legacy got NE and LftF out, I was able to let the Throneroom die and then it was swiftly downhill for Gloomy, with Greatest Legacy finishing things with a good Thokking.

I feel like Bunker was basically useless, though -- Gloomweaver didn't get any of his Ongoings out, so his base power went totally unused, and he just kind of sat there healing for most of the game. The only offensive power he got out was the Omnicannon right near the end and he used it all of once.

Why do I get the feeling that we're going to eventually get a "Wraith, Parse, and (classic/Grandpa) Legacy vs The Ennead (Advanced?) at Megaopolis" with Shu as the last Ennead on the stack.

I plowed right through this one.

Used Bunker's Combustion to wipe the zombies turn 1 while everyone else focused on the drum. Got Inpsiring Presence out early, and had Chrono put the bounty on Gloomweaver that gave Chrono a free shot every turn when Gloomy did damage.  Figured on advanced mode with 5, the trick would be to wipe all 3 relics on the same turn, so I played an early Take Down and another when I was down to 2 relics in play (I had to eventually drop the drum because I didn't want Gloomy to flip.)  Chrono was a ping-beast like always, Wraith did her share of batarang damage, Legacy was Legacy, and Haka finished it off with a Rampage.

Everyone was pretty comfortable in teens or low 20s in HP and that was after that buffed Rampage.

I suffered my first defeat.  Stupid Computer Room.

The second time I did it right and got all three relics in the trash.  This was my first time with Chrono-Ranger and I couldn't get him to do much.  I have much to learn about his mechanics.

This was my least favorite of the one-shots so far - not because I lost it (once), but because it forced me into a grinding kind of game that I do not enjoy.

actually this game went pretty quickly for me.  i adopted Jeremy's "do all the damage" strategy not worrying about my teams health and was surpirse how quickly victory was atained.
