Just played an awesome online game against La Capitan in Time Cataclysm with Chrono Ranger, Tempest, Haka, and Unity. We had a decent amount of control in the first few rounds, but La Capitan played a bunch of cards that kept searching for and getting Crew cards out, as well as destroying our Equipment and Ongoing cards due to the high number of Crew cards in play. At one point we had nothing out but an unusued Cryo Bot, whereas La Capitan had La Paradoja Magnifica, The Amazing Mable, Trueshot, Siege-Breaker, Final Breath, Battle Forged, and probably a couple other cards. Chrono Ranger fell, our HP was in low single digits, and I believe all the villain targets were at close to max HP...

...then Atlantean Throne Room was played, reducing all damage by 1, actually helping keep the heroes alive. We kept it in play for a while, getting more and more under control. The villain board was eventually empty, and their deck reshuffled, so it seemed like things were finally going our way. Eventually there were twice as many bots as active heroes... then thrice as many... and then, in the final round, the Raptor Bots and Platform Bots completely overtook La Capitan.

My absolutely favorite games of Sentinels are those where all hope seems to be lost, where the villain is almost entirely in control and the heroes nearly dead, only for the tides to shift and for the heroes to emerge conquerous.

Haven't had those yet. But I guess I had a close call with me most recent match, that being against Dreamer. My one struggle was to keep everyone alive, but once Legacy was incap it was actually what changed things cuz "Oh, now Haka can damage more". It was that incap power use that wrecked the last two projections I needed for the win.  :slightly_smiling_face:

I had a game against the Dreamer in Silver Gulch this afternoon where, shortly after she flipped, she busted out 2x Dark Hero, 2x Grotesque Arachnoid, a Treacherous Ape, a Whipacorn and an Illusory Demon with the aid of some brutal Violent Nightmares plays. Our team was Chrono-Ranger (me), Bunker, Expatriette and Tempest.

In short order, Chrono-Ranger and Expatriette were down and Bunker and Tempest were not looking good.

We won by the skin of our teeth: we had *just* enough damage, by a single point, to bring down an eight projection -- the last we needed to win -- with Greivous Hail Storm, while Bunker played Adhesive Foam Grenade to keep the environment from killing either the Dreamer or the battered heroes.

Net result, hero victory with Dreamer at 1, Bunker and Tempest at 2. It was very satisfying.

I give you the greatest come from behind screenshot ever.

The heal suppressing smog was out the whole time, so Iron Legacy's healing was negated.

Most of Tachyon's cards played were hypersonic, which kept his damage at bay 'mostly', until she was incap'd.

I probably would not have survived another turn. But damn this win was so good! :P
